We have had a few games this year that we only played one, two, or three quarters to our ability. This sub-state game wasnt one of them. The girls had trouble scoring in the 2nd quarter, but we just missed some shots. Every one of the gils played as hard as they could for four-quarters and thats all one can ask of them. Unaka wasnt a two-quater effort in a four-quarter game. We just got beat by a better team on that night. If you were there than you might have seen that. The girls played as hard as they could all four quarters.

What made the Clay game so lopsided? Did there press hurt them?

The players win the games, but the games are won in practice. The girls work hard getting better and come out show it. This team has a long ways to go, but if they keep working hard and play as a team the will be ready come tour. time.

That is a lie. I am the coach of the Lady Rangers and all the I said to the ref was you have to report to me that it was her 5 th foul. He told the girl but didnt tell me anything.

Unaka had 4 girls to foul out and 2 more with 4 fouls. The on ref called 4 stright calls on Unaka in overtime and none of them were true. The ref was asked by the coach why he didnt report the girl had fouled out, and he T' ed him up .

At the end of 3rd quarter it was a 6 point ball game.

Both boys and girls teams have a chance to go to state. They both have to work hard, get a little lucky and have a good time. The teams at Unaka are a family and we support each other and we have a great fan following.

I agree with you out4blood. I have not done anything to be considered one of the better coaches. But the girls that play for me does show that they are above average team. If the girls keep getting better then one day we might be considered one of the better teams in the area, and that is what is important to me.
