I heard some disturbing news this weekend that I hope is not true. I was told after spring practice that Central only has 27 players out for football. 27??? Are you kidding me??? Please tell me this is not true!!!

How could anyone not want to play for Coach Malone?

No heart and not being dedicated is the same thing. What I'm saying is the kids who are playing have heart and dedication or they wouldn't be out there.

Easy now. Just because the talent is down doesn't mean they don't have heart. No coaching??? Are you kidding me??? This staff just happened to come along when the "well went dry."

The dedication is there the kids or talent however is not. The winning seasons of 07, 08, and 09 were the result of very good talent that Central hadn't seen in many years and I'm afraid it may be many more. With the exception of Wyatt Barnett who does Central have that can make a difference on Friday nights?

I'm afraid the early and mid 80's have come back to Central. In other words, alot of 0 and 10 or 1 and 9 seasons. I said it last year and I will say it this year, Central MIGHT beat Sweetwater, Meigs, or Sequoyah and that's it. The talent level has bottomed out something fierce. Hopefully I'm wrong but I doubt it.

For those of you in the Polk drilled Central just like Alcoa did so Polk can play with Alcoa argument allow me to shed some light. Against Polk, Central had 15 penalities for 180 yds along with 2 turnovers and a safety. Against Alcoa, Central only had 3 penalities and 0 turnovers. Whats my point you ask? Polk did nothing but sit back and watch Central self destruct. Central beat Central not Polk. Do you people think if Central only had 3 penalities and 0 turnovers Polk would still have won in a blowout? If you do your red kool-aid is stronger than our blue kool-aid. Im not saying Polk would not have won but the game would have been much closer. Against Alcoa, Central may have played one of its better games of the year and still got blown away. But then again they did play an F5.

Nicely said 4Warriors. I will toss out that I think you meant to type 53 players including freshmen as opposed to 43. Well your 53 is more than our 40 and we may not have that many. This also includes our freshman.

Haven't seem them in a while, but they had a lot of players going both ways earlier in the year. Depth seemed to a problem for them, especially on the offensive line. I heard a rumor that A. Walker and Ragland had been put into the rotation on the offensive line. Any truth to that Charger fans? Ragland played some o-line against Sequatchie.

Are you kidding me? Have you picked up a Chatt. Times lately? It seems to have an article on Polk football almost every week. Everything from offense to defense or what Coach Davis had for breakfast. Furthermore, I promise you every team you have played or are gonna play respects you. Some of the fans may talk trash on this board but thats just the nature of the beast. Polk County may just be the most respected team in the Chatt. area. Especially by the coaches because of the simple fact that even in your "down" years you are still hard to beat. Pay no attention to what the "knuckleheads" like to say on this board you are well respected.

Calm down smokey. I was told by a Central coach that Central and Sequatchie could play in week 10 and then meet in the first round if every thing goes as it should. Week 10 winner would determine home team in first round.

I dont think they kicked Moss off, I believe he left on his own (play off game). I hope both of them come back because they both would be a vital part of the team.

I just talked to the front office and tickets go on sell at 6 and the gates open at 6. Keep in mind that is EST. For what its worth, 10 minutes before tipoff of last years game there was plenty of seats left but with you being the visitors you are gonna be crammed into one corner of the gym so be prepared. Also, its supposed to be in the 70's Sat. so it will be HOT inside the gym. Just a friendly word of advice.
