I hope your son never plays college sports, because I can tell you now they will talk to you how they want to and if you dont like it.. Hit the road. And yes I mean cuss at you right in your face. Ask me how I know. Truth be known, your kid that doesnt hear that stuff at home is cussing like a sailor around his friends. Come into reality, these kids are 16-18 years old. Where have you seen Goodin take credit for winning? Central does not have the talent to compete with anyone, I graduated from Central and it is embarassing to see them do so bad. Until Central gets some talent, they will struggle big time no matter who the coach is.

But I can say this for him, you can put Urban Meyers, Pete Carroll, Nick Saban any of these coaches out there and they wouldnt even have a .500 ball team. They would be considered "successful" with winning 2 games!

Congrats to Polk on getting their first W of the season. But was we watching the same Central team, you say is so close?? Polk could have won 70-0 last night. I see another 0-10 season coming for Central.

Just over look Sean, he quit but is still on here talking out of this world. Central will not go to Polk and win by 2 touchdowns. If they can keep it within 14 I think that would be great for Central to build on. Still going with Polk by 21

I think Central has improved from last year, but I just think Notre Dame is a little better right now. If Central can cause 3+ turnovers and cash in on them, I think they can win this game. But Notre Dame suprised me last weekn putting up big numbers on the offense side of the ball, they didnt show much defense though. Im going 28-14 ND

You are right, we might not have won a State Championship BUT we did win a region championship. My junior year went 9-2 and won a the region, my senior year went 9-2 and finished 2nd. When was the last time Central did that??? Derrick was a good coach just look at what he did in short time. Haters gone hate

Im not making gestures toward DeAndre. I was making gestures toward the Sequoyah fans that got on here and showed their baseball knowledge. You'd have to see the meanest fastball thread.. To say a kid is just thinking about skipping college and getting drafted shows how much they know. D-no, Phil, Delmonico all of them I can see that, but not DeAndre. He is a very good talented young man with great potential. But they talk him up to being an early round draft pick that isnt even thinking about college, then he didnt even want to pitch because he hates it, now he made a wise decision to go Juco. Ive said it and will say it again he can play at the next level with great success if he keeps working hard!! I wish him luck, but just making a point you dont just get drafted and skip college like its a normal thing.

I actually think DeAndre is one of the better pitchers in East Tennessee. Im not trying to hate or bash the kid. He is good! He just doesnt throw 92-94 its simple as that. Go watch D-no from Science Hill or Phil at Farragut and then you can see what 92-94 looks like. DeAndre is good no doubt about it but he doesnt throw as hard as Phil or D-no.. Notice Phil is a Vandy signee and Norris is a top 20 pick in the draft. I think DeAndre would have done signed him a big time D1 scholarship or be getting ready for a early round draft pick if that was the case. When next season rolls around im guessing he will be at Cleveland state playing JUCO ball. (He could go bigger) I asked the Chatt State coach at the Polk/Central game if they had heard anything on the DeAndre kid at Sequoyah and he said he hasnt heard anything. I told him he should look into him he might be a good pick up. Whatever DeAndre does next year I wish him luck, and hope he does great. But I still say he can not touch 92-94 on his best day. Its not that easy to throw that hard on a good gun.

You must not come to the Central/Polk game then huh? Belmont, Kentucky, Tennessee, MTSU, Walters State, Chatt State all have been at Central or Polk games to watch Moses, and Allen, the one from Polk. Jared Allen chose UT Moses chose Belmont. I know for a fact he went on visits to belmont, and MTSU and had many calls and text messages from Chatt, Walters, and Columbia State JUCO programs telling him if things dont work out they would love have him come play for them. Chatt State coach was just at Central when thet played in the district tournament. Since DeAndre is going to get drafted (LOL) he shouldnt worry about picking a school just go straight to the big leagues and cram that 94 mph fast ball up everyones butt. Sequoyah fans.......

You are a moron. He throws no where near 92-94. Them "scouts" need to get there guns checked. He is a good pitcher, im suprised not many schools have showed much interest in him. He is around 86-88 from the right side with a nice curve ball and a decent change up. He does locate very well. Ive seen Chatt States coaches stalker on a few hard thowing kids and havent seen it bump 90 but once. Jared @ Polk Co was 88-89 and Moses @ Central was 88-89 throwing against each other the same day. Deandre doesnt thrown anywhere close to 92-94. 86-88 on his best day.

Im a Central fan and im right here. I can tell Sequoyah baseball program has never had any kind of success until this year. Normally, ya'll would be sitting at the house watching Central/Meigs and Polk play. For the past 10 years or however long Sequoyah has been in the District. I have said Congrats to Sequoyah many times. But it is people like you who have never had any kind of success that dont know how to handle just a little success that I dont care for. Winning district is not that big of a deal. Region Championship/ sub state is where it starts to get really exciting as you earn home field advantage for sub state or travel on the road. Then you get your shot at state. I hope both teams play again Wednesday Polk wins, and Sequoyah gets smashed in Sub State. Atleast thats what I hope. Maybe you guys wont be a one hit wonder and can continue with more successful seasons

Moses shut down Meigs tonight, throws a 1 hitter and K'd 15. Best he has been all year with him finally getting the command of his change up, curveball, and slider makes his fastball hard to hit. He throws like that in the District tournament he will be hard to beat. Good team win for Central without Cowart still out with injury. Glad some younger players are stepping up for Central and starting to get on a role right before the tournament starts. Remember its not how you start its how you finish!!
