  1. sounds to me like greenbrier overlooked station camp a little bit. I'm not surprised a bit though. Station Camp has been known to upset some teams over the years.
  2. who did upperman get beat by to not win their pool?
  3. just wanted to say great list /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> everyone that comes to mind is on that list

rumor has it that goodpasture and dca games are being switched... monday at gp tuesday at dca... i'm not sure why
  9. Monday 5:00 at DCA...Stem vs. Adkins on the hill Tuesday 4:30 at Goodpasture... Cripps vs. whoever DCAs number 2 is What are your thoughts? The only opponent they've had in common is White House who Goodpasture beat 2-1 and 4-2. DCA also won both games 10-0 and 6-3. Seems like an even matchup. Any predictions?

    Trick Plays.

Runner on third. after the pitcher begins his windup or motion to the plate, the batter jumps out of the box and yells time. If there's a good ump, he will not award the batter time because the pitcher is already in his wind up. The pitcher will be startled and not pitch the ball, which is a balk, and the runner scored. A team did this to us many years ago and I was not very happy. Bush league, but a trick play nonetheless. Another is when there are only two umpires, one behind the plate and one in the field, runners on second and third the hitter puts down a bunt. The home plate ump should be watching the runner cross the plate and the field ump should be watching the play at first so the runner on second and cut third WAY short through the grass and there, you have two runs on a bunt. Once again, someone has done it to a team i've coached and I was not very happy...BUSH

  13. Lets set the record straight. When someone throw's 93 one time that dosen't mean he can throw 93 all the time. I was at the East Coast tryout's in Dayton Ohio. Sat behind Kentucky, L'ville and the Dayton coaches. I saw over fifty pitcher's throw that day none were over 91. Seth Lintz for marshall co. someone say's throw's 92 or 93. I'm sorry the highest he got was 89. Stem from DCA has hit 93 before but most of the time 90 or 91. Sonny Gray for smyrna may have hit 97 before I've seen him throw he's around 93'94 most of the time. I'm not knocking anyone, It amazing how these kid's can throw a ball at such a young age. I can assure you I wouldn't want to hit against them. That's just my thought's.

Who all is playing this week and what are some predictions on these games?
  18. Lipscomb always has a good team especially in the hitting department, but do they have enough pitching this year? Goodpasture always has a great program for some reason, i dont know how they do it, but this year their pitching depth could get them in trouble in tournament play. They have a solid number one, a decent number two, and after that there's not much to fall back on. DCA is being very underestimated this year as they always are. Last year's team lost less than 10 games and i'm pretty sure they beat state champions goodpasture at least two times, maybe three i'm not too sure, but they only lost one senior from last year's team. Look for them to be a force this year.
  19. How's your favorite team preparing for the season?
  20. good lord. I would hate to face that line-up. looks to be pretty stacked
  21. BS. The teams would be so much better than they actually are if they recruited. And, goodpasture and dca are both Kindergarden through 12th grade schools and i gaurantee 90% of the players on each team have been at their school since at least elementary school, and if they are recruiting elementary school kids then they are doin a heck of a job of predicting them.
  22. something about portland players throwing quarters and rocks at goodpasture's 1st baseman last year from the dugout and some white house players exchanged some words with some portland players in the parking lot after they beat them pretty good. the bottom line is, portland is just not a very good team but they try and make up for it by startin fights n what not
  23. lol. you play for greenbrier, why don't you tell me? I think everyone ALMOST got in a fight with portland
  24. I respect that. Greenbrier should be very tough this year... I don't see Goodpasture winning the district though. Either way the greenbrier/dca matches go i think one of those two teams will take goodpasture down at least in the regular season if not the district tournament. Two new starting pitchers won't be consistent enough in my opinion
  25. so i've heard. isn't he a beast for being just a sophomore?
