Whyus!!!

Ole Dad, This is a reply from Coach Stanton Stevens cousin. You talked about all the good teams that OR had in the last several years.The past coaches had talent on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. The team on the bench was just as good as the starters. So how can you compare the talent to what we have now. If you know football as much as you think you do go and compare the past teams man-for man and see what you come up with. It sound to me that you just have a problem with Coach Stevens that is based on his race. Week after week I read you comments and they say the same old thing. Oak Ridge has always been on the top and they are feeling the same thing that all teams go though a rebuilding season. You cant always win every game and a coach can onlylay the foundation for the guys. It takes they guys to MAKE IT HAPPEN. Maybe there is not enough talent to keep the reputation that they have built up. If you football then you know that I am right. The game is over, Let it go. So you didn't put up 50 point on us. So what!! Oh yeah , about the ref's , they were some of the same ones we had when we played you last year. So LET IT GO. Only one thing is different this year is this team has alot of heart and they are not going to lay down . They have been through alot and have come together that's all that matters. The "N" word ws thrown around quite a bit last year. As I see it there are only a few African American kids on the team 3/4. At least to my knowledge it was taken care of. But as we all know old habits and old ways die hard. Teach your kids to be mindful of other races after all we all live in this community and we work and play with one another. But if it becomes a problem this year believe me it will be brought to the surface. An athlete is and athlete if he is Black or White. Go Chiefs!!!!!!!!

Want to check out the refs against a school . Go see any Sequoyah High game. These kids cant catch a break. A player was told by a ref that if has caught him smiling at another team mate he would throw him out of a the game. Meltono7, you seem to know the in/out. I have a question. I was a witness to a game this past friday night were the officating was so bad that I could not believe it. Walking, hard fouls and just all around not calling anything . The foul count ended up being 39 to 12. I want to let them play but this was ridicilous. I witnessed the refs during halftime of the game sitting with the home teams fans having a good ol time. I didnt think that they were suppose to do that. If you have some answers for me I would appreciate it. I really believe that they should be turned in to someone. I know that visiting team has the video of this game. I sure that they don't mind taking a lose but to have to play 8 on 5 is not a real game.Please reply if you can.

This team is going too be alright. Right now we have some injuried player and they will be back to help out. But support the rest of these guy. Lots of us are looking for a great season. So let's get out there and Cheer for all the kids.
