Do you think that West will beat them as bad as last year?

I can't tell you how excited I am for this game. West's first big division game. Behind Bearden, Powell, and Central (in that order) Halls is definitely up there with teams I like West to beat most. We're hopefully brining a lot of fans out there too. Might start out close but West SHOULD pull away 2nd quarter.

Am I? It was actually between the 6-8 minute mark and I know, because I was there and I SAW with my own eyes second and third string players in even a little before then. South Doyle scored twice and got a safety in that time period! Therefore making it look a lot closer then that game was. Yes West did not play as well in the 2nd half West only scored one more time and SD scored once while the 1st string was still in but thats still 42-14.....

And it definitely wasn't an upset, Ryan did have a field day and the only reason the score looks remotely close is because the 2nd/3rd strings were put in and SD kept its 1st in. Finally a good win for West.

West is ticked off, there is no way they are going to lose of all things because of those losses. They played with, in my opinion the two best teams in the city and almost won against Bearden with 18 seconds left, and had Ryan played would have played Farragut a lot closer and might have pulled off the win. Look for an almost repeat of last year. After losing their first two games West came and stomped SD. I know this team is improved but its still for the most part the same team. West's Defense will step up and most likely keep SD's offense from doing anything. The O might have a little trouble with SD's line, but that won't stop them.

I really think that Ryan and Holiday are much alike and for that reason this game is probably going to be a shoot out. How are Bearden's recievers?

I've heard rumors that Maryville is playing Hoover next year. Can anybody confirm or deny that?

Well, the kid didn't get a DUI, in fact it wasn't really that bad at all. Rumors have blown it out of proportion. I won't he exactly did, but he's having to serve other punishments as well.

I love how the Sentinal says that he is suspended for the entire game when that is completely wrong. Unless something has changed in the past 8 hours.

Rebelron, just curious but is Maryville ever, in the near future, going to have an off year? Because you think they would by now, but the talent just keeps coming. I've also heard rumors about them going 5A either next year or the year after that and Fulton moving to 3-4A.

I'll have to say I have more faith in West now. I was expecting a one quarter killing by Fulton, but when Klatzbach got the ball he just kind of took off, nobody could catch him. I never knew he was that good. Anyway, this makes me think that the Farragut game is going to be a good one, and I'll say West by 7.

When I wrote those words I almost put "ALMOST as good" and actually kind of meant to but I basically meant that they were the Maryville of that division, because besides Maryville and last year Fulton they usually dominate.

If your boys weren't able to withstand the heat then that means Webb was the better team, that is not a worthy excuse at all. I think Webb has shown they could easily compete in 4A because of the wing-t that they run. And I'm curious why will they be "back to normal" when they have been winning normally for the past 5 years constant. They only problem is they can't get past Alcoa, but have played them just as well as any 4A team plays Maryville and Alcoa is just as good as Maryville. And if Powell will be down for a few years and you wouldn't play CAK maybe they're the ones who can't compete with 3-4A.....

You greatly underestimate CAK. I'll compare them to Webb i guess, anyway Webb played tough out of region opponents LIKE POWELL (beat them both times not on their "off years") and did very well including knocking off Knox West twice. CAK is just as good as Webb has been if not better. They beat many upper division teams in scrimages this summer including Bearden. I think CAK could easily compete with 3-4A teams not necessarily make playoffs every year but definitely be in the Powell Halls range of the region this year. Just wait until the 28th of Sept. when CAK plays Webb to see what I mean.

Does anyone know if this game is at West or at Farragut? I have heard both since spring and even the schedule on coacht has both down.
