How did the CPA and FRHS scrimmage go last night?

MBA was able to scrimmage against Independence last night in the monsoon. BigG was correct, for all its shortcomings, a turf field is a real positive with the weather our area has experienced the past few weeks. BTW, MBA walloped Independence 5-0...with the weather playing such a large role in the game I do not think the score line is an accurate indicator of the comparative strengths of the teams.

Yes, I am ready for some agreeable temps! My son Alex, who plays for MBA, is to be out of town and will miss the Friday game but I may attend and will be sure to say hello.

I am a MBA loyalist and the team, led by Junior Will Emerson, is shaping up. In last night's scrimmage MBA tied Franklin HS 1-1. MBA controlled possession against FHS (they lost tons of seniors) but gave up a late goal when Coach Cheevers cleared the bench. I thing Baylor in the East and Christian Brothers in the West are the teams to beat. I am looking forward to reading your comments on FRHS. On paper they should be rebuilding but they ave had our number the last few seasons.

MBA and Franklin HS got a game in last night.... 1-1 tie but good to see the boys on the pitch.

MBA is playing well but that have yet to face FRHS or Baylor. They tied last Friday at McCallie in a match that they should have won. FRHS has strong senior-laden leadership even without Tanner. They had their #1 goalies expelled from school earlier this year and they have suffered some injuries in the early season. I do not know much about the West teams except that CBHS has game.

futbol20 you are spot on. BWSC picked up 4 TNFC coaches including the MBA coach. I have also heard that there is a struggle integrating IMPACT's 'win at any cost' teams into the DOC's new 'Academy' philosophy. Personally, I am torn because I hate to see any club struggle. However, I do think consolidation would be good for middle Tennessee clubs and players in State and Regional competition. East TN and West TN seem to be ahead of us is this regard.

Does anyone know the time and location of the Saturday May 17th MBA v Fr. Ryan match? Thx
