  1. When does Unaka go out for spring?
  2. OK HAMPTON, apparently YOU must have a reading problem.( REMEMBER YOU ARE THE ONE THAT WANTS TO KEEP HITING YOUR SCHOOLS ALREADY BLACKENED EYE) OK here we go .........again, we(the readers) all know the problems/troubles the community and school are going through, although they have been brought upon yourselve. The "STUDY HALL" becomes a problem when you"STRONGLY ENCOURAGE" your "not up to par" students to transfer(REMEMBER HAMPTON "YOU" KEEP BRINGING THIS UP) to other schools in the County to take the Gate Way. Does every student take the Gate Way? yes, Do they take it at the school they start at? Would probably be the "RIGHT" thing to do. Is having "STUDY HALL/WEIGHT LIFTING/ALGEBRA"on your"master schedule" the "RIGHT" thing, I dought it. Do you really want to know why this is done? ONE MORE TIME, if the("study hall") students are not ready to take the Gate Way(between 9th and 10th grade) then the class conveniently becomes "study hall" or we'll try again next year class/weight lifting. If the students are ready for testing.......well you know the rest if not it's transfer time. I hope this is clearing things up for you. Your so called "rumor" appears to be taking on truth. Don't be supprised if the"higher ups" check into this.(may be happening as we type)
  3. Where is crazyness at on this one, krich, starnman, what's the scoop.
  4. I have to admit that I like your name, paradox, thats clever. But the situation at Hampton is hardly a paradox. It's hardly a Blue Ribbon school. More like a red flag school. But this year you may still get a white ribbon for participation.
  5. Unaka only lost 2 starters on defense if I'm not mistaken. a few more on offense though. they should be alrite.
  6. Truthfully speaking, you haven't played against them either, your not on the field. I will say that I'm sure he is a good player though. I doubt that grooms and estep would cringe at the thought of trying to bring him down though. Both young men are good competitors and would probably love to play against him.
  7. It makes no sense for Unaka to go up to a weightlifting competition at Hampton. They do compete, with themselves, everyday, getting better. There is PRIDE, thats why they are in the weightroom. I hope Hampton showed up, they hosted it. From what I hear, Unaka was not the only school to knot show up. Keep deadlifting, like that lift will help you on the feild.
  8. Wagging the dog. Pujo, your better than this, please!
  9. Sounds like a Hampton gal to me.
  10. No junior, the people in Hampton wish this was why they were making the news.
  11. OK, one more time. "STUDY HALL" at Hampton, A class where "algebra/weight lifting/" is taught. Now if the students are not up to par, then they don"t take the "GATE WAY" test. Now remember YOU wanted to bring this up. THIS WANT GO AWAY no matter how much you want it to. CHEATERS NEVER PROSPER. I think everyone is getting the picture on "PREFORMING ACADEMICALLY". Do I really need to explain the "SITUATION" at Hampton again, I can if you like. Alliance34 if you want to do something for the "alliance" community, give Storm55/King a hug, he needs it.
  12. NOW, NOW, Storm55/King you have already jumped ship with the Cloudland disaster, or the divided coaching staff made you walk the plank, what ever the case, you better jump on board where ever they will have you. I wouldn't count on Hampton having you as much as your counting on being around Hampton. The coaches at Hampton WON'T let you hang around, try them out, see if I'm right, This will test your fictional "alliance". You will probably will want to "kiss" and make up with the divided coaching staff at Cloudland when all is said and done. Do you really think the coaches have kept quite the"inconvenient INTERRUPTIONS", it's been the talk at every mom and pop shop as well as every Wal-Mart/K-Mart in East Tn. Good luck, your going to need it.
  13. OBVIOUSLY this guy "MUST" be from out of the area, or better yet the area code if he is not aware of whats going on at Hampton!
  14. I am not getting into the numbers game. It just takes 11 to play the game. I'm talking about the a coaches commitment to saying there is a rule that is to be followed, and then not enforcing it. If there is a supposed rule stating that players must lift, and there is 20 in the weightroom, how is there going to be 40 on the sideline? I never claimed to be the most intelligent person in the world, but those numbers do not add up. Maybe I need to get into the algebra/study hall and learn a little more about math. I won't have to take a gateway at the end anyway.
  15. Didn't want it to sound that way. I was talking more along the lines of every school. My point was that some have already crawfished on their word. I know Cloudland has, just ask KING/STORM55, he will tell you. As for Hampton, 20 out for spring, and don't give me baseball I know that number, are they (JC) going to let the other "players" come back out? It has always been done this way and allways will. Now pujo you were the one that stated Hampton had a new rule, I just simply asked if it was going to be inforced. If your not going to stick to it DON"T SAY IT, it looks bad on your part. Its one of the quickest ways that coaches lose creditbility with their players; i.e. cloudlands young coaching staff.. You know if were not buying this, region 3 and 4 is definitely not buying it.
  16. Its good that each one of these coaches tried to do this, its just said that they could not stick to their guns. In fact rumor has it that both coaches have already caved and are not holding them to the standard that they have in place. I will tell you something though. There is one staff that is making them lift in the offseason, right down here on the creek.I wont even get into how many they have had lifting because some fool will just get on here and say it is not true. Just curious as to how big of a push over you become with those kids when you tell them something then don't hold them to it.
  17. I'm assuming you are talking from a football stand point. Academically(STUDY HALL) and morally(WELL YOU KNOW) I just don't see it. I know my kid would not be put into this situation. Not trying to get into the "good parent", "bad parent" issue, I just don't see how it could be a healthy environment right now. This is just my opinion of course, but pujo you were the one that brought up it being your responsibility to provide the best opportunity for your kids. Does this not include academics as well as morals?
  18. Great post whirlwind! I see this one being very hard to cover up.
  19. Whirlwind thanks, but credit must go where credit is due, (Hampton). If there was nothing to speak of, then there would be nothing to read.
  20. Starmam and Blaze, I think thats a GREAT idea!! Please fill us in!!
  21. With every thing thats going on at Hampton , your talking about setting examples, give me and the rest of the readers a break! AT LEAST THE CREEKERS DON'T CHEAT!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. My bad, I was talking about the "STUDY HALL" / ALGEBRA / WEIGHT LIFTING / "LETS SEE HOW THINGS ARE GOING BEFORE WE TEST"(gateway) class.
  23. Boy this board sure did get quiet. Still no comments back from the blue ribbon school on "STUDY HALL"
