  1. Their defense isn't anything special - and they throw it well - and throw it a TON unless the running game is really going. But that also leads to INTs when you throw that much. They'll be a tough out if they take care of the football.
  2. To be honest I wasn't that concerned after the 1st half - confused, but not concerned. I was definitely surprised. You would have though Sawdy invented the slant route after the first half because that's all they ran and it was wide open everytime. Was even wide open beginning of the 3rd but Seamster made a GREAT play on the ball and recovered and picked it off. You knew Sawdy couldn't keep getting big plays like that and they were going to throw atleast a 1 or 2 more INTs when they're passing that much. I think the best part (other than Polk - to bad Benny wouldn't run him one more time for 300) was when #34 at DE celebrated by pounding his chest 2 or 3 times after a good play for a loss of yardage and the Sawdy fans all booed him for it. But I'm sure we're still considered the 'classless fans'. And what was up with the refs on the punt down at the 1-yard line early in the game? They made the call and change it literally 5 minutes later. Very confusing. Congrats Ooltewah on the Region Title.
  3. I got a good laugh out of this one... haha wow.
  4. I did see it. It didn't look like an insulting gesture. I can see how someone could interpret it as one though. That's understandable.
  5. Reread the context of my post in the other thread fsunoles since you decided to attack my post when I was defending your coach. The other Ooltewah fan was saying he was dissing Monroe and I said he had no reason to - as in I don't believe he did. They locked the thread so I thought you should know before you go off on a tangent that you read my post completely wrong. I thought it was a sign of I'm sorry or a sign of respect towards Monroe - just that one poster believed the opposite. And secondly, i'm not sure why you're trying to discuss the rest of Farragut's season in an Ooltewah thread?
  6. Your post is an embarrassment to your fan base and I know that's not how most of yall are up there. I have two cousins that graduated from FHS. Kinda ironic calling the Owls fan classless rednecks. You're accusing a kid you've never met or trying to hurt your QB in a BLOWOUT where the outcome is not in doubt. Seriously, go cry some more. You are a sad human being if you really believe all this - but I'm sure you're still upset after your team got dominated so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt for now. Wow - I cannot believe what I'm reading. You should be banned from all message boards and exiled from your fan base.
  7. The hit wasn't even close to the same.
  8. Those of us sitting right infront of the TV saw the exact same thing you saw as well dude. They were zoomed in on the coach the whole freakin' time he was being escorted out. Everyone saw the same thing - you're just interpreting what he meant by it differently than everyone else. He had NO reason to diss Monroe - he was upset at the officiating.
  9. Bullcrap. The one late hit got called. And both teams got flagged for unsportsmen-like conduct on one play. There was never any others.
  10. His helmet definitely was out there and was close to leading with it - but it looked like he made contact on his shoulder pads (near collarbone area) right below his helmet first - so it didn't really hit his facemask at all his head jerked back from being hit so high on the chest. I'm sure it touched his facemask after the INITIAL hit by the way his head went back but people get hit in the helmet all the time... but the top of his helmet knocked his facemask after he hit him high on the torso.
  11. You did actually. You said its a shame the refs had to get involved in what should have been a great game or whatever. And you don't act like you were expecting it if you felt the need to write a novel about them complaining on how poor of a job they did. I never bashed Monroe. I was one of the ones supporting him - I was critical of Reed's play (probably a bit too critical but that was due to the Monroe bashers getting under my skin). But 80 yards more than likely won't cut it deep in the playoffs if we're facing a good run defense so I hope he continues to progress - hopefully Norwood isn't too injured because he's one of the reason Reed managed the game well tonight. And I hope we see you again. You guys pass so much our DEs eat you alive unlike some of the opponents we've faced this year.
  12. He wasn't a world beater. He managed the game fine and didn't screw us over. He threw for about 80 something yards. He did what we needed him to do and nothing more. It would be nice for him to do even better, but he worked well tonight and played within himself and didn't force anything.
  13. I have no problem with you defending your coach. He went overboard tonight but I don't believe what the other fan said that he was dissing Monroe as he walked off the field. He seems like a good guy - but anger management could do him some good - he was trying to get physical with the refs but luckily his assistants were holding him back. But the paragraph in bold is just lame and pointless. Your team got smacked in the face, elbowed in the kidney, punched in the gut, kneed in the balls, and dragged through the mud several times to top it off. You were dominated in ALL aspects of the game tonight. Farragut never stood a chance. Don't freakin' blame the refs for ANYTHING that happened tonight. The game wouldn't have been great (as in remotely close) if you had brought in an NFL crew. You talk about losing respect for posters talking down to you coach, well you just lost tons of respect for trying to use the REFs as a cop out in a total, old fashion beat down. Pathetic. The only thing the refs did was maybe didn't call a late hit near the end preventing your team from getting garbage points and make the score seems somewhat respectable to those who didn't get to watch it.
  14. He didn't say anything he just made gestures so we saw it just as good as you did. He was zoomed in on when he was escorted out.
  15. What's OR record this year? And how have they done against the region teams other than Soddy tonight?
  16. Wouldn't matter if the game were called fairly or not. Ooltewah wins this game big with or without bad refs.
  17. I don't think that's what he was saying with the hand gestures. Atleast not according to the CSS announcers. They were saying he meant it was a sign of respect and it wasn't anything against Benny - just that he was sticking up for his players. That was my initial thought as well... but I'm not sure.
  18. Yeah - it was really their worst nightmare. They're coach went psycho and got himself ejected I guess after he thought his QB was roughed (didn't really see the play that well). Then the Farragut players in the huddle started pushing and shoving later on about to start a fight between each other down 31-3 in the last 12 minutes. They just couldn't do anything on offense.
  19. Total domination by the D-line tonight. Smith was a beast as usual and #34 had a good game as well. When we blitzed 1 or 2 LBs as well it was over. The QB was hit and hit hard so many times. And of course you won't be able to run against our defense. I think Farragut had 0 rushing yards until we put the backups in. We also picked off two passes from pressuring him so much (and several dropped ones right in the bread basket hah). On offense we scored so much off pinning Farragut deep and making them punt at their 20 and closer so we started on the 50ish most of the night and ran the ball well and Brady managed the game well (no picks and threw a nice TD pass). We had over 200 rushing yards tonight I believe. Polk was a beast with 2-3 TDs. We never really had a drive more than 50 yard or so I don't believe. Our longest scoring drive was around 3 minutes.
  20. Yeah - it was really ridiculous what some of the Monroe haters were saying. Did he call a bad game against Maplewood? Probably so, but part (a big part) of that was due to what he has on offense and the execution of his players. He was forced to keep running when there was nothing there because every time we stepped backed to pass something bad happened (not just on Reed - he was pressured a lot in that game and when he did throw a catchable pass the receivers let him down a few times).
  21. Is Sawdy this good? (I know they're decent atleast) Or is OR just really bad this year? Could be a good game in two weeks at Ooltewah.. they may put up a fight. We'll see how they do against Farragut.
  22. We had no offense in that game at all. Everything was out of sync and we couldn't pass at all so they did a really good job of stopping the run. And we screwed up on the game tying PAT. They scored due to our mistakes that game... bad special teams coverage and an INT I believe. But to Maplewood's credit - they had a really, really good run defense. And they fumbled twice in our territory so our mistakes about evened out (they were there all night though due to our crappy offense and bad field position).
  23. The defense has given up 3 points through 3 quarters to probably the best passing offense in the in the state or one of them. And the 3 points was due to a turnover... 2 INTs and atleast 3 dropped ones. And meanwhile the Farragut coach just got ejected after his QB was nailed about a hundred times.
  24. This is ridiculous. The defense has to be the best in the state.
  25. Wow - total domination by the Owls D-line tonight so far.. 21-3 at half?? And Gino Norwood makes Reed look really good with some of those amazing catches. Good field position is the key - don't think Ooltewah can put together drives more than 50 yards so its playing right into their hands so far. If Farragut throws a INT this could be over. Ooltewah has dropped several INTs. They're making the QB uncomfortable and he's thrown several bad passes.
