GOOD POINT, MUFFIN. Everyone has their on beliefs; yet somehow, if it's not the same as others they are wrong, incompetent, or just don't have a clue. That's what makes Mr. T fun : that we all have the opportunity to express our views on players. teams or just issues that evolve in the wide world of sports. I've looked at the site many times but just became a member a few days ago. I thought becoming active on the site but then I didn't like the fact most people on here want really speak up and say what they really feel for fear of offending someone. Or the fact that some will post quotes that they don't even really believe. They want to believe what they are saying is true but they know somewhere inside that it's not. But then again, we all have our favorite team or maybe even player and our competitive spirits make us want to push them as much as we can. Is it politics? Yes, to a certain extent I guess it is. But it feels really good when you can get on here an know, without a doubt that what you are posting is TRUE (RIGHT) So here I go, Laken Leonard...........now you don't have to agree with me but I am right. Everyone who has seen her play knows there's something special here. Anyone lucky enough to have had a conversation with this girl or her parents know that she is trully dedicated to her basketball career and her life. Everyone knows she has more talent than most her age and a never quit attitude. Can she improve? sure she can. Does she work at improving? Absolutely. How's her character? Impressive What about her grades? More Impressive. How's her inside shooting, outside shooting, rebounding, assists....................EXCITING and so much fun to watch. For me it's not the points or rebounds or anything about her ability that makes her fun to watch, it's seeing someone really put their heart and mind into something they want in life. How many of us want to do that but don't dare to push because of the FEAR of failure. How refreshing!!!!!! If Laken Leonard keeps working and keeps improving her awesome talent, she want just rise to the top but she'll go over the top. The honor Ms. Basketball would be nice but the good thing here is that Laken will still be Laken and she'll still have the same great attitude with a basketball in her hand, because she's just a kid who loves to play the game; so that's what she does. She plays the game and she plays it very well.

Simply no she is not and the players around her don't stink. Comments like this is what messes up programs. Ferris needs a team supporting her not disliking her because of comments like this. Comments like this hurt the entire program Ferris included.

Macon's on a MISSION and we want go away as easy as some might think. Macon may upset some but we don't plan on being upset. Compton and Conley aren't ready to go home, Gregory's just ready to go off again from the 3pt. line and Clark and Wix are tougher than most would like to admit. You go girls paly hard and great job to the Macon County Bench keep cheering your team on, it make a difference. It's good to see the whole team coming together; STAY FIRED UP TIGERETTES. You have the ability so bring the desire and we can shock a few, which is always fun.

Why don't you come and watch laken play, then you'd see that no one is trying to make her look better than she is. What's the deal here, a young lady, with a gracious personality and athletic ability is being praised, how is that a bad thing? Unfortunately, you can't have your cake and eat it too. If you want your kid to go to a smaller school where she'll be able to play longer then move! It's America, you had the choice. Laken just happens to be in a small town, where both her parents played basketball for RBS and both were talented. She's blessed with ability but determined to do all she can do. What a great quality, I hope my child can be as determined and committed to God, school and sports as Laken Leonard has been up to this point in her career. Hey, she's got 1000 points with 1 and 1/2 seasons, most don't do that in 4 years. IT"S A BIG DEAL and Singing her praises should be tolerable for EVERYONE. Some just can't take it. Laken you go girl....YOU GO GIRL.

Ferris didn't get "snubbed" for the mvp award because she's a freshmen. Her team placed 4th so she didn't deserve mvp. Furthermore, laken leonard is a freshmen and she got MVP in her district proving that ferris being a freshmen has nothing to do with getting mvp or not. MVP's historically come from the 1st or maybe 2nd place teams but not the 4th place team. Nothing against ferris, I'm just saying she wasn't overlooked for being a freshmen or "snubbed".

I don't know about Alison getting defensive MVP!! I haven't watched her, but I agree with you about Kaci!!!!!! IN FACT SHE SHOULD DO BETTER THAN SHE IS

Laken's worked very hard to get to where she is now, just being mentioned for this award is an honor in itself. Good things are in store for Laken and many of her teammates. She is surrounded by some talent and heart with the lady dawgs and I'm sure she's aware of that. Although the award would be nice, a championship would be nicer.
