  1. These two teams have had bitter meetings. The first time we met Fairveiw was in 05, when Fairveiw's coach said "Camden is a good team, just not a physical one." Most of us know how this went, and now here we are again will the Jackets come out stingin or will OUR beloved LIONS continue to roar?? MY pick is Camden by two.
  2. It seems that things of this nature are occuring more and more often. I can remember my freshman year(04) nothing like this happened, but increasingly student athletes, but more importantly good people are dying in horrible situations. Tigers DOminate your right sir, kids should listen more these days, But Prayers are being sent up from Camden lions. Good luck to all teams this week.
  3. To put it simply Coach Ward has a saying "Other teams are gonna talk, but not us We will do our talking with our PADS!" IF a Camden player runs his mouth or is doggin the week's opponent and Coach Ward finds out, have mercy on that player cause he will be the tacklin dummy that week. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  4. So Camden is going East for sure is that right?
  5. I'm so tired of watchin my friends and former teammates losing to Goodpasture it's ridiculous. Last year was rough watchin them boys play so dang hard, and to come up shy 2 points. This year I feel will be different. I honestly feel these boys have a great shot at making the Semi's. Like L4E said, Camden willplay whoever and won't care about their record or Mascot, whether its Milan or THE Alcoa Tornadoes.
  6. Yes, Yes, I know all to well. 2004- First Round loss to Lewis Co. Camden 12- LC 13 2005- Quarter-Final loss to Huntingdon Camden 14 -Huntingdon 28 (I could be wrong, its been a few years since that game) 2006- The heart attack kids came to town. Chance to win the region at home against LC, but lost 1 TD I think. Quarter-Final loss to Goodpasture. Camden 7 - Goodpasture 27 2007- A Second-round loss to CPA. Camden 28- CPA 55 2008- A second-round loss to Goodpasture. Camden 24 - Goodpasture 26. LC's past is not to much unlike our own, so therefore when I said Lewis Co. was and is a GOOD team I knew what I was saying. I also know Camden's history fairly well, but after a few years your memory goes lol. I know many of the the FIRST time occurences at Wright Field, but I'll leave those for another day. Both teams were out in the second round last year, Milan put out our friends the Panthers in a hard fought game. I think this could be the year the Lions make it to the Semi's, but it all depends on whether we go east or if we go west. I gotta say I hope we go West.
  7. I have to totally disagree with this statement. Lewis Co. with Coach Sharp and co. is a GOOD team. I played against them four times in my career, and two of those were for a region title and we won the region my senior year. LC is TYPICALLY A TOP 10 team, and ALMOST ALWAYS a quarter-round team. The PAnthers are a very good team, you can throw them in with the likes of Camden, Milan, Huntingdon, Martin-Westveiw, etc. BTW just so there is no confusion, I am a 100% percent CAMDEN LIONS fan.
  8. Multiple plays that series right after he made the HUGE hit on the returner, he was involved on at least 3 tackles, and one was for a loss.
  9. Wow lots of bashin coming from both sides of the river, I like it /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />. Alright, Camden clearly has more athletes, and more experience overall. Waverly has a few their QB #1 is a soph., but he can play ball, their main targets from what I saw last night were 81 and 88 and both of these boys look good bt once again I think they are both soph. Number 37 on D is a head hunter, I saw him on a lot tackels last night as well. I will also say that the game last night was not very indicative of their full potential, due to the fact that they played Houston co. Next week Waverly faces a HUGE battle, Camden has been rollin since their loss Milan and I look for them to continue thier success. Camden in a HUGE way, and they take the Brdige this year again.
  10. Ok, I'm not implying anything with this next statement, BUT if SC has any players that take cheap shots (not earhole hits, but legit CHEAP SHOTS) you can bet Coach Ward has already talked to his hardest hittin, put your face in the dirt boys, and told them to hit the cheap shot delivering player as hard as possible as much as possible. I can remember many times when I heard Coach Ward ranting about cheap shotters, and he made darn sure that they knew if they did it against us they would pay for it. So SC IF yall have any tell them to keep their head on a swivel cause someone is coming to "Knock the Cowboy out of you" to quote an old friend /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />.
  11. lol sir I beleive you have your sports crossed Dale was NASCAR, and Earhart is High school football ha ha ha ha ha. I have a question to an SC fan and only an SC fan, Is Earhart a scrapper or is Rebelsstink just startin a rumor bout this young man bein in two fights this season? My next question is what kind of speed, size, and stats do your Receivers have against region opponents? I have been hearin a lot about how good the QB and WR's are over there. If yall's air attack is somethin similar to that of USJ then I would say Camden is in HUGE trouble, but if your passin game is more like Milan or HUntingdon then Camden has nothin to worry about. With the rain comin in this should become one heck of a slobber knocker, and the advantage stays with my beloved Lions. The run game is what Ward and Co. and his pride of Lions live for, so we'll see if they continue their success.
  12. Yall region 5 boys ain't tired of beatin on us yet lol. In all reality GP should be ranked their schedule is always tough. CPA and DCA should be ranked in there more than likely Region 5 is a tough one to compete in, a bunch of good football teams there. Other than that I'd say this looks pretty good.
  13. Camden takes this one with about as much difficulty as they had last year with the Rebels. Sorry SC yall can't say yall will win just cause yall beat Huntingdon. Yall beat Huntingdon 35 to 15, Camden beat them 38 to 7 so i'll leave it at that. I xay Camden by three td's plus.
  14. News flash everybody: I recently was talkin to some Northside students and they informed me that C. Mann will possibly play tonight so I reckon we'll find out here soon yall.
  15. Oh snap your right Lions4, thanks for the update ha ha. I reckon the sayin old habits die hard holds true, even for the young dogs in life huh /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> ha ha.
  16. I think I speak for everyone in Region 6aa when I say SC we've heard it before. Yall are the best, yall can play with anyone, yall even have a shot at winning the region /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" . I hate to be repetative but, Camden's schedule is not filled with 1a teams. Its filled with tough out of region teams, and our stats are still every bit as IMPRESSIVE as anyone's from West TN. It's one thing to put up 300 yards or whatever against a 1a school, do it against Milan, Huntingdon, Martin-Wesveiw, etc. and you will gain respect. Gaskin is every bit as good as Earhart, and if you don't think so well SC and anyone else who is a non-belevier will see how good he is very soon. I look for Camden to have many All-Region players, but I have been wrong before so we'll see. That being said GO BLACK & GOLD!!
  17. Well my first question is A'ville what happened yall played the class of the region Camden tough, and now debating whether yall can beat the Panthers which Camden struggled with but still beat them by 2 td's, Did players get injured or what? I think A'ville will win this one late I can't say a score, but I think they will pull it out, this one could be a Heart Attacker of a game. Good Luck Cards!
  18. Camden is playin their average ball still, but Northside is way down this year with the loss of C. Mann, so how does everyone see this one playin out??
  19. This thread has become totally useless. I mean SC is bashin Wavo, and visa versa. The way I see it is people need to stop talkin mess for their teams and let their team talk for them. If your team is as good as everyone says they will end up as victors, if not hey yall tried go home hit the practice field twice as hard and the next week come back and take no prisoners. That bein said everyone can stop the if's and what if's cause the reality is so far Camden is locked for first(this is obviously based on season so far, there are still 4 games to go), Waverly still has a chance to lock up 2nd seed(granted they have obstacles, but they can make it over these obstacles with proper work efforts), SC same goes for yall that applies to Waverly, Huntington can easily make 3rd seed, and Adamsville is still in the mix I believe. So it looks to me than in the next 4 weeks or so A LOT can happe, so Waverly stop lookin ahead and focus on the week at hand yall have enough to worry bout this week. SC same goes for yall so please Shut up. Good luck to Wavo this week.
  20. Huntingdon is down this year, but they also have new coaches, new offense, and it doesn't help that they are very young. Don't let the record fool you Tigers though, the Stangs are still a very worthy opponent. I personally think Waverly will pull this one out, but i don't think it will be by 3 td's 2 is a very good possiblilty Waverly i wouldn't expect a blowout, but who knows. In closing best of luck to both teams.
  21. I don't know much bout Hickman co. but, I'll support Coach Sharp and THE Lewis County Panthers anyday. LC go out friday night get another region win, and stay undefeated. Hopefully I will get the pleasure to watch yall play a West TN Team again this year. Best of luck to both teams, but lastly GO PANTHERSSS!!
  22. If USJ can hang with Milan then that means they can hang with Goodpasture, Lewis County, CPA, DCA, Camden, etc. etc., but the truth is USJ can't. Milan is by far the best team in 2a from West TN, and could beat any of these teams soundly. Usj I am not convinced yet, yes they are 5-0 but against who. Every team they have played they should have beat, yes HA had Marlon Brown but that's just one man. USJ has beat TCA (a mediocre 1a team this year, Humboldt (a sound team but still not anywhere close to Milan), Dresden (well I think we all know how the Lions are), and Briarcrest (a Good D-II team, but still not a 2a caliber team). Milan has the harder schedule IMO, and therefore the Bulldogs will be more prepared. Though Milan has many turnovers they still have an average margin of victoy 3 td's on even the CLASS of West TN teams. Milan Romps in this one, sorry USJ say goodbye to that undefeated record.
  23. I'm hearin lot of blowout scores, and as bad as i would love that I dont see it happenin. It very well could if we play like we did last week, but as of right now i say camden by 14.
  24. I'm sorry Redneck I must have forgot how your always right /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=". If I'm not mistaken there have been some fairly incredulous remarks come from your keyboard as well lol, but hey you can't help it. Camden takes this game, Historic Wright Field will be rockin Friday Night. Our letter boys better be the loudest from start to end. Hey Westveiw that was a rhetorical question bout the geniuses, we all know the answer ha ha.
  25. Ha ha ha ha Houston County lol lol lol lol the Semi-Fighting Irish ha ha wow Westveiw you keep me rollin /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />. Your Right Rednck has slock lost his mind lik eVince Young has, he's from wavo though and we all know what kind of genuises come from Wavo.
