  5. Perry Co Wayne Co Collinwood Scotts Hill Hickman Co East Hickman Richland Mt Pleasant Maybe Loretto
  6. Perry County High School will be hosting a lineman competition on April 25th, 2009. This will be a great opportunity to get your Big Men some recognition. The competition will consist of 5 individual events: Bench Press, Power Clean, 40 yard Dash, Power Ball throw, and the Shuttle run. There will also be 2 team events: the Sled Drive and the Tug-o-War. Awards will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Team awards will be given as well. There are 10 teams that have committed to the competition. However, Coach Harrison is still looking for teams to compete. If you would like to enter your team or get more information on the event, please contact Coach Harrison at 931-994-2379. The Public is also welcome to come and enjoy a great day of competition.
  7. I think the Middle School Coach did a good job this year. He's First year being an Head Coach, and he won 3 games with kids running a new system. It's always nice to win, and noone wants to lose, but Middle School Football is a learning tool. it helps prepare kids for High School Football. Its not always about wins and losses, its about teaching and making the kids better. That is something I think Coach Wright has definitely done with this team.
  8. pc defeated cornersville 53-29 tonight pc defeated cornersville 53-29 tonight
  9. Did the guy from waverly also mention that PC had went 20 plays offense/defense with the third team at the scrimmage, before waverly ever stepped on the field? what imean is that on the first series against waverly, PC did look bad, but it was partly due to the fact that they were tired and waverly was fresh. the next series aganst waverly was a different story. waverly and PC played a 2-1 game with waverly on top. but it was closer than the first series showed.
  10. I'm not sure how the game will turn out, but it should be a good one since both teams run similar offenses, add to that cornersville is fighting for a playoff spot and PC is fightin fot thier first win and get some chips off thier shoulders from that Zion game!! sounds like the ingredients for a great game to me!
  11. you know for all the bad the things you talk about with PC, you never bring up the good. like how PC made the adjustments to put themselves back in the game instead of just laying down and quiting. and before you go off i under stand that you did say "but they came back and made up 4 that", but you are really good at giving back hand compliments. as for the end of the game it look like to me they were trying to get reed on the outside edge, not run up the middle, and the feild goal from where the fumble was at the end of the game would have been close to 50 yards. But hey you have your opinions just like I do, so say what you want, but remeber you may be eating your words some day!
  12. no offense taken big bigby, i agree with you that the PC-Zion game will be a good game
  13. I think PC has an excellent chance of winning this week. I mean look at the MtP game, PChad a 3-0 lead over halfway through the 1st quarter. PC is getting better every week and the hard work is going to pay off soon, hopefully on friday night!!! Go Vikings!!! p.s.- I read on the MtP/PC psot that PC "ran the the wedge and sweep too much", well guys the old sayin goes: run it till they stop it, and the full back was getting yards on the wedge all night!
  14. Hey that's the support Iwas talking about having Blaster! And it is true footbal may never be given the support that basketball has by the powers that be, but we as parents and as a community can give these boys all the support we have! Go PC and good luck Friday night!!!
  15. They may have had a spring practice but not with the new coaching staff, what i'm trying to say is that bradley was a good coach for PC, but a new coach with a new staff is going to have problems. we need to give it time before we start calling for a new coach. Also PC has had 4 coaches since the return of football, its hard to have stability in the program with that much change. PC's time is coming they may take some lumps this year but it will make them better for the coming years. And yes it does stink that this is Reed's and Phillip's, and the other four seniors' last year and it might end up being a wash. And the reason my name is pchssupporter, is beacuse I know that kids just like adults get on hear and read these posts, and I was tired of reading all the negative garbage being posted by PC fans, yes some is non-objective criticism, but i just think PC Football needs to know that it has supporters!!
  16. first of all folks, the offense for PC has been changed once and only once! They went to the I-Form becuase it give the o-line easier blocking schemes. Also the I-Form gives them an option threat and a chance to put Reed at QB! in the huntland game they still run the Double wing they just split out the ends some to try and 8and 9 people out of the box, its not a different offense just an adjustment. PLEASE KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT BEFORE POSTING! Secondly if the old coaches were still at PC they would have the same problems because PC is very, very young, the o-line has 4 under classmen starting on it, the d-line has 3 underclassmen starting! Also, you have to stop and think these guys got a new coach in the summer, that means no spring traing and no summer work-outs, which means PC is about a month behind in the learning process when compared to all the other teams in the region. Give these coaches and these players some time to find themselves, to find thier idenity, to establish this new offense! The kids are working hard and the coaches are getting them in position to make plays, but right now it's a mental and physical struggle, as the season progresses PC will get better, but saying kids need to tell the other kids how to play and that coaches don't know what they are doing isn't making PC better it's making them worse because it takes away confidence. Remeber guys this is a game that means alot to us but it means way more to the kids and they need to know that all facets of thier team are being supported!!!! GO PC!!!!
