It has been a while since this happened and not a single person from MTP has said differently. They have all said "he is a kid and makes mistakes" so sounds to me like I heard correctly.

Can't win? I guess winning runner-up in district is not winning. Last I checked they all live in zone, including the twins and Demario who live less then 4 minutes from the school when they aren't playing for MTSU or Vol State respectively. Don't talk to me about integrity when this kid is stealing and getting in fights. Honestly, he should have missed the district and region tournaments for his actions. I can promise if he played for "Brucey" he wouldn't have been anywhere close to the floor.

The kid's a freshman cullypride. I sure as heck wouldn't want that spotlight glare shining on what I did as a feshman! Cut him some slack! He may be a freshman but I know some 4 year olds that know better than to steal and get in fights. Stop defending this kid and help him get his stuff straight so all that talent doesn't go to waste.

I was told the fight happened Friday. Either way he needs to straighten up and act right. Being *accused of stealing (not saying he did, not saying he didn't) and getting into fights is no way to represent your school, especially in the spot light like he is.

Must not apply to MTP star athletes around region tournament time. I bet the other kid involved got 3 days... Sounds like the kid* needs to stop and screw his head on straight before its too late. Getting special treatment sure isn't gonna help matters any. Do you know anything about the situation--or are you just speculating? I know the kid has been in trouble not that long ago and nothing was done and I know he only got 2 days of suspension for fighting instead of the normal 3 so he could play tonight. Is there really anything else to know?

Rumor has it a starter on MTP got in a fight friday at school and was suspended. He wasn't even allowed to be near the gym during Saturday night's game, which sounds fair enough. Funny thing is he only got a 2 day suspension instead of the typical 3 so he can play tomorrow night. KINDA WEIRD. Lets see the MTP fans explain that one! Anyone know if this is the same kid that got in some hot water at the SHHS game?

Okay, being "T-ed up" doesn't mean you want to win anymore than any other team out there. It just shows you don't know when to quit. I can personally say I saw some of the conduct they displayed at PC during the regular season. When a call was made that the home crowd didn't like, one of the "star" players gave the "shhh" sign to the crowd. Now granted that isn't the worst thing, but it is taunting nevertheless..and that doesn't count as "playing hard". And also some of the "T"'s that refs call on some players are completely retarded.....a guy "T"'ed up Austin Rice the other night for putting his jersey in his mouth so he wouldnt say anything.....the ref thought he said something so he gave him a "T".....so not all "T"'s are that bad.... I can understand getting so upset that you put your jersey in your mouth when a foul is called on you but not EVERYTIME a foul is called on team mate. T Rice did it about 8 times in the 1st half alone the other night in Cully. Yeah sure have a little swaggar about yourself but when you are throwing up bricks and air balls like he was at the time, put your ego to the side. He might have had an off game but i wasnt the least bit impressed. PC will prolly have a field day with him.

Cully lost by 5. Were down by 22 at one point before halftime. Shot themselves in the foot early.

I wouldn't count 11A out just yet. These are some pretty decent teams left folks. Before last week, CA had only lost to Clarksville Academy(#1), MTP and a team from Jackson who isn't bad either. If Williams gets hot you better look out. Cully is finally coming around and is playing their best ball since Dec. Richland is very talented and can play with anybody if they are on. MTP, though over-rated, is still pretty good. After tonight there could be four 11A teams left just as easy as there could be four 12A left. Good luck 11A!

This is very very true. I look for some good basketball out of these matchups depending on which teams show up and which teams are ready for it to be over. Cullypride any truth to the rumors of your guys being at school for practice at 6:00 am? Wouldn't surprise me in the least bit if they did. It's not that uncommon for them to do that. I know they had the afternoon off yesterday so I imagine they did practice before school.

And just to set the record straight, the SF student section chanted her name when she got the 1000 points, after the game when they announced she got 1000 the 2nd time, **AND** when Nelms was named MVP. Or did I dream that too?

I wouldn't go that far. They only beat Summertown by 3 Tuesday night. I don't call that taking people to the wood shed. Any of the teams left could beat any other team on any given night or they wouldn't still be playing...

I'm not trying to bash anyone. She is a good player. That being said, she is not good enough for the SF student section to chant "Bobbi Dodson" when Nelms is named MVP. That is what I meant by over-rated. She played a good quarter in the championship game but the game was already out of reach. I wasn't even sure she was on the floor for most of the game. Congrats to her on the 1000 points I know that's easy said than done. Nelms is the better player though, its a shame she isn't playing college ball. First off it's Bobbi* and she IS as good as everybody knows she is. She may not be the dominant scorer, but is a well rounded player when it comes to assists, rebounds, and steals. Cornersville didn't dominate the game sarah nelms did lol 28 points and the closest scorer on the team had 12 then it was 4, 3, 2. SF should have had someone face gaurd her the whole game but that was their mistake. I'm just wondering, did you miss her 1,000 points>? Is she good? Yes. Is she as good as Nelms or as good as you think she is? No. She really didn't score much or do anything impressive until the game was pretty much over. I agree Cornersville didn't dominate the entire game, just the second half. Just because you get to 1,000 points doesn't automatically make you that good. Cully had 2 girls a few years back get 1,000 in the same year, neither was good enough to play college ball anywhere. She is very good don't get me wrong but in my opinion she is a bit over-rated.

I'll tell you "Why You'd Better Bother". Loser Has A Road Trip To Perry County. That team will be CA making the trip. I've heard it all year how CA is the best in district 11-A. Well let's see how well they can match up against the best in 12-A. I'd love for CA to go their and win.... I would love to see this also but I can't see it happening. CA looked like they were ready for it to be over last night. MTP set the tone early, too bad the refs started calling "over the back" in the 4th and not the 1st. Give Cully some credit though, they were down 18 when the 4th started and pulled it back to 9 with 3 and a half minutes left but ran out of gas. I think they can get a win at home Saturday night but after that....I don't know. Not strong enough inside to really contend.

CA by 5--- I believe CA will be fired up to show everyone that they are a better team than they showed the other night. Mt. pleasant by 5---- I just don't see Cully keeping up with Mt Pleasant's many athletes that can jump and Cully boxes out badly--------I believe that will be the key to the game is keeping Mt pleasant from getting multiple shots off by rebounding and then the seniors for cully have got to start getting hot from 3 point land faster--- earlier in the game!! Where do you get Cully can't keep up with MTP? Cully has been the better team both times they have met this year but have given the game away late. No matter what happens tonight, win lose or draw, MTP is the most over-rated team around. Go ahead and say they are ranked 6th in state or 2nd on here blah blah blah, but they are no where close to the same league as the Cully, Summertown or Moore Co. teams that were near the top in recent years. One more thing, Cully seems to be doing pretty good as of late for having an off year huh? Imagine if they were actually any good...

Who everybody got tomorrow night? Im taking Williams over Richland by 7 and Cully by 6. Cully is playing with alot of heart and will find a way to get it done.

Choked? Wow... I will say all the CA players didn't show up to play but I wouldn't say they choked either. Lacy made a tough shot at the end to give Cully the win. so he is basically implying CA is the better team, because to "choke" you have to be better... Better best player? Yes. Better team? No. Not right now at least.

im beginning to think your just a bandwagon fan. your a "lights out" poster when culleoka wins, they do pretty bad throughout the season, and you don't post at all. they win, and your talkin trash again...and culleoka won't win many games only able to put up 34 points. but, congrats to cully. i wasn't able to go to the game, but i hear CA made some pretty dumb mistakes. like throwing the ball out of bounds from a throw in toward the end of the game, and having the lead, and running down the court and trying to throw up a 3. And CA won't win many games only scoring 33 either Monk!!!! And guess what else? Culleoka gets a home game next weekend and they always play well at home especially with the 6th man. Yeah CA made had some turnovers late (some were result of good D) and they had a chance to put it away late BUTTTTT they didn't. Stop whining about "bandwagon" fan and making excuses. Just sit back and see how far Mathew Williams can carry his team. Because thats as far as they gonna make it.

Williams scores with 7 ticks left to put CA up by one then Lacey takes it coast to coast and hits a shot in the lane as the buzzer went off. Without Williams CA would be in a world of hurt and would prolly be out by now. HE can score from anywhere. I hate to say it but I told everyone on here not to sleep on Cully in the tournament now they playing in the championship. GO WARRIORS!
