Betsy proved that they are the real deal. the devils needed to realize that its hard to run against our defence and when they needed to pass the line pinned back their ears and come after the qb, looks like your off. line give up in the end. North has played volunteer W(28-27), East(42-21), Rye Cove(41-6), the common opp that both have played is Volunteer which we won33-6. They better strap on there track cleats when they come to town. I look for a better outcome than last year i say besty 29-8. Didnt the filed last night look like a college field with the endzones and mid-field. Lets keep puttin fans in the stands, this very well could be a special year for Shawn and the Cyclones.

i think that betsy can blow this thing wide open if the play like they are capiable of. They should come out with a chip on our shoulder due to the rumor that H.V. called and said not to bring the helment this week. It starts from the opening kick off thats when we need to hit them in the mouth and put it away early. Cyclones by 24!

it seems like besty plays games close that they should get blown out in like DB, Science Hill and South for a half, but then the teams that they should blow out they struggle with. I think this game could be anywhere from 6 to 20 points differnece. If we play our best game and lose the turnover bug and exicute like they can we might pull one off but if not could be in for a long night. Good Luck to both teams. Go Besty "RTD"

i agree with you 100%. i talk smack but all in fun as a former coach i pray that no one ever gets hurt or injured while playing a game that so many people are passoniate about. I think you'll see a good game belive it comes down to who has the critical turnovers.

Do you even know Coach Witten? i bet not, so before you to spread the rhetoric (you might have to look that word up) about someone you don't have a clue about, you need to check your facts. Coach Witten worked for everything he has, can you name anyone who went to a BCS School on a full ride that is from JC? What about someone who was a graduate asst at the univ. of Tenn. So we will see come friday night who the better coach is. I say that it is Witten by atleast 7 no make that double digets. You may or may not be blue collar people but i know what one is and i see them all over E-Town and i happen to be one of them!

i think that it will be betsy by atleast 7. I dont think the 'horns will be able to handle the speed that will be on the field. As far as the reference of Coach Witten not being a coach, i'll take him any day with the displine that he brings and the respect that he has of the kids playing for him. There is more to coaching than w & l's. So with that being said, i will bet that he does a heck of a job the rest of the season and that we make the playoffs and JC sets at home then tell me Who can't coach?

what a big win that longhorns had over a under matched team last week maybe this week they will try to schedule a smaller school so that they can pick up another win. Next week baby its on get plenty of rest and say your prayers cause you will need all the power you got to handle the orange attack.

There is one big diference from last year having coach witten for a few weeks in practice to having been under him over a year now, there is more excitement on that field than last year i think that they will be a 6 or 7 win team. lok for them to improve week after week. The games they might lose are South, DB, tenn high and toss up with toppers. Good Luck coach w. bring back the tradition

i was totalled amazed that with south up 51-14 they are still blitzing with a lot of there 1st string still in. If i was Coach Carter i think that i would find someone else to return kick because Mr. Phillips is as good as advertised.

DB should beat betsy but just remeber what happened just over the mountain at ASU. We have nothing to lose and the pressure will be on DB because they are suspossed to win. I believe that it will be a better game than some think, by the end DB by single digets

The talk around the town when Coach Witten was hired was this year we should win the district.

Any one that thinks that this year would be a championship year was only kidding their selves. These kids are going to have to be taught to play the game to win just not play to lose. Stick with this ship and you will see a difference as the year goes on. They have improved week after week. As for the fans that are "saturday morning coaches" try bragging on the positives and not the negetatives. You will find out that you can win more flies with honey than with vineager.

This is what this town needs is a coach that is involved in the youth program. Coach Witten has been to several of the Pee-Wee practices and the scrimmage this past Sat. He is already getting to know the future cyclone players and watching their efforts. Good Luck To The Fighting Cyclones this year and many years to come. The Cyclone Tochdown Club is still accepting new members. So if you see a member, ask them about some of the things that they have done and also what is in the works for the current football season.
