  2. Thanks bud. Where do you get this info?
  3. Any ideas what our conference will look like next season? I've heard Unicoi Co., Happy Valley, Sullivan North and Sullivan East, but who else will be conference opponents? I'm just curious so if anyone has any information regarding that can you please let me know?
  4. For all those people who were expecting a blowout, I think the Cyclones proved tonight that they are better than most people think they are. The turnovers helped, but good teams force turnovers and Hodge picked off two balls in his FS debut. He also had two touchdown receptions. I think we showed what we're made of. We hit hard and even some of the DB players told us that we were their toughest opponent of the season so far.
  5. The Bearcats were okay in a scrimmage against Elizabethton, but a scrimmage doesn't really mean much. That being said, I feel confident in saying that THS will win even though they're @ VH. Let's go Vikings, show 'em what the MLC is made of!
  6. Our defense kept JC in the game. If they had they played the way they did against SH, it would've been a blowout. Also, to the folks who talked smack about our backs; they had a combined total of 233 yards tonight so it's safe to say your "tough" defense didn't show up either. Overall, great game from both teams. It was exciting all the way to the final whistle. I wish the Longhorns the best this season. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  7. Itaro's not the only speed we have and in fact he's not even the fastest person on the team. Last season, Derek Carr went to the TSSAA State Track & Field Championships. These were the 400m results: 1 Whitfield, Justin 11 Dyersburg 49.22 2 Kris, Taylor 11 Hixson High School 49.81 3 Martindale, Austin 10 University School 50.46 4 Gibson, Artaves 09 Mitchell 51.40 5 Crabtree, Rodney 09 Portland 51.97 6 Carr, Derek 11 Elizabethton 52.00 7 Carrington, Aryiane 11 Austin-East HS 52.04 8 Moore, LaDarius 12 Station Camp 52.50 6th in state isn't bad, especially with a sore ankle. If you have anyone on Johnson County that's faster I'd like to see their state results.
  8. For those of you (Longhorns) who can't count, we've beaten you 5 out of the last seven times and outscored you 179-107 in the last seven years. So what, you've beaten us two years straight. It's funny how you think that 27-13 is a whipping when we beat you 54-18 in '02.
  9. I think it'll be a good, competitive ball game from start to finish. School size doesn't always matter as we've shown Science Hill and South in the past. Good luck to both teams.
  10. It should be a great one. Science Hill 21 Elizabethton 28
  11. It's news to me but I wish him the best of luck. I remember watching him a few years back and boy could he fly.
  12. The Bearcats looked ok, but the Cyclones won 28-21 after letting a 21-7 lead diminish. The Boone scrimmage didn't go very well, they played like they were a little cocky and expected to run all over them.
  13. 1. Elizabethton 2. Sullivan South 3. Tennessee High 4. Johnson County 5. Sullivan East 6. Sullivan North 7. Unicoi County 8. Sullivan Central I put Elizabethton on top but I think it could go either way for 1st between 'Betsy and South.
  14. How does Elizabethton stack up to the rest of the conference this season? The JV team who went 8-1 last season, including wins against DB and Tennessee High, are all juniors or seniors this year. Any thoughts on the upcoming season?
