how's everyone's teams looked so far this year?

We lose 6 seniors. The football program has been around for 4 years, and the administration showed its committment by hiring Coach Shadowens, but who knows whether that will change...

Yes, that's why Coach Shad and his family started attending a C of C 3 weeks before he was hired at MTCS.

Well I can imagine anyone who loses in the first round of the playoffs would be disappointed, but how much can you expect from a team that was 2-7 a year ago with essentially the same players? I mean, obviously they set their goals high, but they've got to be realistic...

Without a doubt he gave us everything he had, and has done wonders for our program. I think the thing that some people might be upset about is that when you lead a 2-7 team to the playoffs after one year of coaching, people don't expect that coach to walk out. They just assume that since he was successful after only 1 year, he would stay and coach and the team's success would just keep growing. But not knowing the exact situation, I think there has to be something more involved than just the football aspect of his move.

I wouldn't call moving to MTCS "chasing talent." Nor would I call going to Blackman "chasing talent."

No matter what you think, everyone knows that everything else is overlooked over football. Literally everyone. In fact, teachers even make comments about it on a regular basis. So it's not a matter of whether everything else is overlooked or not...because everything else IS overlooked. It's just a fact. Everyone knows it. But football has been the favorite for a few years now, not just with Coach Shadowens coming in. You're correct that cross country and soccer have been successful this season, but there hasn't been near the amount of emphasis on these sports as there has on football. You can't argue with that because it's just the way it is. This IS the first time football has done anything successful, and I am just as proud of them and happy for them as anyone. But this is also the first time soccer has done anything successful. And our cross country team just went to State for the 3rd year in a row. But those sports didn't get near the recognition that football will. I believe you are wrong about the part where "When baseball does anything successful everyone focuses on them" because that just isn't true. Football just got 4th in their region, while baseball the past to years has placed 2nd (under 2 very solid Cascade teams /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> ) and but I imagine if you go around school and ask them anything about baseball, they couldn't tell you. But what got me the most is the question of whether Cougarball is a fan or not. That just shouldn't happen. For starters your coacht name is "bulldogsalltheway". Second of all, you might want to do your research on the history he has with the school and the kind of contributions he makes year in year out. He does a lot more for the school than sit on coacht questioning peoples fanhood. His 10 years with the school carry a lot more meaning than your 1.
