  1. All over the Country, from Sea to shinning Sea. We only recruit the biggest and the best. But Alcoa seems to have recruited a tad bit better than we have the last 7 years.
  2. The only thing I saw in the 2010 Alcoa vs Goodpasture game was Alcoa handing Goodpasture a major butt whipping. Goodpasture only had 5 penalties for 28 yards, which seems like they were 5yrd penalties and no 15yrd Penalties. OH WAIT, I FORGOT, THE REFS DIDN'T CALL IT IN THAT GAME EITHER. It's OK, if Sequatchie County would of beat GP last year, you probably wouldn't of come over to the Grundy vs Goodpasture thread and talk about how dirty they were. I will leave it alone and wish your Sequatchie County Indians the very best Friday night vs Harpeth. Maybe we will see each other in round #3!
  3. I remember being warned before the game started by a Sequatchie fan on the sideline fence that the Sequatchie Co player with dreadlocks(#2), had a very foul mouth and he would mouth-off most of the game. Our players were told to ignore him. Now Omniscience, still waiting on your reply about the Alcoa game. I have tapes of all the Championships and will go back and watch them. What year and quarter should I be looking for? Since you can recall the plays so well, this shouldn't take much time.
  4. What year are you referring to? I would like to go back and look at the personal fowls that "Good Pasture" received. If you are referring to the 2010 season, then Sequatchie Co had 3-27 and GP had 5-43. The Championship game in 2010 vs Alcoa, Alcoa had 7-54 and GP had 5-28. Or were you talking about the 2007 Alcoa vs Goodpasture champ game where Alcoa had 5-55 and GP had 5-32? I really don't know of these dirty games you are talking about, please give me dates and games so I can look up the stats, thanks. (and please don't reply with the refs didn't call them)
  5. If Goodpasture comes out extra, extra dirty, I say the score will be Goodpasture 49 - GC 10 If Goodpasture comes out pretty dirty, I say the score will be Goodpasture 41 - GC 10 If Goodpasture comes out a tad bit dirty, I say the score will be Goodpasture 38 - GC 10 If Goodpasture comes out fresh & clean, I say the score will be Goodpasture 42- GC 10 Dirty - dirty or so fresh & so clean, Cougars win this one big
  6. I give White House great credit, they were an excellent team and brought it all night long. Their defense held GP when they were 21-10, first and goal on the 3 yrd line. I thought GP was gonna take it to 28-10 and put the game out of reach for WH. But WH defense stepped-up, force GP to kick a field goal, blocked it and got right back into the game.
  7. I agree, I say CPA would beat WH by 21. You didn't seem that sure of yourself last week
  8. Alcoa, Maryville, Milan, South Pittsburg, Jo Burns, McKenzie to name a few do it year after year. Do you mind telling me how they actually recruit? What does the school say to the players, "we want you to come play for us so tell your parents it will start costing them $8,000-20,000 per year". I think you are getting mixed up by Division I & Division II private schools.
  9. If anybody wants to watch Blugrass Classic Game http://www.wazoosports.com/
  10. Here is a media guide if anyone wants to check it out 3A Media Guide GO COUGARS!!
  11. He argued with the Police officer for about 15 minutes in the parking lot after they threw him out. They should of put him in cuffs. But, that is usually one bad egg in every dozen. All the other Milan fans were top notch!
  12. What a great game. It looked like Goodpasture was gonna run away with it with the 28-0 lead but the Bulldogs fought back and made it a great game. The Cougars defense was just too much and they took advantage of the turnovers. Good luck next week Cougars!! Milan looks like they will be the team to beat next year. I hear they are very young.
  13. It seems this young lad is from Alcoa. A typical ignorant high-school student. I am glad to report that not all Alcoa fans are like that and most of them have a lot of class.
  14. A very good media guide to the game My link
  15. here is a link to the Tennessean article about the game!!! My link
  16. In 2005 when we played Huntingdon in the semi's at home, we had to bring the soccer bleacher to the end-zones. I have never seen that many people at Cougar stadium. Hopefully there will be record numbers of blue and purple!
  17. I myself would consider Goodpasture has more speed than size. Yes, we have a few big boys, but most are smaller and quick. Last Friday night, Pearl-Cohn looked like monsters compared to us. Here is a photo of one of our big guys #55 My link
  18. Or you could take away the PC interception on the 50 which PC ran to about the 10 then scored, or the missed Goodpasture FG from the 20 with 2 minutes left, the score could of been different. Could of, should of, would of. PC fumbled the ball cause GP defense knocked it out when he was tackled. Milan beat Camden and Goodpasture beat Pearl-Cohn. Now, we can all get back to the Milan vs Goodpasture game!
  19. I just love how every time Goodpasture wins a game, they never receive any credit for it. Its always how the other team beat themselves.
  20. I believe Milan lost before they would of played Goodpasture in 2005 & 2007 when the Cougars got spanked by Alcoa in the state championship game. Hopefully both Milan and Goodpasture play their best game Friday night and the winner will put up a better fight vs Alcoa compared the last few years at state vs Alcoa. But I'm pretty sure Alcoa is still a powerhouse this year so it will take a perfect game to give them a run for their money. I just hope the winner of GP vs Milan will bring home a gold ball this year. Good luck to both teams!!
