I agree. I coached for 3 years, an assistant for 2 and a head coach for one the 2nd year got on my dang nerves. Why aint so in so playing "I dont know he didnt come to practice or it was a close game and your kid is fifth string". The year I was a head coach I tought it was gonna be worse and actually I was very lucky the parents were great. But I have seen some programs where the parents(booster clubs) call the shots and I hate it that these coaches have to go through that. Im bad, Id just tell them to take their kid to another school but Im sure Id get my #### chewed first thing Monday morning.

Also I dont know if Portland still does it but right before kick off the train runs right behind the visitor side and horn blowing and all.

Virginia Tech I heard Melrose back in the late 90's use to use the whole field to warm up even on away games and then the band starts playing as soon as the bus hits the parking lot and they dont stop

In 1997 Spring Hill's Soph. Kicker Nathan Thurman attempted a 74 yard field goal against Boliver Central in the second round of the 3A play offs with 6 seconds left. I know this is a made FG thread. But I remember standing in the huddle and I asked Nathan if he was nervous. Heck I tried to calm him down. Cause the day before we were talking about the longest FG ever made. Needless to say we lost 15-13.

Well said and yeah it took me about 20 minutes to read the second paragraph. Lewis Co needs a tougher schedule or bump up to 3A. I cant remember the last time Lewis Co made it through the second round. I also have another question last year if Im not mistaken in the first round of the play offs why did this region face each other. Everyone I asked didnt have an answer

I think all but two of the coaches are new. But I think if Ned and Magwan had time they should come back to talk to the players and give them a pep talk and what it takes to play Football at the next level. Trust me I wish I would have know what I was getting myself into. Fastpitch do you have someone on the team that you know. Also I meant Blue Cross Bowl not Clinic Bowl.

I really cant tell you much about the admin up there, if you attended all of those games then you have seen more than what I have. My younger brother plays football and my youngest sister plays soccer. I have only been to one game against LC and none of the soccer games. As far as I know Coach Young(Basketball) is doing a fine job I always joked around with him and asked him when is he gonna take the gridiron path. He would work the heck out of you. So I really cant say much about basketball. Baseball, I know coach Lamb, and I coached with him at EA Cox middle a few years ago, as far as I know the baseball team is improving and coach Lamb has the intensity and attitude to get it right. Softball well there was a sore spot with coach a few years back but that wont help a program that much. Like I said if you have been to several games you have seen more than what I have seen. As far as Spring Hill being big Ill be honest my thought, the arrival of Independence didnt help much I think the kids especially football players would want to push that way since they played in the Clinic Bowl last year. The feeder system needs work. EA Cox Middle- They need to have a steady program in athletics. I was the Head Football Coach in 07 and I had almost givin up my career to start coaching again till I saw all of the Bull they went through at that school. I was lied to by the Principle and the AD. Im sure its happened more than once. So the feeder program is screwed up. They cant find a steady coach. I suggest they build another middle school or fire the principle and AD. I dont even think they have PE. Rex Slatton would be a great AD and he also be fair in every sport. Anyways the group I coached were a great group of kids I think that they would help that program. Coach Scharsh- I think he has a great game plan I have alway been a fan of the I formation. I did read doogie37 post earlier he was kinda blunt about it. I actually think Furtaw should line up at NG on the center on the snap arm side and mess things up. The D needs some work. Oline needs to drive their man. I think Spring Hill will have a great season next year but the need to finish strong this year. Coach Scharsh has a good plan the boys just need to execute the basics. To be honest with the new Z-Plan Instead of scheduling Alcoa, they need to schedule Independence, Columbia Central, Mt. Pleasant, Franklin, Centential heck even Columbia Academy. They need to start some rivalry games to make some money and put it into their program. Does anyone know what region Spring Hill will be in. Fast Pitch Im sure I didnt answer your question. I think he is coming out he has been sidelined all season long. Im sure he is excited, but the Head Trainer has the final say so. I wont be able to make it I just had surgery again last week and its pretty hard to jump,yell, stand up, any kind of movement in general. Im gonna try to make it on the 24th. I hate to see that Coach Roder is no Longer Coaching. I hate that for anyone. I have no idea who the coaches are for Hickman Co., I know last years coach left to go back home which happens. This is where I am confused Hickman Co is what 5-1 now and lost to a very good Marshall Co by 1. Last year yall made it to the quarterfinals. Before that yall couldnt win a game. If Im right it started in 1999 yall went 0-10 and struggled to win 10 games in 6 years( Im sure thats not accurate). Your team is 5-1 why are you complaining

The city is definently blowing up I remember taking in all kinds of quotes for different Companies when I worked at the Spring Hill area. I also remember when it was nothing but farm land also.

GLAD TO SEE THAT I AM NOT THE ONLY USC FAN ON THIS SIDE OF THE COUNTRY ALL I CAN SAY IS FIGHT ON IN 1999 AT SPRING HILL WE WERE TRAILING NASHVILLE OVERTON 14-7 THE WHOLE GAME AND WE GOT THE BALL BACK WITH UNDER A MINUTE LEFT . ON 4TH AND 20 WE THREW A HAIL MARY DOWN TO THE 10 YARD LINE. I SCORED A TD WITH 12 SECONDS LEFT ON THE CLOCK AND OUR COACH WANTED TO GO FOR TWO. I WAS A 270LB TAILBACK WHO SHOULD HAVE JUST BULLED MY WAY IN, INSTEAD I TRIED TO JUMP OVER THE LINE AND HALF OF MY BODY WAS IN THE END ZONE WITH THE BALL, THE REF SAID NO GOOD AND WE LOST 14-13. TALK ABOUT BEING SICK TO YOUR STOMACH LATER THAT NIGHT WE CHECK OUT OUR ENDZONE CAMERA AND I WAS IN. SO PRETTY MUCH HERE IS A LESSON FOR ALL OF THE BIG BACKS OUT THERE " JUST RUN EM OVER"

Agree. I love the Raiders but they have to get in that weight room and lock the dang doors. I agree a bigger weight room would be nice.
