  1. Looking good Rebels. Let's take it all this year.
  2. McKenzie Rebels 1A team beat em up pretty bad on Friday. It was like 49 to 20 in a scrimmage.
  3. I would'nt overlook the McKenzie Rebels. I just watched them crush a 4A team last night. A scrimmage at Liberty High School ended with a score of about 49 to 20. They have the running game and can pass at will, short gain or go long. Should be a State Contender this year.
  4. I don't care if the umpire was his daddy, Forrest could not win that game. If I remember correctly, they could not hit the ball, and it was thrown right through a keyhole (going 95 mph.) Mckenzie did hit the ball. Makes a difference.
  5. I hope the new coach will put forth the effort to take this team as far as they have the potential to go. I really am dissappointed that he has the basketball duties also. I hope we get started before basketball season is over in mid-March. I have big hopes for next years team. I know they can win it all, they just have to believe it and we need a good COACH.
  6. You throw in Clint Kee, Sabree Pyne, and Kyle Kirk and all four are going to be a threat at sometime during each game. All of them have been showing signs of some pretty good hands at passing league games.
  7. I guess the rebel fans are not awake yet. I think Mckenzie has excellent chances at being #1 this year.
  8. come on McKenzie Fans , jump in and tell what you know so far and your thoughts on this season
  9. My heart goes out to Jordan and his family. I will pray for you. I am sure though that he is already playing the game of his life in Heaven while looking down on all of us and hoping we all finish this life we have here with purpose and meaning and he will live forever in the hearts of those who loved him.
  10. Former Union University baseball standout Lynn Yarbrough will guide the Rebels baseball and basketball programs next season. He coached both baseball and basketball in Missouri. Let's hope he knows that he is getting a baseball team for sure that could go the distance next year. Good luck Coach Yarbrough !
  11. Who are going to be the standouts ? Do they have a running game ?
  12. Well Mckenzie did not lose but one starter. I believe you will see alot of pitching depth in their bullpen and if I remember right, the Rebels played one game with no mistakes and then the next game they could not make a play and the game at McKenzie was one of those games. You didn't beat our pitcher up. Our defense in the field beat us. I think it will be Mckenzie taking the all the wins against you next year. They were a new team this year with 8 Seniors graduating last year. They will be more unified next year , I hope. Also, I think next year will be a good year for Kee. I hear he is 5 and 0 in the American Legion League in Kentucky so far this summer and that is against nearly all college players. Anyway we will have to play defense and score runs to beat anybody.
  13. McKenzie only loses one starter this year and returns a team that is going to be solid. Their #1 pitcher will be Clint Kee who as of right now is 5-0 in American Legion Baseball in Kentucky. He has beaten the Memphis Tigers twice this season and beat Vincennes (#2 team in the state of Indiana on Sun). Also you have Parker Jones, 6'5" Junior Tyler Holt, Lefty Nick Chappel. Plenty of depth in their pitching staff. They had a team batting average of .365 this year and that is a little higher than the team that won State in 06. They were an inexperienced team this year after losing 8 starters for the 06 season but they still went to sub-state. I predict they will go all the way in 08.
  14. Mckenzie has the team and the talent. We will see.
  15. mckenzie will be the team that dominates the Single A bracket in 2008. You watch. They made it to substate this year and are only losing 1 senior. i predict they win that one next year and go to the boro.
