  1. cross country predictions?
  2. this is the A-AA thread, dude! come on. no D-II or AAA discussion can occur here by definition.
  3. its losing. not loosing. way to lose even more respect. dang. gotta take out that hooked on phonics, bruh!
  4. micah wasserman of MLK- 8:30
  5. did you run the 800 at state? 5th i think?
  6. we'll see what happens next season
  7. i asked him about it. he said hes run the dam. he also said he hadnt run a 5k in over 16 minutes since he turned 10
  8. well by the time track rolls around he'll be 14. and he didnt run cross country because- and i quote- he "didnt feel like it." he tells me hes been trying to break 13:45 on his own, though. he can't quite get it apparently. i should tell you thats on a track though. so at steeple itd be a bit slower. you know. maybe a 14:00? 14:10?
  9. well if youre giving me credit then when you run the 4:00 i get to go stand on the podium and get the medal right? and ya. hes a speedy kid. only 14, too. well, he'll be 14 in 2 months.
  10. oh i was not doubting your sub 4:30 potential at all. in fact my Matt Coniglio Preseason Prediction is 4:00 for the 1600. i was just pointing out that despite ryans and johns potential, they will have a combined time of about 4:30.
  11. ive got no idea. our top returning 800 runners are me and austin williams. he was injured last year but has gone 2:02. weve got some other guys who have 2:05 potential including ryan graves and john gilpin but have yet to actually do it /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> . i will also tell you that we have a new freshman this year who ran a 1:49 at his old school in kenya. those are just some times, though, not necessarily the team. i dont even know if we will try for a competitive team this year. we dont have the depth that we had last season.
  12. If you break 4:30 you will beat the Ryan Graves/John Gilpin combo in the MLK 4x8 /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  13. hey dont worry about the 1,2,3 thing, Loren. we won state this year so there is no need to come back in '09. the MLK varsity cross country team will be seeing if we can get volleyball to go coed so we can join. if not we will be joining the hume-fogg ultimate frisbee team. by the way, Loren, i'm Micah Wasserman. im sorry i didnt introduce myself on saturday- i was intimidated by you after i ran a 17:2x (i dont remember exactly. trying to forget.) congratulations on an awesome and unanticipated performance at state! and i know theres this talk of my 800 and yes i did run a 1:45 and yes it was on steeplechase and yes it was barefoot and yes i was wearing ankle weights but i have decided to not rejoin the MLK track team. i have arranged to join the Macon County track team where i will take Brandon and Stevens place as the 3200 and 1600 runners for the team while they compete in shotput, discus, and the 100.
  14. thats right, coach. its all about the JJs. as far as you are concerned xcmustangs11, you are bumming me out. harshing my mellow.
  15. did i run a 1:58 800 at steeplechase barefoot? absolutely i did.
  16. blake edwards will never break 50 in the 400. no matter how hard he tries. he will also never move up from 4th board on the MLK chess team. matt, congrats on a great season! it was an honor seeing you again yesterday. and ya i'll run a 1:55. brandon will have finished 2 seconds earlier though. but you know what? as long as i'm losing to brandon mahaney its cool. he's so nice after races that i don't even mind losing to him anymore.
  17. ATTENTION ALL A/AA RUNNERS come support your fellow a/aa team, MLK there will be a fundraiser for the MLK cross country team at mlk on may 9 at 3:30-5:30. this fundraiser will be in the form of a face-melting rock show starring none other than the coach of the team, stephen dorris, professor of Rocktology. the show will be featuring several members of the team including nick winn playing guitar hero and stephen wathen on lead cowbell. aside from aiding mlk, all in attendance will receive a credit in rocktology, a latest requirement for most schools in the country
  18. can anyone fill me in on the course usjc was on? was it fast or slow in relation to steeple? and the moss park or whatever course seems to have been fast- those station camp times looked pretty good
  19. did usjc have their region meet? i assume its the same day if so, anyone have times?
  20. think these results will reflect the results at region? not the times which as was already said were pretty darn slow, but the places? (mlk, dl, fra)
  21. what were the results at metro?
  22. arent too many sophomores who wouldnt be pleased with those times (thanks for the link to the times coniglio!). may not be enough to beat dl though. as of now, any educated guesses as far as state results could go?
  23. looks like mlk got a lot of prs there. times are bound to be slower on steeple though. seems like usjc and dl are pulling ahead of them?
