Covington beat yall before CC got their wheels under them, so you "must" win against DC to make sure you do make the playoffs. its too bad yall had so many difficulties to overcome early in the season. you are very much in tune now with all your players playing with the Heart of "Lions". Sad but True concerning DHS student/ fan support the Past Several years has Dimished. It has always been DHS Fan Support of we"re winning / ahead BIG the support is there ,HOWEVER if we get behind or its close they are MUM AND NIL !! Its Not a Community Thing Anymore. Im very Disappointed in DHS Student Partcipation. Not any SCHOOL Spirit or Support WHATSOEVER . One would think the students woud come to the games but its mostly adults / die-hard fans. Im also under the impression that Most of DC fans (were first-time commers for the DHS game ) have Not been at their games Till friday night, but now their playing for the Region title and in the playoffs they show up !! NOT so unusal for any teams that dont win year in year out ,But DHS has won YEAR IN YEAR OUT SO ITS HUM-DUM TO THEM "TILL" THEY ADVANCE FAR INTO THE PLAYOFFS. Covintgon,Haywood,Ripley fans are Non-existant too. Now take Crockett ,Milan, Huningtdon Westview ITS stiill a community affair and the fans are there .Its a wait and see attitude for Team support Unless you live in a smaller community!! First and Foremost the Main Objective is to Win Your Game = One at a Time and let the chips fall where they may. Regardless the Choctaws are playing 4 games at Home Should they Continue to Win. #1 DC will play #4 Trezevant 1-4 record in Region 8-3AAA play. DHS will play # 3 Hillcrest. Haywood will play loser of Sheffield/Mitchell at Memphis.. # 4 (Covington as of today) Ripley or Crockett Region 7-3AAA will play Sheffield / Mitchell winner also in Memphis. All these Memphis teams are very big,strong,fast,pass a ton. As in our region any can beat the other on any given night, altho Sheffield / Mitchell appear to be 2 tds better than Hillcrest or Trezevant . As Ive stated the Road Only Gets Tougher Each Week During the Playoffs. I will also remind the Choctaw-Nation they DONT mind coming to your house to play as for one game during the season they get to play in front of a packed house! They Will TEST EVERY FIBER WITHIN YOU. All of these teams Will like Nothing Better than to Upset your season , DONT take Any of these teams LIGHTLY or They Will End your Season = REMEMBER DHS 2005 !! Should the Chocs win game one in playoffs they will play lower seeded winning team Covington,Ripley,Crocckett or Haywood/ Sheffield Mitchell games in game two . In responce about the TROJANS entrance it wasnt the same as usual . With the field being so wet the Boss Hogs werent allowed on the field Used track towards the DHS side only. Not quite the spectular show as normal. The DC crowd was loud (I sit on that side as i have for 40+ years as it use to be the homeside) but if the Hogs had been allowed on the field it would have been AS AWESOME as always. I want to be the first to congrat the Choctaws on a fine effort coming out with the Big win as region Champs. Now they must keep up the intensity, desire if they are to succeed in the playoffs.
