Well, it seems Bruce Lussier has run-off another coach. Word from Oak Ridge is that he has Lost Mike Mullins a 12 year member of the Oak Ridge staff. That makes two coaches in four months. I guess they just got tired of the my way or the highway attitude of King Bruce. Hopefully, Gray will get mad and leave too because that would leave King Bruce alone. Good Luck to the guys this season but lets do it without Lussier. Oak Ridge has the talent this season to win it all but this turmoil in the coaching staff might ruin it for all of the guys. Hey, Helton.. end this and hire a new guy next season.

How are things going in Oak Ridge these days? Are they still planning to run the Wing T? Are the Coaches getting ready for another sub-par season? I hope not. Lets go 15-0 and remind the state just how good Oak Ridge was before Lussier came to town. What will Gray and Lussier going to do when Booker is gone? Retire no doubt. Their system doesn't win but good players have made them look better than they are. Any thoughts?

I too think Oak Ridge will win the game but I think the game will be close because of Gray's play calling. Does anybody besides me think this guy sends in the plays by the seat of his pants? Blount County Officials are some of the worst in Tennessee. Do they call any other games outside of Blount County? I don't think so. If you are coming in to play a Blount County keep your camera rolling and be ready to send the tape to the TSSAA. They are bad.

I think you might see a new OR team if Coach Gray (offensive Genius) takes his boy out and plays the three best runningbacks on the team. It took an injury to get this done. Oak Ridge has a very good team and when the Coaches see who can play and who can't they will be tough to beat. So OR is not ranked high enough. There is something to say for playing seniors but if they can't play its hurts everybody. Does Wilson County have anymore openings for Gray to apply to?

It is true he has been under a lot of pressure since he took the job and I think he knew coming in that with this job, comes the pressure. He has a way of turning what he says into personal attacks on his players. I don't know why but he does this. He is a negative guy by nature I guess. The interviewing of other choices never took place. It was decided by a nearly retired AD that didn't want to go through the process. Gary Rankin at Riverdale to name one wanted the job but his state championships were not good resume material I guess. The kids on this 2002 believe in themselves and will do what they can to win the remaining games but let me tell you they won't be having fun like other programs because of Bruce Lussier. Go Cats !!

Good Post OS91. I think that outsiders could look at this and say that the Oak Ridge fans need to just shut up and let the kids play ball. What they don't know is that most of the kids playing have the same feelings towards Lussier. You really can't talk until you walk a mile in their shoes. It isn't all about the winning and the losing. Its the respect that he doesn't give to the players, parents, fans and even to his fellow Coaches. Sure a coach can't play for them on Friday nights but Oak Ridge is not without talent this season. Not taking anything away from Anderson County because they played a fine game. Oak Ridge had more talent but the best team didn't win. Oh well, that happens sometimes. Not to Oak Ridge at home. Oak Ridge has lost their last three games. You tell me when that has ever happened? Lussier doesn't know how to lead or communicate with young men. He is not a motivator and almost downplays getting hiped for a game because he thinks the kids will lose focus. If you have kids, you know at this level they feed off of their emotions. He feels it makes them think less clearly. He has taken the fun out of football for them. I don't feel that he should resign in the middle of the season but I do feel that at the end of the season he should call it quits. I hope the Cats go 14-1 the rest of the way out but I still think a change needs to take place just for the good of the program. Once you start a snowball rolling down a mountain, its hard to stop it and I think that is the case here. He will never win back the support of the fans, players and community. Maybe you outsiders can stop by sometime and talk with the football players and find out what is on their minds before you speak for them. I have one at my house and he starts but this is the way he feels about the situation.

I think its time that Bruce do the right thing and resign. The once proud Oak Ridge program has fallen to new depths after losing Friday night to a 3A school. Anderson County wasn't that much better but they were much more prepared. AC knew what Oak Ridge was going to do on almost every play. They took away the passing game but Gray and company never saw that. Over 100 yards of penalties and at least three turnovers because of a lack of focus point to one thing. They were not ready to play. That is Lussier's job and he failed. Oak Ridge has now lost three straight games and I think its time that a change is made. I know that the school staff won't make a change after one game but I think if Lussier cares about his legacy ( the only thing he does care about) then he should step down. The fans will not support him after last night and without the money football brings into the school the other sports are going to suffer. I call upon all parents and fans of the other sports to let Mr. Green know that you are concerned and that he should make a change if Lussier isn't man enough to.
