  1. To date mine are from the east/middle 1. MBA 2.EHS 3.Baylor 4.BA 5.Ryan 6.McCallie 7.BGA 8.JP2 How are your predictions Bluemom?
  2. I try to keep up with the other D2 teams and did read that Baylor's QB is UTC's son. Their QB from last year was just a freshman then. The coaches son sounds like he is off to a great start. I also have to agree that Baylor's campus and field is hands down the prettiest around. With the mountains and rivers it is an incredible site. I know I am partial but MBA is next. Im still holding out judgement on the FHS game because I dont think that was a "classic" Franklin team, but regardless... I don't think anyone outside of the BGA locker room gave them much of a chance against Baylor the past few years so it should always be a good game. I think if Williams is healthy Baylor has a noticeable edge. Though the biggest factor iin this game is Baylor's line. BGA stopped the FHS duo in part because of a solid scheme, but also Franklin's offensive line was considerably smaller than the DII norm. If Baylor is as good as the first two games indicate, I can see Baylor winning by at least 14. But BGA could easily pull this out. Good luck guys. Oh, and Baylor's place is the BEST in the state. No questions. Hands down. Baylor (without Williams) ??? BGA ??? toss up, as close as the past two years Baylor (with Williams) 28 BGA 17

  4. I think Baylor is alot closer to the top of D2 than their ranking. Seems to be a very talented group of athletes. I see Baylor winning by a 31-14 margin over BGA.
  5. What an emotional game last night. Only to be followed up by the Ensworth game. Should be a tremendous game as well. MBA will pull this one out (going with my heart) by a touchdown.
  6. I would just like to congratulate the boys and girls golf teams from Baylor. I have never seen the domination by one team in golf ever and it is just amazing. The Baylor community has alot to be proud of with you success.
  7. If the QB situation is like you said that would be extremely difficult for Baylor to start a freshman that has not played? Must be an injury if it really is the case. I will be pulling for Baylor to end the streak the year. We (MBA) had a very hard fought game at Baylor this year...winning 14-7. I love going to their campus. Great fans, atmosphere and beautiful setting. Baylor 21 McCallie 14
  8. Interesting post. It has been very obvious to me and your "outsider" post just confirmed what I have known. MBA 24 Ensworth 14
  9. I remember when MBA played Baylor last year that they had a ton of injuries all year and they did not recover from that. I try to keep up with D2 teams beside MBA also and I remember that they tried to rely too much on the coaches son Tyler Massey. I agree that no matter how talented someone is you can't give the ball to them "all" the time. So, after seeing the MBA and Baylor game this year....this Baylor team plays more like a team. That happens when you do not try to make a "star" out of one player. That running back of Baylor's is just great. I think the Baylor and BA game will be pretty close. Still think BA wins.....but maybe the Red Raiders will pull the upset. But I will say BA 17 Baylor 14. Good luck to Baylor!
  10. Last year was a down year for MBA. McCallie beat us as you said last year as Baylor did also. McCallie lost alot to graduation it seems, Baylor has lost a ton to injuries this year. But this is not the same MBA team as last year also. I don't think this will be a close game at all. MBA should win easily. Let's say 3 touchdowns. Go Big Red!
  11. Don't be too cocky....it does not matter that you are 5th now...only matters after Friday night. I look for Baylor to upset Webb and put Webb out of it.
  12. True but really the big mistakes were on Baylors side. They had 3 turnovers to 0 for McCallie. My point is with as many players as they are down you just can't make those mistakes and come out on top usually. Those were killers. As for penalties there are always questionable penalties on both sides. That goes with the territory. Baylor was penalized for more yards as well. Go MBA!!!
  13. A buddy of mine in Chattanooga watched the game on tv and it must have been an exciting game. But from all I have heard and read Baylor made the crucial mistakes and should have won. Which is pretty amazing with all the injuries that they have. Throwing an interception when you are inside the 10 yard line. I think they had at least 3 crucial turnovers. Also I have heard that they kept giving it to the qb at the 1 and that he was limping all night. That is a puzzle considering their running back ran thru the defense on that last drive. Give it to your big back and let him go over the top...thru the middle. From what I have read now Massey is also out of the lineup for a few weeks. You can't make that many mistakes and get away with it. We will be in Chattanooga in a few weeks to visit McCallie!
  14. Question. Since D2 AA has been restructured does anyone know how many teams will make it to postseason play. For the both divisions?
  15. Will be at the big MBA game tonight. But good luck to Baylor as well. Hope you guys take it to McCallie.
  16. Can't wait for tonight. The Big Red will roll by let's say....10. GO BIG RED!
  17. Give who a break. Any educated sports fan would know that losing 4 starters would hurt any team. Please give me a break. Hope Baylor wins tomorrow night. Go MBA.
  18. MBA should win this one by 2 touchdowns. Setting up MBA and BA....can't wait.
  19. No disrespect .... but this will not be close at all. MBA by a bunch.
  20. I agree with you and think Baylor will give MBA all that they can handle. They have some real quality athletes at Baylor. I would like to see an upset....but will go with BA by 4.
  21. Except for Brentwood Academy...McCallie has not played a tough opponent. Playing a 1st year high school from South Carolina that they beat handily will not help them I don't think. I see Father Ryan beating McCallie in a close game.
  22. I was at the MBA vs Baylor game and I know at least 3 and maybe 4 Red Raiders went down to injury. They did not come back in the game. At least 2 of them came pretty early in the first half. Hope they are ok.
  23. Well McCallie did not make the adjustments...maybe because they couldn't. From what I have read they were completely whipped by BA. And sure you don't have dog in the hunt. You are just a McCallie person running Baylor down when you can and pretending not to be from McCallie. And we'll just see later in the season if you are as good as MBA...can't wait. Baylor was just undersized to MBA but their players and fans were classy. Something you might try to pick up on. GO BIG RED!
  24. Wow McCallie guru I looked at the McCallie vs BA thread and saw nothing from you on there. Interesting that you put your thought into Baylor and not McCallie. Anyway I don't put alot of belief into jamborees. Only one quarter and sometimes it takes more than that for a team to get in the groove. They don't even kickoff, etc so you don't even get a perpective for the full game but whatever. Baylor was a very sound team last year and it sounds like they are better this year...or time will tell. We had a very disappointing season last year but have alot of high hopes for this year. I am still sticking with my heart on this one. MBA 28 Baylor 25.
