  3. Looks like their are some good teams, some teams will be tested early, Looks like some heavyweights will be going at it.
  4. The couple of practice games that I have seen they look pretty strong, they made a good run last year and this year the pitching looks pretty deep and the big key is to keep the errors down, thats what cost them last year in the state and a 4th appearance in the championship game . If they can get some senior leadership and not thinking about themself their is no telling how far they can go.
  5. Does anybody know if they are having problems with their web site or is it just my computer.

    Signings?

juco, walters could beat most d1 schools,
  7. Most all of you are correct, Riverdaleman I dont know how it is in middle and east tenn. but i know for a fact the the player from west tenn if they are not invited by the coach they will not be pick and some of the kids i know of in the past didnt even have to try out. There are coaches down here that pretty much run the roost and they have kids already on the team. Their are coaches that will make deals to get one of their kids on the team. And it is the same way with the sunbelt team. A lot of it is who has the bigger lips !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Is USJ struggling this year, I seen that arlington beat them pretty good.
  9. The pitching seems to be the key to bartlett, they can hit but they have no depth in the pitching, most of their losses have been in the last inning they dont have a good closer. They are very inexperience at the pitching and that has been a very strong point in the teams that they have had in the past 3 to 4 yrs they could go 4 to 6 deep easy and with a team that could hit and the two senior pitchers they have this yeaar they are going to be in a world of hurt this year and next year. I havent seen the junior class having the pitching they need or from the jv from what i have seen. The road looks very rough for the panthers in the next few years. They need to pull a rabbit from the hat. Good Luck !!!
  10. You are right about that, they may have seen the best teams they will every have. But their is growth in bartlett but it is all north and east bartlett and the school boundries are that the kids either go to bolton or arlington, the bound for bartlett is so small they cant get any of the kids that move into the new subdivisions. That is what happen to the football team when arlington open and they change the boundries they lost so many kids that played together in the youth programs the it depleted the talent and it has made the football program suffer. The same will happen with baseball program until they change some of the school boundries. open enrollment is the only thing helping bartlett.

  12. So Mr Pantherbert you have to have panther in your name to be a bartlett supporter, so how long have you been in area. I been around when Bartlett was the only high school in the area besides bolton. I been around before it was name bartlett high school, i have been around a lot longer than mr pantherbert also how may generations of family have you sent their well if it has more than 4 than you have me beat. Well i guess you know nothing about a school in california. Sorry you dont like my school. Also i not saying the kid has talent i am saying some kids can get away with out having to pull their weight (running, working out, etc. ) and punishment work because of their talent and who they are and he has not been the first one to get away with the same thing in that camp. Some kids are made examples of because they are not as talented. Where were you at when we were playing ball at the field behide the school yes that right, behind the school.
  13. Like i said i guess, that suspension is teaching him a lesson, it must have slipped the coaches mind. I quess he not the type you make a example of. I quess talent makes a big decision in what type of punishment a player gets. Not knocking him i blame the coaches, some have to work and some get away with not trying. The old saying is life is not fair !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. well you are right, but you cant teach speed but all coachs think if a player can throw 90 + they can work on the control, they will take a player that throws 90 and all over the place and pass on the player who throws strikes, its nice to have a pitcher that throws high 80's to 90's but if they walk more than strike out well tell me who you rather have. I think the redbirds had a guy like that, i think he plays center field now
  15. that was just a old crosstown whippin
