They have a few teams out there that are club in those areas, but the sole reason why club soccer cannot catch on in the area is money. In my graduating class at Carter we were given a list of statistics that we could look back when were older and reflect on and all that junk. There was one statistic that shocked me. The average income of a 2 working parent household in the area is only $35,000 a year. So the average household only brings in that much and has to support two parents and at least one kid on that income. Now sure there are plenty of exceptions higher and lower than that stat, but it still shows that most people don't have a disposable income for things like club soccer and such. These statistics were given to us so it may be error infested and take it for what its worth. Club soccer is an expensive thing if done right, and I think that a lot of good athletes in these areas can't put forth that amount of money for coaches, trainers, travel, etc. Just my two cents worth.

I like Farragut 3-0.

It was 2-0 at halftime in CAK's favor off of early half goals by Jake Ragland and I didn't catch who scored the second. Then Sherrod scored about ten minutes into the half to make it 2-1. Then Carter appears to score off of a free kick that is headed in by Sherrod, but it is called offsides. This was a very questionable call, and I'll let everyone else comment on it. About 15 minutes later Grigsby scored for Carter off of a beautiful cross by Jess Johnson. During the first overtime period Sherrod rips one from a solid 25 yards out that should be the goal of the year. It was a thing of beauty. CAK tied it up on nice one touch passing in front of the goal in stoppage time to even it at 3-3. CAK scored with a minute left on a Jake Ragland goal to win with a minute left in sudden death. It was a good, exciting game that had several momentum swings. I felt that both teams played a little direct and impatient at times, but that comes with close games. Congratulations to both teams for a fantastic game. It was nice to meet you G.

You may be the first person to ever spell Jamaal's name right! haha. I think CAK top to bottom plays a better possession type game which I think will serve them well in this game. I hate to say it, but I see CAK coming out on top 3-1. How's the field G?

This will be an interesting game. Alcoa played CAK tough last year and I expect them to give Catholic a good game this year also. I think in the end, Catholic takes this one 2-0. Good luck to both teams
