  1. even with the loss of elrod, lipscomb will be loaded in the backfield. they have seemed to produce good running backs every year. not to mention zach rogers who will also get to run some as well as recieve some balls
  2. oh yea. Zach Rogers has all the athletic ability to def go somewhere. He ran in the 4.3's forty as a sophomore. Lipscomb needs to make sure they get the ball in his hands early and often
  3. you have to watch out for those "underdogs." like in 2005, lipscomb was given no respect going into the tourney and ended up outscoring their opponents 42-3 throughout the tourney. who knows if a team will get hot like that again, but if a team is good enough to make it to state, then they have a legite chance of winning it all
  4. i hope Giles Co. would win cause Ezell is aweful this year since they lost like their 10 best players from last year's team. I don't know how they got to reigon. But that is not takin anything away from Giles cause you still had to go out and do your thing this year. congrats and now go beat Marshall Co.

    Field size

it shouldn't matter the size of the field. both teams do have to play the game on the field. a team with short fences migh thave better power numbers but in the end the only thing that matters in the wins. away teams can go in and hit bombs too. it is equal for both teams on the fields. plus, the fields being different gives it more character. if fields were all the same it would be boring. i know when i played high school, i liked that the fields were different. it would get boring playing on fields with the same distances.
  6. last year at David Lipscomb, they had a player that played 6 positions. everyone but ss, 2b, and c
  7. i was a sr pitcher last year and i know the feeling of not wanting to come off the mound knowing that i might never walk back on the mound ever again. but you have to be logical. it is a sport that i loved, but it is a sport. i have the rest of my life ahead of me, and there is no need to risk an injury that i will have to deal with for the rest of my life. every pitcher knows their own arm better than anyone else, but you have to be smart. no kid is ever going to ask to come out. by the time you reach about 90 or so pitches, your arm is kind of numb. you won't feel the pain or consequences of that many pitches til the next day. there is a fine line of pushing yourself to get the most out of you or going overboard of risking injury. the coach needs to take care of his players.
  8. i think y'all don't need to forget Ernie Smith from David Lipscomb. he has well over 600 hundred wins, with many district and region titles. Plus he has amassed 6 state titles. Impressive
