Gibbs had a few turn overs, but what really hurt was the slow start. Cosby scored all there points in the first half. The last TD for Cosby came with about 30sec. before the end of the half on what looked like a blown coverage by the secondary. All these problems can be fixed.

I was just wondering what everyone thought about the new head coach. It seemed like alot of coaching changes this year. So how did your new head coach do on week 0?

I was at the Gibbs game last Friday and I saw a team with heart. They are young and missing some key players. Coach Conley and his players will have to work hard, but I believe they can turn things around this weak.(if they make some changes) This game is very important for Gibbs. A sign of a good coach is bring his team back from a heart breaker and having them ready for there next game. I expect it to be close. Gibbs----24 Scott----22

It was a great show with alot of excitement. It took alot of work by boosters to pull this off. So I take my hat off to the ones behind the scene, great job!!!!!

All good head coaches will surround himself with good assistant coaches. It really sounds like CAK is doing a great job and is headed in the right direction. Thank you for the info, now when I watch CAK play I will look for those coaches and wish nothing but the best for them. ....those are some really great names and good men. Thank you.

I would like to know who thinks they have the best assistant coaches. The coach behind the head coach. The one who makes his head coach better. With out him the head coach would not be as good. Keep it with in the KIL...PLEASE

I really think the football players at Gibbs believe in coach Conley. If they put the best 11 FOOTBALL PLAYERS on offense and defense out there to play Cosby, then Gibbs will win.

I heard Brad Conley has put his name in for the job. Has anyone else heard this?

I understand and you could be right. I believe good coaches that know how to win breed good assistant coaches that also know how to win. Look at the great coaches and how most of there assistant have gone on to become good head coaches. I believe that a head coach coaches his player, but also is a teacher to his assistants. You know I've been hard on this staff, but if you look at game prep., the week before they play, you will see that the effort to win from the coaches is not there week in and week out. This in turn carries down to the kids. The week before Gibbs played Catholic the effort from the coaches could be seen, because it was coach Carroll's last game. They worked hard that week and it showed on the field. I also seen weeks where the coaching staff felt like all we had to do to win is show up .(Pigeon Forge and others)So how well did the teacher teach the assistants? We have great kids and we have coaches that care about most of the kids, but I really do not believe these coaches know anything deferent then what they have been taught. I do think some of these assistant can make a good head coach if they get the right teacher.

WOW!!!! that's good, look at him. He is so good. The way you use those big words, you must be proud. Are you a coach? Why do you & intheloop attack every blog that you disagree with. Tell me what you would like to see happen to the Gibbs program or are you satisfied with the way it is.

Here is another problem that I would like to bring out. I know there is one coach on staff at Gibbs that has applied. I also have heard he has the inside advantge. He has a brother that plays on the team. This could make him the front runner. He is really pushing for the job and I have always felt the administration will take the easy way out. History show they do not like to rock the boat. I will be shocked if anyone gets it from the outside. FUMBLE!!!! That is why so many people are pushing for new blood or it will be the same old same old.

QBdad, I don't understand where she got that from.........sorry. I've been out of town for a few days. It appears to be quiet around here for the most part. I have heard that Gibbs is having a good response, about 9 apps. I have not seen or heard any names. Does anyone know if the guy from CG applied? To me he looks like a good replacement. I hope I didn't offend anyone by saying that....OH!..I almost forgot how does he look, to some that is very important. I would say what I think we need to have as a coach, but that would mean my son can't play, he is lame and I'm gay, but I do know one thing, I am no stink up or brown noser. I hope the administration picks someone who can turn it around.
