Phieffer's biggest problem is that he is a punk, somewhat of a smart a--. If he would lose the attitude, quit thinking he is great and play ball, he could be the best in the state.

Anybody with this kinda stats at his finger tips must be keeping the book or a book ????? Not trying to stir any pot. As far as stats go, can you imagine how high they would be if the batters just went to the plate and tried to get a good solid hit right up the middle, down the first base line or where ever Phil has taught them to hit the ball when called on, play smart baseball & quit going to the plate with a ME attitude and TRYING to swing for the fence every at bat. IS THERE ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT ????? Calling kids by name, I've said nothing to add any pressure to anyone or hurt any feelings. If so get em off your shoulder. Let's get over this one and post new stuff !!!

I am just saying that I know this team has talent & it's spread all over the field. I know Phil knows this too, he's just got to get a handle on it and play straight up baseball. Fundamentals, fundamentals, fundamentals. Phil is a good coach & has a good staff, if anyone can get a group like this thinking baseball and I mean good sound baseball it's this coaching staff. Sometimes it just takes an outsider looking in to get the attention of those in charge. I hope the Panthers can go all the way, especially after coming so close last year.

My sources agree with you Trojan, (Hatfield) has been struggling since their trip to Alabama, (Davis) having a good year so far, Grisham, Wright & Atkinson have had their share of problems, Carnett has been great this year, where's he been hiding him at??? & Joyner has slammed the door all season as THE CLOSER. Now as to the bats, don't be fooled by the news paper. The home run count may be going up, but the size of their head is also. Maybe, just maybe some good solid hits would be better for the teams sake. Feathers, Dangar, Burrow & Murk hit and hit hard for base hits and RBI's. The swings for the fence & an occasional home run don't seem to be worth all the strike outs & pop fly's and a notible in the paper. Phil has Bartlett's chance again this year for a State Title, he'd better get them thinking T E A M work. Bartletts 1st Title Phil's 2nd Sure would be nice to see West TN with that!!!
