Greenfield's defense came up with big plays again and pitched their third straight shutout this season. Greenfield moves to 3-1 and 1-0 in the region.

Greenfield's defense was the difference in the game and the second shutout of the season for the Jackets. The defense gave Greenfield good field position several times throughout the game with several big plays. Greenfield (2-1) plays Halls next week in a big region game.

We met Ryan and his family at the Blue Gray Classic. He's a good guy and good baseball player, I didnt know he was a catcher. My son and Ryan got the be good friends while we were in Jacksonville.

Congratulations to the Northwest Tennessee 17-18 year old baseball team who finished as runnerup in the State Tournament at Lewisburg, Tennessee. Players for the Northwest 17-18 team are Zack Parham, Micheal Crockett, Micheal Tibbs of South Fulton, Andrew Clements and Tyler Porter of Greenfield, Adam Pate and Joseph Hardin of Gibson County, Ben Cope and Jason Hale of Obion Central, Ben Reese and Stan Chivers of Union City. Coaches for the team are Richard Parham of South Fulton and Bradley Pate of Rutherford.
