Has anyone heard if Jethro is going to play or not? I think he would help out greatly at wide receiver. Go Chiefs!

I was part of this team, our biggest flaw was our defense, we were very young on defense. I believe that if we could have aired it out against Copper Basin than it would have been closer.

Storm and Shane Breeden both have great speed. Another possibility is if Kince plays QB than maybe we will see Elijah at receiver. He has both heighth and speed. PJ McKee

Now here is a comment that really bothers me. Why is it that people have to continuosly bring the town of Vonore up like we r 2 blame 4 everything that goes wrong at Sequoyah? I work and live in Madisonville and I hear almost every Saturday after Friday night's ballgame the same question: How did Madisonville do last night? I always correct them and tell them that it is not Madisonville that it is Sequoyah. How many times has anyone ever heard the question: How did Vonore do last night? I venture to say never! So do not say until Vonore does this or does that than things will not get better. We r in this together so if Sequoyah has problems than it is not just one towns' fault it is both towns fault. Also if Sequoyah is at the top it is because of contributions from both towns. GO CHIEFS!

I also heard that Kince was throwing the ball just as well. Kince also just got back from the Manning Passing Academy, and who better to learn from than the last 2 Super Bowl QB winners.

I know 4 sure that football65 does not have a kid playing on the team.

I just talked to Coach Satterfield and he told me that the weight room will be opened at 6:30am om M-W-F. He will let the players know about T-Th next week.

Not happy does not mean that you do not play football your senior year. I also had a new coach my senior year, but that did not stop me from playing the game I loved.

Wouldn't we all at sometime or another in our lives loved to have picked our boss. Life just does not happen this way.

R the kids going to decide who their teachers r, who their principal is, and later on in life who their bosses r. If the seniors realy want to play football than they will play for anyone.

On a positive note,I wanted to let everyone know that my oldest son Peyton got saved tonight at church. Now both of my kids r saved. I am so happy I thought that I would share the news with everyone.

RED CHIEF why don't you come out of the closet and tell everyone who u r? How can u say he has never been in demand when the only year he has not coached was last year. The school that he is at now is in the process of building a football stadium and starting a football team. I wonder who they intend on coaching the team???? Just to let u know, I have not one time called over to OAK GROVE RD to offer my input. Mr. Lowery has called me to ask what people r saying around Vonore, and I only tell him what I hear. I do not believe that this is a crime.

We do teach all aspects of the game. I know 4 sure that Jerry Denham has been out to Sequoyah numerous times to learn the blocking techniques that Sequoyah uses. We do the exact same drills that they do. The reason that u I am not around when their is work to be done is because the only day that I have off is Sunday. My youngest son plays football, basketball, and baseball. I am at his practices or games every day of the week except for Wednesdays and Sundays, and I am church on those days. As far as getting in free, I could care less. It's not like I do not give them money, last year I gave them about $200 out of my pocket. I do not go to the games just to get in free and set in the box with Jerry. My wife would rather me sit with her. If I did not care about the program at Sequoyah than I would not have put in the last 12 years of my life in one of Sequoya's feeder programs. No one can say that I am only doing it for my kids because I was doing it before either one of my boys were even born. Besides I have never even coached my own kid in football. So I believe that I am putting in work at Sequoyah, work that can be seen on Friday nights. I know more than half the kids on the football team, not just the ones from Vonore. I do not go to home games or away games and criticize or downgrade any player. I go to support the team. If I was just for the Vonore half of the team than I would not be wearing my Sequoyah gear on Friday nights, I would have on only the blue and white.

Unless you know for sure that slobber knocker is who u think it is than I do not appreciate the comment that you have made about our little league program at Vonore. I am pretty sure that I coach with the person that u think is slobber knocker. That is taking a direct hit at me because I am the commissioner at Vonore and in charge of who coaches our little league teams. I am the one in charge of our offensive plays, and yes their r some yrs that we pass the ball more than we run it. It all depends on what type of players we have. I am not a coach that believes that you can run a certain offense every year no matter what. In my opinion you need to evaluate tallent and adjust your offense to meet your tallent. You also need to check in on Coach Satterfield's career. He is just 2 yrs removed from making the playoffs at Grace Christian Academy in only their 2nd year of ever having a football team, a team he started from scratch. The man NEVER(did u get that....NEVER) had a losing record at Greenback in 20 years coaching there. He has beat the likes of McMinn Central,Tellico, Meigs, Sweetwater and so on and so on. I think that's pretty impressive for a single A school. To say that Coach Satterfield has had his day is just not right and in my opinion disrespectful to Coach Satterfield. PJ McKee

So what u r saying is that it is okay to coach at Sequoyah if u r from madisonville(ie; Maurice Moser, Perry Hull, Mike Black, Adam Kefauver, Andy Pennington,..................) but if u ever had anything to do with Vonore than heaven forbid you to even think about coaching at Sequoyah no matter what your credintials r and how well you r known in the state of Tennessee 4 your coaching abilities. The man is obviously passionate about the job or he would not have applied 4 different times. He has told me personally that he would love to coach at least 10 more years and would love to end his career at Sequoyah. That is what we need here is someone with his credintials and committment to the program. This could be what we have all been looking 4 - CONSISTENCY IN THE PROGRAM. I did not mention all of these coachs' names to blast them either. I think that every coach that I mentioned from Madisonville does a great job, and I am glad that the powers to be did not pass on them just because they have ties to Madisonville. All I am trying to say is why go looking for gold when you have it in your own backyard.

Is it realy neccessary to call people names. If you have a problem with Dave I think you need to be a man about it and talk to him face to face. If you do not think he needs to be coaching that is your opinion, but calling him names is just down right rude and uncalled for.

After hearing how broke the Booster Club is, I think it is time 4 people to start pitching in financially. I am going to challenge the Madisonville Sports & Civic Club to match what Vonore Youth Football donated this weekend. I just wrote a check 4 $2000 to Sequoyah Team Booster.
