  1. Hey, I'm open to anything the finds the best team and that is another way. You are right though about softball, it basically is who has the best pitcher, even if they only have one, but their format is what I like.
  2. Yeah that was funny and entertaining stuff. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
  3. Hey I'm not mad, I don't even know you, just thought it was one of the stupidest posts I've ever seen and wanted to bring that to your attention. I didn't even know there was a loop to be left out of and so what if the whole state knew who was going, what are they going to do pull a Tonya Harding? /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> Should be a good game or games either way. Two very talented ball clubs.
  4. Follow this link, it will show you all the game times: http://www.chattanoogan.com/articles/article_106619.asp#07S
  5. Three game serious? ...as opposed to a three game joke? One is for real and the other is just to get ready for serious. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
  6. Agree to disagree then. Should add a day then, start on Monday. I realize softball pitchers can go every day, I wasn't comparing that aspect of the brackets, however if you compare the two, from the sectional to win it all from the winner's bracket is 5 games, same as baseball. To win it from the loser's bracket, it takes 6 games maybe 7, so at the most that is one more game than baseball if you come out of the loser's bracket from the outset. But they get what I consider a true champion.
  7. From another observer, I didn't see it as being predetermined at all, but you have to understand if the coaches already were familer with several players and knew their ability, wouldn't they have to see something above their ability to change their opinion? As in boxing, you have to take the champion's belt not just show up and last 12 rounds.
  8. As an added comment: Why should it be possible to lose a game and still win the Championship over a team with no losses? The tournament should be a true double elimination tournament using the softball brackets. You would get a true Champion that way. Now whoever wins and the runner up can both have one loss( that is stupid to the 12th power).
  9. Well, you don't have to have the coach's phone number or be his best friend to figure it out: Most likely you have used your best three pitchers to this point. You have no tommorrow and therefore cannot afford to be sent home using your fouth or fifth pitcher. You would be second guessing yourself the rest of the summer. You have to go back to your number one even on one day's rest and at least try to get four or five innings out of him ( I assume Gant since he started the first game) considering he only threw five innings the first day. My prediction is he starts and the closer from Day 1 comes in in relief if needed. Game 2 you worry about after the final out of Game 1. Just my opinion though.
  10. So basically you just posted so we would all know you have the coach's number and are roommates?
  11. Maybe you should get a slot on the "Tonight Show" along side Jay Leno.
  12. So who's it going to be? Why come on here and say you know who is starting and not say.
  13. The problem is not common sense or a good playoff plan, the problem is that TSSAA is run arbritarily by a few select people who are influenced rather easily. The answer is simple: All proposals should be ratified by a 2/3 majority vote by all member schools affected. Someone should file a lawsuit forcing them to do just that. This is only one of hundreds of issues that would not survive the democrat process.
