  1. Heard Carter won 5-1 against Berean. Don't know any details though.
  2. Bennett #11 and Wilson #15 from Carter Several from Fulton especially #24 Steele
  3. I'd say they are taller than average, as a team. Decent perimeter shooting. They rely a lot on fast breaks and pressure defense. Thanks. I'd say that from this Carter plays close to the same style. This will be a good matchup.
  4. I haven't seen Maplewood at all this year so I can't really make a good prediction. Are they a big team or a heavy perimeter team? This should be a very good game.
  5. great game but check ft. east never shot but 5 and check carters. difference in game. Your not going to shoot free throws if you only go inside 5 times a game. East lived by the three and almost won by the three. East has a good team and are well coached. Carter had to overcome several terrible hand-check calls also. The officiating was terrible overall but they didn't cost East the game.
  6. How many teams from the district go onto region play? I guess how will advancing work from here out?
  7. Some of these losses are much worse than usual. Unless I am mistaken AE beat them without Pryor. This AE team is somewhat depleted having lost atleast 4 players to graduation (Jones Brothers), transfers (Lopez), or other issues (Pryor). Gibbs has been a mediocre at best team for quite some time. They have a great freshman in Cade, but they should not have been able to play with Carter. Fulton has to be the most embarrassing loss. Not because Fulton is a bad team...everyone knows they are the best in East TN all classes...maybe in the entire state. However, Wilson only managed to score 11 points and no one else reached double figures. Not to mention they were dismantled. I for one thought Carter would be a much better team than they have proven to be thus far. After all Wilson and Bennett are one of the most talented duos in East TN. Pryor had 19 points and 10 boards against Carter. He had at least 7 of those in a crucial part of the fourth quarter to keep AE in the lead by a few.
  8. Turtle, he had 19 points and 10 rebounds in 15.5 minutes. I'd say that's playing quite a bit.
  9. We'll find out how good he is in a few weeks. The two exhibition games had terrible guards that he was matched up against. I want to see if he can stay with a good, quick guard defensively. He has played well so far though, and I hope he has a fantastic season. It's always nice to see a hometown player succeed at the big level.
  10. He's had a bad attitude for a while now and after his blow-up Saturday I think the right course of action was taken. I understand he had a terrible quarterback, but he can't explode like that.
  11. I was at the first Carter game when they played Hardin Valley. I will say that in order for Carter to win this game, they have got to get better O-line protection in the passing downs. You can have a fantastic run team, but if you can't throw it around a little bit other teams are going to just put 8 in the box and stop it eventually. Meady and #4 can fly and I think will score some. This game is going to be a defensive battle. I think the score will be low, like 14-7 or something. Should be a good one.
  12. Did he play at Anderson County? The name sounds familiar to me, but im not sure why.
  13. In one of his videos he was learning to drive a stick shift car, so that is where it came from. I think he got mad about it because the university made him take them off Youtube, and he might've taken the comment to be making fun of him for that. Doesn't make too much sense to me either. I agree with all of your comments. I thought Brandon Lopez struggled with his shot when he got in. Steele was the best out there by far. I thought Lester played with a lack of confidence, but that is understandable considering the competition. Tarwater didn't impress me at all, but in the one game I saw Hood play he blew me away with his talent. Like you said, it was too bad that Lester, Brandon, and the Tarwater kid all got on the same team that was already loaded with talent.
  14. Sophomore kid named Bennett from Carter will turn out to be a really good player
  15. Until Carter gets the best talent in the school playing for them and get enough quality players to where they don't have to play the same players on both sides of the ball it's going to be hard for them to beat a lot of the better teams.
  16. This will be a great way to showcase some of the talent from the area
  17. What about Anderson County? They are a fairly large school but I don't know if they are big enough to move up
  18. Anyone have any details on this game? Sounds like it was an intense one.
  19. Thank you. I feel that that is a fair way to do it.
  20. Do they do the pairing by a blind draw like basketball or how does it work?
