The District 13AAA regular season went right down-to-the-wire as many suspected that it would. Hardin County, Brighton, and Munford played some great baseball to decide the regular season champ. And JCM did not quit but competed each night. For those of you that didn't get to see Monday nights game between Hardin Co. and Brighton, you missed a great one. Hardin Co. scored seven runs in the 6th to go up 9-3. Brighton scored 6 in the bottom of the 7th to send it to extra innings. Brighton ultimately won 10-9 in 15 innings. (One of the better games that I've seen this year.) The defense and pitching late were great. Doby (/cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" /> and Buczynski (HC) I'm glad that Doby wasn't available on Tuesday. Of course, Hardin Co. won 9-3 on Tuesday night behind Hunter Fowler to sew up the District title. If this is any indication of what we will see in the District tournament next week at Munford, we will be in for a great one. Also, either of these 3 teams might not have the record of Bartlett, but on a given night will give them all that they want.
