  1. Why would you feel sorry for them? They won. And Harris played the next day anyway.
  2. Harris was in the hospital the night before for cramping after the MUS match.
  3. Mccallie beat MUS 4-2. Singles: Harris (M)def. Lang George def. Mclemore (M) Henry (M) def Addington Nelson (M) def Carter Wills def Ismail (M) Doubles: Harris/Ismail (M) def. Lang/Addington
  4. Lang turned down Princeton for UT. Bad move. He would have done well at Princeton. Parks will have a very hard time getting any playing time at UT Hatcher is going to W&L Harris and Kane are going to Sewanee Adam Baker is going to play at Vandy
  5. From a viable source: William Lang reinjured his back. It flairs up certain days and is fine others, so it all depends whether or not it gets better or worse before state. He has to make a decision soon about whether he can play at state because if they turn in their lineup with him playing one and he ends up getting worse and can't play, they can't move their lineup up one spot. They would have to either forfeight number one or put in their number 6 player. If he decides that he can't play before they turn their lineup in, then they will more than likely move their lineup up one spot and have watson or addington playing one.
  6. 1. Harris defeats Crist 6-1, 7-5 2. Parks defeats Mclemore 6-4, 6-4 3. Henry defeats Hatcher 6-3, 6-2 4. Nelson defeats Walling 7-5 in third 5. Ismail defeats Mackabee score=?
  7. rumor is william lang is out for the rest of the season as well as summer with an injury, so he might not have a showing at state. however, with that in play, will TSSAA let MUS move their lineup up one spot (against the rules--since you have to play a certain number of matches at that spot during the regular season to play it) or will they have to pull what they did at the carter, and put their 6 at one? either way, that hurts them big time.
  8. epps would have won easily had he not had blisters. he would have probably won if he had toughed it out and played anyway, regardless of blisters. my best guess is he didn't play because he was overconfident that baylor didn't need him and that they would have won without him.
  9. He had 3 or 4 blisters on one of his feet...apparently it was hard to even walk. i would have still put him at 5, though, even if he had to hop on one foot.
  10. I agree. Plus, put Jimmy Epps in the lineup at 5, and he wins easily and Baylor is going to state. Bad circumstances and it's a pity Baylor lost. They deserve to be in the state semis.
  11. Harris had chances to get the first set off of bo at the carter--two 40-40 games at 4-4 JP beat Julian at the carter they had been switching tanz and orlando at 3 and 4 so mccallie was second guessing by switching up wes and david Tariq is still hurt and Jimmy has been playing out of his mind (took both Harris and Nelson to three sets)
  12. This is the first year Baylor has actually qualified for state in a lonnng time. Probably 5 years. GPS annihilated them 9-0--props to the Bruisers. They will be back to back state champs.
  13. Jimmy had blisters on his foot from playing Wes the day before. It was a bad idea to schedule back to back region matches against both McCallie and Webb, and it seems they're paying the consequences for it. I feel bad for Baylor though. It has been a rough week.
