I think you are referring to Whitney Sears. She did play for Pickett in 6th and 7th grade, but she moved right before her 8th grade season would have started. Whitney is extremely talented, and I'm sure she's doing very well where she is now.

bbreftn, what right exactly do you have to get on here and put down girls that actually do have talent like that? You must not have watched too many Pickett County games very closely. 10 and 6 isn't that bad of a record. No talent?? They have competed with many talented teams this year and managed to pull away with more wins than most thought they would when the season started. They beat a very talented Monroe Co, KY team along with a good team from Santa Fe. Still no talent? You may want to rethink your post. [Edited by fan45 on 1-16-03 6:46P]

It seems to me that the only people still talking about the 3.5 from last year are from Celina. I only recall seeing maybe 1 or 2 posts about it from someone from Pickett County. Who are you guys fussing at? Celina fans are the only ones still griping.

If you love the sport, you shouldn't care how many days a year it is. If you truly want to play basketball, you'd play all the time if you had to. Of course you want days off and time away from the court to spend with friends and family, but for those who love the sport, they want to play every oppurtunity they can.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. You can do it.
