I am not calling you out or anything cause I know you are probably upset enough...but as far as handing us the 1st TD...we could say we handed the Rockets their 2nd TD very easily. Not usual that a guy catches a 6 yard pass and is already behind the secondary to run to the endzone. I'm pretty sure his man coverage guy bumped into the safety trying to both tackle him and they both missed him. Both teams made mistakes last night. It was an exciting game, I just think home field advantage was a key factor.

Now you wishing us luck I see...LOL. Last nights game was all you could ask for as a football fan. I'm sure as a Rocket fan there were some wishes left unfulfilled but from the orange side it was one crazy night. Well, I have to be the 1st one to admit I don't know....well anything about Wayne Co. So it'd be awfully hard to pick a winner. I'm just opening the discussion. MTCS looked tough tonight against Forrest, I just don't know when their low depth will catch up with them. Maybe emotions can take you farther than I originally thought. Not sure how MTCS will stack up. I would once again say since they are a team small in numbers that they will automatically be underdogs...however until someone figures out how to slow them down mentally they will be tough. The coaches have them thinking they will beat anyone they play. I know JB and Cascade will be impressive...but JB's offense is going to have to get hot. McEwen should hold their own with the running game as well. That is my opinion on Region 5...don't know alot about 6.

LOL I couldn't hear anything you were saying. Now for the game: I will begin by saying good job Rockets for giving us a scare. It was one heck of a game to watch. Couldn't have asked for more. Secondly, props to Coach Shad and the Cougar football boys. Great game plan and found a way to put a damper on the Rocket offense. Seems like other than one drive about midway thru the 3rd quarter the Rockets couldn't get anything rolling. Not taking anything away from them, but the 63 yard passing TD was due to defensive mistake and busted coverage. Dillon was a horse tonight...and as usual Scott through the ball well. The OL came through in the 4th quarter for us when we needed some big pushes to score and clinch it with a 1st down etc. In summary, GREAT JOB Cougars!!! I'm up now!! LOL Gameday!! I'll clear one thing up right now...Cascade game was lost even if we didn't have refs. They beat us, they are good, give them credit. I agree that refs make some bad calls here and there, but it really gets frustrating that I have been a part of this school for 10 years now and its always the "you must have paid the refs well tonight" type of sayings that get to me. We are just like any other school. We can not recruit (regardless of many peoples thoughts), we pay the refs the TSSAA regulated amount for each Friday night game...etc. I could go on but I won't. I just wish people would realize that we are a non-profit private school organization. We use tuition, fund-raisers, etc simply to pay for our budget. This is teacher's salaries, utility bills, equipment, etc...NOT to pay Refs so we win games or recruit in top notch talent. If this were the case wouldn't we have won a state title or even made it to state somewhere in the past??? Speaking for baseball at least...we haven't even been able to get out of Regionals last 2 years. Just my $.02. I'm sure someone will take this wrong. Just speaking my mind. The blame it on the refs card is a popular one. Seems like every losing team always seems to blame something rather than not executing or not simply putting more points on the board. Referee's are human...they get paid for their judgement. What you see may not be what they see. They are on the field, fans are in the bleachers. They have a 20 ft. vantage point, fans have sometimes 30-40 yards vantage point. Cut them some slack and allow them to do their job and quit blaming them for messing up the outcome of the game. If you lose...you probably deserve to. MTCS deserved to get beat by JB...cause we couldn't score in the red zone. MTCS deserved to get beat by Cascade...cause we couldn't stop their offense in the 4th quarter. MTCS deserved to lose to McEwen...cause we didn't stop the running game. At no point in there did I blame the refs. But, every team we have beat has pulled out the blame it on the refs card. I also do not mean every fan as a whole. Those of you who do it know who you are. I think our defense will be the Key in this game. Started the season off great. Holding JB to 16 and keeping level with Cascade for 3 quarters. Shutting down NCS thru first half. But, lately we have slipped. Giving up 27 to Community, couldn't slow down the very easy to predict running game of WHH...with all that being said, defense is the key to us going to the playoffs. If we can control the line on both sides of the ball and find some way to make Forrest one dimensional, we win. If we can shut down their running game and force them to throw or shut down the pass and force them to run, we greatly increase our chances of victory. I know that was alot of babble....so here is the short version...Let's go defense!!

Well when they wear one jersey on one day and the next wear another...it is quite apparent that there are 2 jerseys available. The same parking lot that is used for the baseball games is used for football....this is the Kingwood Church's parking lot by the end of the coldesac. The parking lot and the coldesac are both paved and they lead straight up to the field house/concession area which connects to all the paved sidewalks. I never go to the visitor side, so honestly I am not sure if there is a paved sidewalk over there or not. Our visitor side stands need some attention in the coming years...we are aware of this.
