Well it could be, Gibson County and Greenfield Rematch. Yes sir. I love it. I really can’t believe Shawn Stephenson did what he did last week, it back fired. Disappointed in him as a coach.

Number 2 in our region is where you want to be then you don’t have to worry So much about the draw. You are opposite of Greenfield at State. I’d love to see a Greenfield Gibson County matchup in finals.

If union city plays like they did against Greenfield they are hard to beat, best half played against Greenfield all year. You got to go with Gibson County at home to make the finals but don’t overlook Gleason, I’m calling a close game. They will slow it down and I’m saying GC wins by 4.

Nobody from Greenfield has said anything about Not wanting to play Loretto. I hope we draw them first game at Murfresboro. You got to beat everybody to win the Gold Ball. Personally I can’t wait for a rematch, it will be a barn burner.

Just so you understand His comment. Loretto is three times the enrollment of Greenfield and the largest Class A school in the state.

I agree but Greenfield and Loretto girls both are better than any team in AA girls this year in the state.

Greenfield played their worst game of the year with Loretto that night at Westview and still won by 6. (Bad shooting night and missed several layups) i understand Loretto could have caused some of that. Greenfield can’t just stand outside and just shoot 3’s or we can get beat. If 3’s aren’t falling we have to go inside with Chloe and Tess. Loretto is a good rebounding team and will control the game on a bad shooting night. If we play ball it doesn’t matter.

Had a granddaughters birthday in Memphis so wasn’t able to attend game or hear much of it. From what I got to hear Union City played a great game. Our press hurt them bad the first two games but they must have broke it this game. Union City can go a long way if they play like last night. Thank you pioneer42 for giving me updates.

Greenfield 69 Union City 53 - Final 29-0 District Champs - Great job girls Tough game! But we needed that. Listened on radio and they thought the game got really physical. Sounded like the UC fans got crazy again. Union City needs to get their students under control but that’s hard when your boys coach acts like he does.

Loretto 30-26 halftime

Our girls are focused and taking one game at a time. Everybody knows one bad night and the dream is over. Last year we had our bad night against Loretto and got sent home or we might be playing for 3 Gold Balls in a row this year. This is a team on a mission. I was really pulling for Gibson County once we lost, it shows that our region is loaded with talent. There are 5 other teams in our region this year, Gibson County, Gleason, Dresden, Union City and Bradford that could win any district in the state other than 6A or 12A. Good luck to all teams, hope there are no injuries.

No comment. You just don’t understand what this team means to our little town. We have less than 40 kids in our senior class and this don’t happen often. We play the Union City’s, Dyersburg’s, Jonesboro’s 6A, Loretto’s 540 kids and never complain. Line em up and let’s go these girls are focused and are great kids. Don’t be one of those negative Nancy’s that say the refs give Greenfield all the breaks. Appreciate this group of girls that have put so much into what they are doing, teams like this don’t come around often.

That would be funny if that happens. Then Union city & Gleason in the consolation game. That will be a crazy game. 4-2 final score, both teams freeze the ball and try to lose. But I’ll go with Union City to win tonight.
