I was told that all regions are sending representatives from their all region teams to participate in a state tournament in Murpfreesburo, is the true? If so, when did this start, and what is it about?

MC is very young. One senior that sees minimal playing time. Should be a good game, usually is.

Is this not the 3rd or 4th year in a row that LA and MC have met in the sub-state. It is a shame that these 2 teams have to meet this early and not at Murphy.

Traditionally they are tough. No, I feel that this region is just as tough. MC losses come to very tough teams. McMinn was a great team until they lost their leading scorers to injury. Cleveland, enough said. Tellico beat them at home, tough at home. Maryville, and Heritage. Seq. had a tough schedule as well. It is hard to say. I know our region can play with theirs. I just know that traditionally they are well coached, and can play.

Have you seen LA play? Why them over MC?

I stated earlier today that I felt that MC would be fresher in the 4th. Was this the difference? I did not get to go to the game. I knew it would be close, and could go either way. Upperman will be tough.

Why do you think this? If it is close in the 4th that is when MC is at their best. If LA is to beat MC they will have to jump on them early. They are deep, so they are fresh toward the end. This was the difference in the Region Champ. against Seq. This is always a fun matchup though. LA is a classy team with great tradition, so I enjoy going to watch this matchup every year.

I agree! MC has some pretty good 8th graders coming in next year, and a real good girl that is a 7th grader that is going to be unbelievable. What is #14 from Sequatichie, she plays so hard! Also who is the big girl and what class is she?

I want to give a plug for District 5-AA Kylie Lambert from McMinn Central, is a great sophmore. She is fun to watch. When her outside game comes along, and it is, she will be a total package. She needs to be smarter on defense. Hannah Powers from Tellico is an unbelievable ballhandler and exciting to watch. I think she is a prospect to watch.

I can tell you right now, you don't want to go to Upperman. I hope to see a good game Wed. This will be a huge game for both teams. LA is down a little this year.

No disrespect to Seq. at all. I was just stating that Tellico made some silly choices at the end of the game. It seemed like Tellico got tight and lossed their composure. I do however feel if Seq. plays that way against MC, it could be a long night. Seq. can definitly beat MC but they will need an A game. Do they go deeper than 1 or 2 bench players. MC goes about 4 or 5 deep from the bench. Seq. seemed to be wore out last night, even though they showed a lot of heart. MC will be more fresh at the end of the game. Tellico had only 5 girls, go to the bench, nothing.

What does that mean? I am simply wondering how the other region is. I watched Seq. play Tellico last night, and I thought that Tellico beat themselves. I did however feel that Seq. did a good job of keeping their composure to come back and win.

I feel like that Tellico gave the game last night to Sequatichie. Not taking anything from them, but I just felt Tellico beat themselves. I am not sure of the game times. If MC plays their game it will be hard for Seq. to beat them. I thought MC did not play a good game last night. It does not seem that Seq. has much depth, and this could proove to be the difference, as MC can go deep into their bench. Seq. did a good job of keeping composure last night, and they play hard. It is going to be an interesting game.
