  1. Not too bias there Westveiw ha ha. Huge rivalry this is gonna be tougher than everyone thinks. In this game records mean nothing, i'll save my pic for later.
  2. I've seen USJ play 2 games, I've also seen Milan play 2. So let's do some number crunching here: Milan record 5-0, USJ 5-0. Milan Points for: 210 points against: 74, USJ points for: 202 points against:108 Teams Played in top 10: Milan: 2, USJ: 0 Yards per Game: Milan: 677, USJ: 425.6 Milan has my pick, not just based on these numbers but I just dont think USJ will have the ability to play with Milan for 4 whole quarters. I think Milan will beat the Bruins by 2 plus touchdowns, and I cant say an exact score because of the explosiveness of both teams.
  3. 1) Camden- Over the past few seasons Camden has emerged as the "Class" of this region. 2) Huntingdon- Always a Region COntender. 3) Adamsville- Definately a HUGE improvement over the past few seasons. 4) Waverly- Returning to how they looked in 06-07 season. 5) Stewart- Down a little from last year, but they have the potential to move up close to 3rd or 4th. 6) Riverside- Tough team, just ain't sure they will beat the top 3 teams. 7) Houston County- Sorry yall try again next season. This is how I see it scheming up. Camden and Huntingdon will obviously be the Mountians in this region for everyone. I beleive Waverly is still a little behind the Cards, and the game between the Tigers and the Cards will be a full game battle maybe longer. Waverly and SC have GOOD chances to round out 3rd and 4th seeds, but if the Cards keep playing the Way they did last week No Way will Waverly or SC beat them. I don't see Riverside beating Huntingdon or A'ville. The dreaming has conflicted with the reality of the material displayed for everyone, so let's stop the dreamin.
  4. My Apologies to Sportsguy. How could I have forgotten that game, it was Marqui(spelling) Guy's senior year and what a year that was. I want to say the final was like 48 to twenty somethin, your right Lions4 it was ugly. We even have some laughs lookin back on that game. This will be the fourth consecutive meeting between these to then hmmm, Camden needs to get this one then to at least make the record 1-4 against Westveiw.
  5. I beleive you are mistaken sir I was on that team, and we never played Westveiw. IDK the earliest meeting between these two teams, we did scrimmage each other during the summer camp of 04 at Bethel. As far as an actual scheduled season game the earliest I remember is 06.
  6. So far this one looks best, with the exception of USJ much too high. This week will begin their real testing playin Briarcrest, Milan, then Westveiw. This is a very realistic look at how things are lining up though.
  7. Well sir my reply to that is we attepmted one in late in the fourth against them, and I just remembered there was one attempt int the Milan game of last year as well I beleive it was in the first half. But those are past games, he's lookin good this year and I HOPE HIS SUCCESS continues.
  8. Well sir that is correct, but we did attempt a few tries last year. I know they did against Northside, but hey after last year's POOR kicking attemspts I can understand why. I hear ole' Danni k is much improved though. Thanks givin us your vote for the win Westveiw /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />.
  9. Quite a while??? Quite an understatement in two games Westveiw has beat Camden both times. The first meeting was 6-7 at Martin, last year Westveiw came back from 32-7 to win by one. I look for Camden to pull this one out though, by one TD maybe a TD and a Field goal. This will be a heck of a test for both teams, though and Camden has to make the hour drive.
  10. Wow, it seems of late our lions' have been comn out flat in the first half and pickin it up in the 2nd. This needs to be fixed and i'm sure as time progresses it will, but wow 14-12 at the half. A'ville keep workin seems good things are goin on over there, and boy are we lions fans glad to hear it ha ha. Sounds like it was a great game, A'ville good luck on the rest of your season. Camden rest up, and come in to practice ready to work on Monday cause we got a tough matchup next week in the form of Martin- Westveiw.
  11. Sounds may hit it up before the game, and contribute to the cause as well, oh yeah 1 MORE DAY till game time.
  12. 1) ALCOA- As if it wasn't obvious 2) Milan- The most dominate team in 2A from West Tenn. 3)Tyner/Boyd Buch.- I've been hearin good things bout both of these teams 4) Tyner/Boyd Buch. 5)GP 6)Lewis Co. 7)Camden 8) Gat. Pitt. 9) Smith Co. 10) Huntingdon I realize my opinion ain't much, but this is how i see it.
  13. Thanks bulldawgs, idk why i said 7 I knew that. I should hit myself in the head for that one, but yes 4 was who I was speakin of and you answered that for me as well.
  14. Now why you gotta go and say somethin like that for ha ha. I remember that game it was the last game of my high school career, and I know for a fact that the final score 55-28. The first half was like 35 -0 or so, and we put all of our points up in the fourth quarter. I gotta admit that CPA was the real deal that year. USJ is much improved, but to say they can HANG with the likes of MILAN, Huntingdon, Martin-Westveiw, Camden, Goodpasture, CPA, etc. etc. is absolutely a FANTASY by anyone who thinks they can. The new QB is Jake Overby, and yes he is good but he is surrounded by players who make him look good as well. THey have two pretty good receivers considerin one is a sophomore, and one is a junior. They are getting better though, but I don't beleive they're ready for the big boys just yet.
  15. My first question is where's Husker with hsi outlandish predictions? I mean just cause Milan didnt beat Camden 56-7 like he kept sayin, doesn't mean he should quit now right lol. I digress though, this is a huge rivalry between to say the least so both teams will come out firin on all pistons. After watchin Milan this past friday blast Camden through three quarters(probably should have been for 4 quarters really, but they made some costly mistakes) my pick is quite securely in their hands. Jabronski Gilbert, J.W. Williams, and the QB are GREAT athletes. BTW who is number 7, and what grade is he cause he made some NICE catches friday as well. Humboldt yall better be able to keep up a fast pace all night with 0 STARTERS crampin up if you wanna stay in this one. Another side note, THESE BOYS HIT HARD!! Camden had one player to leave the game in the 2nd quarter due to neck injury, and another one left due to a broken nose but he returned after a few minutes. Yall wwill have to be the most physical, and the smartest team on the field if you wanna win this one. Good Luck both teams.
  16. Well everyone has their opinion /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />. I won't say a winner in this one, the last time Camden thought they would win big in the A'ville 2004 we lost by a TD.
  17. I gotta agree with ya buster that was an awkward call, and I'm from Camden. I didn't even know it was illegal to help the runner LOL /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  18. Is it just me or does this day seem to keep draggin on!! In a matter of hours the lights at Historic Wright Field will be turned on, both RESPECTABLE teams will come out and take their pregame warm-ups, then its time FOR KICKOFF BABY!!!! Milan, hope yall have a safe trip to Camden, and once your there just enjoy our hospitality lol. This is gonna be one Heck of a game, cant wait to see the stands fill up. Better get there early, but above all GO BIG BLACK!!! /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  19. Football Division I Class AA ending Friday, Sep. 12 Based on 23 ballots cast. Rank Team Record Points 1 Alcoa 2-1 210 2 Milan 2-0 135 3 Smith County 3-0 116 4 Tyner Academy 3-0 105 5 Boyd Buchanan 3-0 105 6 Goodpasture Christian School 2-1 90 7 Lewis County 3-0 83 8 Camden Central 2-0 79 9 Gatlinburg-Pittman 3-0 55 10 Westmoreland 3-0 54 11 Loudon 2-1 46 12 York Institute 2-0 46 13 Christ Presbyterian Academy 1-1 33 14 Westview 2-0 26 15 Sequatchie County 3-0 26 16 Christian Academy of Knoxville 1-2 23 17 Dresden 0-3 16 18 University School of Jackson 2-0 16 19 Houston County 0-3 11 20 Huntingdon 0-2 11 No offence to the two teams in Bold, but how in the WORLD DID THEY MAKE top 20???? I also realize this just an AP poll, but still this is ridiculous people.
  20. Bulldog I think everyone from Camden knows how classy Morris is. I int never heard him say a single cocky thing in all my years of paying extreme attention to high school ball. Not to mention when we visited yall's place last year, all of the Milan fans were very classy folks. So in other words dont pay this guy no mind lol. Hey Husker bring all the shirts you want to but your just wasting your money. Ain't one person from Camden gonna let some purple mix into our BLACK & GOLD ha ha /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> . However, if we meet in the playoffs bring a BUNCH we'll need some stuff to start a fire with /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  21. I aint heard anything bout either of these teams can someone shed some light for me, please.
  22. Your right Rcombs. I didnt make last week, but I heard it wasn't our best performance. I beleive the Warden will have our Young Lions ready for this HUGE game. Can't wait for Friday the excitemnet is vastly approchin yall. GO LIONS!!
  23. That is absoluely amazin. This post captures every emotion a senior athlete faces, and it just describes how much any player that truly LOVES thier sport feels. I graduated goin on three years ago now, and i still go to every game of my hometown team the Camden Lions. I still get that nervous fellin in my stomach sometimes when they face Milan, Huntingdon, Lewis County, Goodpasture, and a few others. Youngtiger thanks for sharin this with all of us again.
  24. I have seen both teams play(in Jamborees of course, no full games have i witnessed). IMO which aint much probably, Milan has the upper hand in Speed. This Camden team is young on D, but very physical, and the linebacker corp is gonne be tough as usual. However, on the same token Milan has got to where they are through Physical play and SLOBBER-KNOCKER defense. This will easily be the Game of the Week in Tennessee. I look for this to be the toughest games the Lions will see all regular season, by long shot. I also think Milan will walk away having all they wanted from our Lions. To say a score for this game is IMPOSSIBLE, cause both of these team's O is electrifying. For Milan the saying of "speed kills" holds true they are PS3 fast in the backfeild, and specialty areas. For Camden the saying "be the hammer not the nail" is gonna continue to ring true cause physical play and smart play will be crucial in this one. Both Bulldogs and Lions alike have a task ahead of them this week in region games. Both teams need to go out take care of business, and come in Monday- Thursday ready to work. Milan best of luck this week, dont run the score up on them TOO bad lol. Camden go out and continue to take care of business. Till next yall have fun Friday night. P.S. LIONS1 YOU TRULY ARE AN IDIOT, so DO US A FAVOR AND SHUT UP!!!
