well...i guess i picked the wrong person to criticize. im sure marvin is a great guy off the field, dont get me wrong...and i still think he's a good player. however, in my opinion (SOLEY SOCCER!!!) i think he can play dirty at times, and that is my opinion and im entitled to it. i will concede though and say again that i think he is a very talented player and obviously does great things outside of soccer. please no one else respond about this issue...it's done.

i by no means think SD dominated the jamboree(JV is longdonsilver)...i do think it was fairly even though. but i most certainly do think marvin is dirty player. you can call it what you want...aggressive, whatever. but i've played against him several times and know many people who played club w/him and they all agree. who's your all's baller that always scores goals?? and did he play against us in jamboree? i dont remember him.

from south doyle here...and i agree along w/most of team. longdonsilver is stupid JV player. his views don't match up w/majority of doyle's. yeah...everybody knows that. no need to repeat yourself.

i dont in any way see the bearden game being scoreless. they're too good at finishing

preseason doesn't matter...and i'm almost sure the only time you have seen webb play an actual game was when doyle scrimmaged them in 20 min. jamboree. also, you have only seen bearden play when they beat doyle. webb was missing cia merril during jamboree too...not sure it mattered. i do think bearden will take the win though...by 2 goals

man bearden has a great home schedule this year...farragut, maryville, SD, webb, i'm sure there are others i'm forgetting. it is also more beneficial to bearden to have home games because the size/width of their field plays so well into the style and gameplan.

i just totally disagree...that's all, and he was obviously referring to my post on the bearden game...so i thought i would respond

shut it.....stupid thread. there are factors, and you can't just totally dismiss them. otherwise this whole site would be another prepextra, only reporting the final score and that's that.

in our defense...this game truly wasn't a 6-0 game. bearden prob scored 3 goals in the last 5-10 min when doyle hadn't given up....but was DEFINITELY down. it was closer than the score shows. we did have our fair share of opportunities.

mjhubb...go ahead and keep us off your rankings. we got hammered. i am very sorry i proved you right...i think our weak schedule was absolutely the cause of us not being ready to face a talented team like bearden

6-0 final. absolutely rediculous. im not even gonna try and say that we would have won if we had our 2 starters...but i do know we wouldn't have gotten beat 6-0. our back came out flat and it showed terribly. bearden truly is an excellent finishing team. first half was fairly even, but like always, bearden made best of their opportunities, scoring twice w/honestly only 2 or 3 legitimate opportunities. SD only had a couple of chances first half w/shot off post and maybe one other chance. SD came out fairly strong first 10 min of 2nd half, getting several opportunities that just couldnt go through. and everytime SD failed to finish, bearden would put another through...slowly wearing on SD's confidence until the last 10 min. of game, where it got absolutely rediculous and embarassing. not sure if it was fatigue, or lack of confidence after going down early on. bearden was DEF. the better team tonight and SD only had a few players that actually worked and wanted to win it seems. yeah if a couple of shots went SD's way early on, they would have gotten some momentum and maybe gotten a dif outcome, but i dont think it would have mattered much. bearden was going to win tonight...and they did big. congrats to bearden for the win, hopefully we'll give you a better game if we meet again.

ned...don't be bitter because we beat you. the sole purpose of this thread was im sure to start conversation on tonight's game and inform people that yes...we are indeed down 2 starters and yes...it will make things harder b/c of lack of depth that a more soccer oriented school such as bearden or farragut could recover from. no one is making excuses, and we all know that we can most definitely win the game. again, no one is dwelling on the loss and we are not making any excuses. chill out

They have to play WB.....it's a district game. unless WB decides to forfeit, they can't do anything but show up and play.
