  1. It was definitely a great game. Both teams should be proud!! It went down to the wire thats for sure. I have to disagree with you on the MVP. I watched all three games also. I do think Davis deserved the award. I think Upperman played a better team, Livingston, in the first game than York. I do think that Brown is a good player and is only a sophomore. Davis was the most dominant player I saw play during the tournament and she is only a junior. Looks like there will be plenty to watch in the future. When the awards were given out last night I did notice some things. York didn't act like they even wanted their trophy. I noticed Upperman fans standing and applauding the young ladies from York. When Upperman received their team award most the York fans never applauded at all. They need to remember these are all still kids and people from other areas notice these things also. Good Luck to both teams on Saturday.
  2. Upperman wins so I guess its a date, see you saturday!
  3. Final Score Upperman 40 York 38 MVP Lashay Davis All Tournament Jennifer Maynard Kayla Biles Karissa Dyer Kendra Kilgore Sorry for not including others these were called in to me.
  4. Buster, I guess you did not understand my post. First all 3 are excellent players but most of us have not not seen all 3 play. We then come to these boards to give a reason why we believe in a girl and to see what we can find out about the others. Then someone post "if she decides to play" thats not a good comment. But not nearly as bad as Gray does more for her team than Poston. Before hitting the reply button read your post you are killing this girl.
  5. The no calls were on both sides and were not Dyer's fault. You could have body slammed someone that game and gotten a no call. Officials consistantly just turned their heads. If this had been any other school than Upperman vs LA it could have gotten ugly. Be thankful these teams have class and not bad attitudes
  6. If she has to DECIDE to play, thats very bad and not a real deal.
  7. Now Gator don't hold out on us. We have to plan ahead around here. I know Lashay has had a college visit or so. Just wondering if its any one new I don't know about. If you saw her letters at home she has received so far, unbelieveable! Spill it you know no one on here will repeat it! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  8. That is no suprise. I'm sure there will be plenty more with her still just a junior. Do you know who the two schools are so far.
  9. You must have been watching different games from me. I have watched Davis play from start on and have never seen her be a selfish player. Her assists last year were just as high as this year. The way I see it is the person who can score needs to be shooting the ball not always passing it off so she want look like a selfish player. Upperman had a good team last year but also have a good team this year. They definitely do not have any selfish players that I see. They all get along too well this year on and off the floor for that and they like to win as a team. If you read any interviews Davis always thanks her team and that is why she is doing so well. That is definitely not a selfish player!! Good Luck Lashay Davis and all the Lady BEES!!!
  10. I am sure all the girls are deserving of this award. My vote goes to Laken She may be younger but she definitely has the ability and deserves it as well.
  11. My vote goes to LASHAY DAVIS!! Good luck and lets take care of the business at hand!! Go Bees!!!
  12. Good Luck Lashay Davis from Upperman!! Great player, great attitude, great kid and a huge future ahead. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  13. Hey you guys have always had good teams at central and sequatchie, but anytime you want to come down and play single a jackson co or clarkrange we will be glad to take a break. 7aa plays them because if we want a tremendous challenge thats who you play.
  14. It was not in the local paper in Cookeville today. I know Lashay did get MVP. I know Jennifer Maynard got on the second team, Dyer on first team and Roberts on third team from Upperman. I did hear that Sells was Freshman of the year.
  15. Great job!! It was a last minute thing but I am sure everything will be appreciated. It just shows that our teams may play hard on the court but when they step off the floor we can all support and help one another. That is what makes the area so special. Lots of great people!!
  16. Can't wait for the game tonight either. This is definitely a time to pull together. Never know next time it could be one of us. Everybody needs to give and have a fun time at the game. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  17. This is so great! Is there any way if we collect money tonight that this could go directly to the girl and boy ballplayers who lost their homes. Since this will be collected from players and their familes I think this would be very fitting.
  18. I dont't know? If someone talked to Dana they might like at half time or between games take up a collection to send over? It would be a good time because there will be a good crowd with Upperman and Livingston playing.
  19. I am really glad to know that they are ok. If there is anything I can do please just post and let me know. If they need clothes, shoes etc please post and I am sure I can help. Prayers from Upperman players and families.
  20. Thanks let us know if there is anything going on thru the middle school or in that area. Love to help
  21. Everyone from Macon County and all the surrounding areas are in our prayers. Upperman played ball in Macon County that night. I did not attend for some reason. I set at home and watched the weather on the tv. I texted my family who did attend throughout the night checking on them. I knew it was heading that way. They all did make it home safe. When I saw the destruction the tornado had caused in Macon I was devastated. I can only imagine what they are all going thru. Does anyone know if any of the players were injured or if there is anything we could do to help them at this point. I would love to help if possible in anyway. The company my husband works for is taking bread to the shelters in Sumner and Macons counties but would love to do something if it is needed myself.
  22. AA- Still say Lashay Davis at Upperman. Had another great game last night in Macon County. Scored 27 of the 59 points. Good shooter, good defense player just a great all around player. I have noticed a couple of posts from Kreager at the Nashville Tennessean about her lately saying Lashay Davis is the real thing. She can go to the hoop as well as shoot the 3-pointer. Seeing her play makes you love the game. You can tell it is something that just comes natural for her and that she enjoys the game.
  23. Class AA - Lashay Davis, Upperman. Scoring average of 19.1 so far this year. She scored 31 points in a big win over Livingston Academy at Livingston. Strong in all playing areas, 3 pointers, driving inside, jump shots and defense. Very committed player to the game of basketball since she was 4 years old. All around great player!!
  24. Sorry you missed it was a good game even if it was so physical!! The lady bees had a very good game as a team. That is what I saw on the scoring also. Chezney is a great player and is an asset to the team. I have got to meet her thru my pre-k granddaugher(Mackenzy) where she helped in her class earlier in the year and I just love her and so does Mackenzy. Great player and personality.I agree the girls on the team do support each other which makes for a good team. Who would have thought 41 points? Great job lady bees!! Go Bees!! Go#14Davis!!
