  1. Congrats to Stone Memorial for winning the District and the District Tournment ; JOB WELL DONE ...... Good Luck Monday Night /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
  2. We've been through this injury thing almost a million times...stones senior catcher was injured and didnt even get to begin the season, the freshman that replaced her has ankle problems, the senior center field/leadoff batter broke her leg three district games into the season, and there have been other minor injuries that affected players temporarily and some still today. every team suffers from things like that unfortunately. that shouldnt be a factor to how the teams play now. stop making excuses and just play the game.
  3. If i recall correctly, the post by LadyJacket818 said everyone always counts out kingston and this district better watch out. seems to me like your the one that needs to get their facts straight and grow up...i mean who is the one insulting our reading level?? youre real cool..and as far as self promotion is concerned as a player i know we're not getting on here and congratulating ourselves, i'm sorry our parents and fans are proud of what we've done. as squiggle said earlier in this thread our parents need to be more mature and let us play...this is what makes the game not fun.
  4. Just as it was in the womens basketball, when stone wins a game its just because theyre only a double a team right.....WRONG!! the girls have a wealth of talent and have showed it by pulling off some tough wins against some competitive, some TRIPLE A, teams. Let me just refresh your memory...the lady panthers have defeated Rhea Co, Mt. Juliet, Heritage, Cookeville, Allen Co, they gave Riverdale their first of their only 3 losses this season, also gave Cherokee their first loss, and defeated CCHS with a score o 16-1. All of these teams are Triple A teams i'm pretty sure. The girls also beat Baylor. So it would be nice to just give a Congrats instead of showing your jealousy by putting them down... GO LADY PANTHERS!!!!!!!
  5. i'm going to agree with everyone that posted after this ignorant comment you left...this has to be the dumbest thing i have ever read!! yes, according to our school books EVERY SINGLE GIRL THAT IS ON THAT TEAM LIVES IN THE STONE DISTRICT...if they didnt i'm pretty sure they would have to move to cchs, thats usualy how this zoning thing works, sorry thats to hard for you to understand. And which part was dissing SMHS, was it the the girls have talent and are well coached, that they were the better team in cumberland county this year, or oh yeah i guess it was the part about them winning huh...they couldnt help it that they had to move to stone, which i and everyone else on this website has said before but you obviously cant get that through your head. all i have to say is congratulations lady panthers, and i'm sorry people like this have to find some way to bring you down. you made us proud!!!!! PANTHER PRIDE!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Have you ever heard of ZONING???? The seniors were the only TWO that had a choice and obviously they're going to go with the better team, and seeing as how they are in ZONE for SMHS then why are you complaining about them having to attend the school they are supposed to go to...THEY ARE!!! ....and as far as being stacked goes, can the girls help it that they have talent and are well coached? The girls have competed in Triple A since they were freshman, with the exception of this year of course because they were ZONED for the new school, I don't think the SMHS athletics program will have a problem with it in future....besides, the only thing that divides SMHS and CCHS are I40 and WINNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. most of the girls on the team have played for either the cyclones or the dodgers out of rockwood their whole lives so yes there were probably a few on that team
  8. Stone did lose their senior catcher due to injury, however a few girls have been working hard and can step up to fill the position. this team has pulled together and will be one to look out for....you can call it cocky if you want, i would say its more confidence in the talent these girls have.
