  4. The play-in games will be Saturday. (Fulton at Harriman / AE at Grace) Quarter finals - Monday Semi finals - Tuesday Championship game - Thursday Wed and Fri will be used as rain days if needed.
  5. G, I typed it right off the memo. I personally think it's nuts...but I am sure they are tired of folks bending the rules.
  6. From talking to coach Larry Johnston at Fulton, most of the games they had to forfeit and the extended suspensions on the players involved was a response from their administration and not TSSAA. I would assume that TSSAA is trying to make a STATEMENT with this ruling, especially with this being the second such occurance this year. Although this ruling seems harsh the message is clear, play under control or you won't play at all.
  7. July 2008 TSSAA sent out a memo from Bernard Childress and Gene Menees which in part reads: "Last year, we allowed Spring sport coaches to go and watch their student-athletes participate in Fall League games, tournaments, meets, matches, etc. This was a misinterpretation by the state office. The definition of practice is coach and player(s) together with instruction, teaching, coaching, etc. Due to the fact that in Fall ball there is instruction, teaching and coaching going on, all coaches of Spring sports cannot be present. Student-athletes may continue to participate in Fall leagues, but high school coaches cannot watch them play. Please keep in mind that the 50% rule applies to basketball, baseball, and softball."

  11. Heritage at Carter Thursday night - April 30 Kick off has been moved to 7:00
  12. I got the chance to see the Crockett - Henry Co game and just a bit of the Sullivan Central - Henry Co game. Henry Co has one of the best defenses I have seen...big, strong, speed, and they keep their shape. In the four games they played they only allowed 1 goal. VERY IMPRESSIVE!
  13. Thanks Coach, Coach Shane and his staff did a great job with this years tournament. It was a fun experience for our team. The only suggestion I would make is that next year he lower the tempature a little. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />.

  18. Just a note: Daniel Boone has dropped out of the tournament. There are now 7 teams in the Grey division. Each team will play 4 different teams in the that div and the champion will be determined by the team with the most points.
  19. Akula, Thanks for this post on Mark's kick...a lot of rival coaches would not do something like this...once again you show you class! THANKS!
  20. I don't know that I would say that. They have several quality players and their keeper -Tyler- is one of the best in our area. Also, Berean is know for showing up in the big games. coach Lee does a great job...Rusty Baxter is a fine player at midfield and Alexander Haun is a very fine keeper. It appears that their younger players are developing as well.
  21. I think Loudon is making a bit of noise!
  22. Akula, You have got a great team. They are obviously very well coached (congrats to your asst coachses - HA!) It was a great game. Your team plays exceptionally hard with with a lot of class and skill. Sam Thompson had one of finest goals in that first half...He had some mustard on that ball. And Derrick Brodus, he is a special player. Thanks for your hospitality tonight...you, your players, parents, and fans were great!
  23. G, One of our Dad's took those shots. It was quite a shot.
  24. Akula, Can you tell us if Alcoa has any weaknessess?
