  1. catfish your pathetic. Your life revolves around posting on CoachT and talkin crap about WH and its fans. Get a life and quit braggin about Cheatham makin the playoffs every now and then!
  2. Great all around game for WH last night. Polk Co has nothing to hang their heads about. Those boys never quit trying and I want to wish them luck for next season. Thanks for some of the classier fans from Polk Co coming back here to congratulate WH and wish us luck. I know we have our share of idiots on this board that claim to support WH but yall really had some "fans" that were going a little overboard this week. I'm glad to see that they were a gross misrepresentation of your fanbase. Yee Haw and a few other of you Polk fans have shown me that you guys are more the rule when it comes to judging your fanbase. Thanks for the great game last night and best of luck, again, for next year. Maybe we will cross paths again in the playoffs! Also, I heard the collection was for a Polk coach whose home was broken into. Was it actually a house fire? As for the game, the boys looked great. It was good that they didn't come out flat like last week. We will need to keep that intensity versus Greenbrier or it could be another close one. It was good to see Chad Neal bounce back from that neck and head injury he suffered against Greenbrier. i thought he was going to break that 1st catch for a 70 yard TD. Payne and Dixon were both running with a purpose and both sides of our line dominated. Parker looked good in run support and on his long catch. I hope Chad Neal, Demarqus Payne, and Matt Parker aren't overlooked when it comes time for the post season awards. I think Neal has been an unsung hero at many times this season. Payne has been as well with Dixon sharing some carries. Neal seems like he's always in on or around the play on defense and he is money in the open field. I don't know how many long TD runs he has saved with his open field tackling back there at Free Safety. I know Parker has had some injuries but he also has come through with his share of bgi plays for the team.
  3. I'm told Parker will probably miss 3 weeks. Should be a good game this Friday despite losing Parker. Some other guys are going to have to step up. I know Alcoa is a very good team but I think people are selling WH a little short. I know most posters from East TN don't know anything about WH so I understand their feelings on the game. It does seem that some people commenting from Middle TN seem to want to downgrade WH and their team. I think WH prefers being underdogs though. There are some WH "supporters" that are over the top with some of their crap but you can find that with any school. I think it will be a lot closer than most think. I wouldn't sell WH short.
  4. All the players I talk to all seemed to think that Greenwade should get the job. I must say that I was in the group of fans that wanted him to get it. At the same time I've seen alot of improvement from Aussie Light. Through the 1st 3 scrimmages that I've attended I must say Light looks to be the better QB at the moment. Trox has been a little banged up according to a few players. I expect him to do well for WH. I do think that Aussie has been a pleasant surprise. He has shown good accuracy and decision making skills. I expect him to get the majority of the snaps at the jamboree. I still think that Trox will get some series' too. I think it would take one heckuva showing for Trox to take the starting QB job from Aussie. I also think that it's a little much when you talk down on 16 year old kids. I don't know Aussie. I've spoken several times with Trox and he is a good kid. I would be lying if I said I wasn't pulling for Trox a little. I am objective though, and I think Aussie has performed better so far, and that's where the job should be won....on the field!! I do know I will support whoever wins the starting QB job. I am a fan of the team, not one individual. I hope both kids keep the competition interesting up until the regular season kicks off.
  5. No one said that H'ville played like world beaters tonight. They played fairly well. Both teams made a couple mistakes but what do you expect in preseason. That's why they play these games. Even though this thread is about WH/H'villle Antwan seems to keep going back to SC and since I've been at all 3 scrimmages I can say that there was a difference in the intensity of WH's play. It was pretty obvious. That's not second and third hand info Antwan. I saw it with my own eyes. WH looked and played alot more fired up in the DL and H'ville scrimmages. I'm not trashing SC. I said they looked like a pretty good team and they came out strong. You seem to take it personal that people say WH looked flat. No one said SC stinks. WH just didn't play like they gave a crap about the game. Manny said it well, 15-18 yr olds can be unmotivated at times. Especially against teams from out of region that they will never see in a real game. Most of them probably have no idea who SC is. It isn't a slight against SC that people say WH looked flat. It seems to bother you though. It's just an observation about WH's play in the scrimmage. Even with said flatness, SC only won 14-10. Maybe they should set up a regular season game kind of like WH and Alcoa did. Maybe that could settle whatever issue you have. With all that said, I don't care too much about wins and losses in preseason. I'm ready for the real games.
  6. Neither team was very flat tonight. WH won 27-21. They had the lead 21-7 for most of the night and gave up a couple late TD's with the back ups in the game. Parker had a long td run off a swing pass out of the backfield. Payne had a very long run and was brought down inside the 5. Payne and DIxon both looked good running the ball except for a little trouble with ball security. The QB's were nothing exceptional but they were serviceable in my opinion. I think they are capable of more. The same goes for the defense. WH looked pretty good against the run but the pass defense left something to be desired. I think having the backups play so much had something to do with that. The coaches seemed to be giving alot of guys chances to play tonight. I think if we continued on with our core players we would have put up at least 35 on H'ville. H'ville did look to have a pretty good team and I believe they will have a good season. WH just performed closer to expectations tonight. They can certainly do better though. Count me as one who thought WH looked very flat and unmotivated against SC. I thought that they could have played much better in that game. That's not taking anything away from SC at all. They came out strong and looked good. It's not like WH got blown out though. WH was right there in it even though it was a very flat and uninspired performance. I do believe if that game happened again in a month WH would win by a td or more. I had a feeling that they would come out stronger tonight against H'ville. It's a local school that the guys definitely want to beat. Not that they don't want to beat SC, I just thought they looked unmotivated against SC. I think the coaches solved that little problem. They didn't seem too happy after the SC scrimmage. Anyone know when the next scrimmage is? I thought there was one more before the jamboree. If no one knows I will find out and post it this weekend. GO BLUE!!!
  7. I was at the game last night. They played 3 qtrs. WH won 26-14. The kicking started off a little shaky for WH but picked up at the end. This could end up being a problem down the road but everyone should reserve judgement until the kid has had a couple games of experience. WH also had some key players out of action. Demarrius Payne (WR/RB/CB/ST), Chad Neal (WR/FS/ST), and Michael Barrett are a couple off hand. All 3 are going to be key contributors to this team. I was impressed with Thomas Aldridge and Chase Neal's performance filling in for Demarrius Payne and Chad Neal. WH is a VERY deep team this year. Bryan Dixon had a great game except for his fumble. It was a great start to his season. I would say he had nearly 100 yds rushing if not more. He also scored 2 td's. Demarques Payne scored the other 2 td's during the 3 qtrs that the starters played. Both RB's looked good for the 1st scrimmage. Aussie Light took all the snaps at QB. He was also impressive considering this was his first real varsity action. He threw a good ball and made good decisions for the most part. He did throw 2 interceptions but other than that he looked very good. He made 2 good deep throws. 1 to Matt Parker for a 40+ yd gain & the other a 35yd td to Chase Neal at the end. The WR's and Duty the TE all looked pretty good. There were a couple of drops but for the most part they caught everything that came their way. Matt Parker had a GREAT game. He was catching swing passes out of the backfield and making impressives catches on some deep throws. Parker also looked good from his SS position. I was surprised that Trox Greenwade didn't take any snaps at QB. I had heard from some players that he was looking like the starting QB this season. Maybe the coaches are going to give the DL game to Aussie and Smith Co. to Trox. I guess that is the most fair way to determine the starter. Either way I was pleasantly surprised with Aussie's performance and hope he can keep it up. I also hope Trox gets his shot in a scrimmage. From everything I've heard he deserves it. Another surprise to me was Rogers Gaines playing both ways. The coaches had to make him switch over to the O line. I didn't expect him to play some snaps at DT too. If he can play with some fire and intensity he could help take WH to the highest level this year. I thought he did OK for his 1st game of the preseason. He got beat a couple times but he looked decent. I hope he keeps working hard to get better. Gaines really is a good guy and I hope he can put it all together this year for both the team and himself. All in all I thought the coaches and players were well prepared and it showed. WH definitely looked like the better team but I know it's early. I'm a huge WH supporter and have loved ones and friends playing key roles on this team. I am also a straight shooter and will not come on here saying WH is the best team in the whole state and will beat any opponents by 100 points. I hope this was insightful info. I plan on attending all the scrimmages and games this year and I will give an objective review of each. GO BLUE!!!!!!!
