  1. Well. I have no faith in Antioch whatsoever, they have two players like you said. Hunter's Lane I don't know too much about, but I assume they're solid with a 7-1 record. I'll take Gallatin fans word for it since ya'll have seen them. All I do know is Hendersonville is good and Gallatin seems to be back to the old days as well. Normally there are 2 solid teams from this region, but with HHS, GHS, and HLHS, this could be the first time in a while that there has been 3 good ones. Only time will tell I guess.
  2. Top 3 teams in this region look very strong, we should be fare well in the playoffs. I see Region 5 going 3-1 in the first round no matter what the pairings end up being.
  3. Big win for the Commandos, never a doubt in this one. Can't wait for that region championship game next week vs Gallatin. Man, Yazzie might just be the player of the year in the region, what a stud athlete.
  4. 37 points on one of the greatest defenses we've ever seen, quite an accomplishment. Guess Gallatin has one of the great offenses of all time ha. Congrats to Gallatin. The real region championship will be played next week at Paul Decker field up in Hendersonville by the way, although I'm guessing everyone will say this was it.
  5. How is that sweetheart? IF you win and Hville beats you and wins out, I do believe that would give Hville and Hunter's Lane the same amount of region wins with the tiebreaker going to Hendersonville, or is that too complicated for you to understand? And I wouldn't be bringing up ineligible players after what HLHS got away with last year bro.....
  6. This Hunter's Lane epic D talk is really quite amusing. I would just like to point out here and now that Hendersonville has given up the same amount of points as Hunter's Lane this season......to better quality teams! You're defense isn't as amazing as you think Hunter's Lane, or you wouldn't have given up 28 points to a 2 win Stratford team. But just go on and think that you have one of the great defenses to ever step onto the field in the history of high school football in this state, or should I say in the history of this nation? I hope the poor little Sumner County teams can handle this "amazing" D, because clearly we haven't seen anything this great before. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> On a side note, two seasons ago Hendersonville's defense gave up an average of 11.75 points per game, and that was after the entire regular season and 2 playoff games. So through more games, they still had a lower points per game average than this "amazing" Hunter's Lane D does right now. If ya'll have one of the best defenses that I'll ever see, I guess I saw THE GREATEST DEFENSE EVER!!!!! I hope all my ranting has helped you realize that you're just not that great HLHS, with all your poor scheduling and easy wins and all. I also hope I'm not too late to make it onto the bulletin board, although I find it silly that a coach would go to this website to find bulletin board material, sounds like he can't get his team motivated to play big bad Gallatin without it. /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />
  7. This game has been an absolute classic the last two years with both games being a one point Commando win. Two years ago the win came when Overton muffed a hold on a field goal and attempted a pass that the Commandos took 100 yards to the house to win. Last year's win came after the Overton offense failed on a surprise 2-point, recovered the following onside kick, and promptly threw an interception to seal the Hville win. That being said....this one won't be so close, the Commandos are much stronger this year, and they should be more than ready to win this one and set up an old school high stakes battle against the Green Wave.
  8. ole camo wearing one? priceless lol
  9. I'll just take that post for what it's worth.....a load of crap. lol One of the best defenses I'll ever see in high school football? Seriously? So it's swarming with D1 players then, because I haven't heard of any coming out of Hunter's Lane that is for sure. Why the attack on Hendersonville? Why not Gallatin, since you're about to play them and all? I'm guessing that you're a player on this year's team, and a delusional one at that, so why don't you just concentrate on the team you're about to play in 2 days? You'd better be ready for them because Gallatin sure as heck won't be looking past you man.
  10. Always is a good game, no matter what the score shows at the end. Even if it's completely lopsided one way or the other (for Gallatin the last couple of years), you can always be assured that those players are going to be down there knocking the snot out of each other ha. I can't wait.
  11. My point is that someone brought up last year's game like the same thing will happen this year. I was simply saying that this is a new Hendersonville team, as well as a new Gallatin team of course, so to assume the exact same thing will happen is pretty much retarded.
  12. This thread got great in a hurry, thanks squoshwave lol.
  13. What is Coach Lassiter's overall record against Hendersonville?
  14. "Your time will come." How ominous haha This isn't last year, this is a new team with a different attitude towards playing football and it's showing. We'll talk about the Gallatin game when that game comes, for now we have Overton and ya'll have Hunter's Lane. You might just want to get to concentrating on that don't ya think? And yeah, Wilhoit was a kicker, davidlee was saying that kicking and punting is only half of special teams. We just happen to have an amazing other half of special teams in the return and block game. Our kicking game isn't amazing by any means, and Gallatin's may be better, but give me a great punt returner over a great punter any day, just my philosophy though....
  15. Hendersonville will win the region. STOP MAKING NEW THREADS ON THIS TOPIC!!!!! /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
  16. I don't really know anything about him honestly, is he especially good? After that long return by Antioch last week, I wouldn't be too surprised if they did kick around the return man though.
  17. never a bad thing when you are a starter on the offensive line of a Hendersonville team as a sophomore, one heck of a player
  18. How could I forget to mention Hville's special teams?!?! It has been a long long time since I have seen a team with this good of kick and punt teams. Yazzie is a threat to take a punt or kick to the house at any time, almost happened twice last week. Also, they can block a kick at any time. These teams could honestly be a difference in either the Gallatin or HLHS game I think, and it has to give Hville the edge.
  19. I would just like to add that Gallatin is ranked in 62nd in strength of schedule and Hunter's Lane is ranked 54th, while Hendersonville is ranked 33rd in that category. Hendersonville beat down a 6-2 SC team, on of the better teams in 3A and lost to a 6-1 Beech team, one of the best in 4A. Yet everyone somehow assumes that Hendersonville isn't as good as Gallatin and HLHS, what have these teams done to prove that they are better than Hville? For the record, I pick Gallatin, assuming their QB is playing that is.
  20. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> I am a sucker for Region crown talks, but I guess you already knew that. This should be a pretty dang good game though, from what I hear from both teams. Is Gallatin's QB hurt?!?! That could change everything if he is.....
  21. geez, drama queen, my post was a joke haha
  22. I for one, can't even stand to watch the Warriors these days because of their helmets. I mean, come on guys, how hard is it to get the feathers the correct way?!? It's just lazy is what it is.
  23. Could be for the Region 5-5A crown.....but won't be. No sir, that game will be either the HHS-Gallatin or HHS-HLHS game I do believe. But this game will certainly be important in deciding who gets #2 in the region. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
  24. Can't say Hendersonville played extremely disciplined either though. All that scrambling by Davis led to the Hville secondary getting a lot of holding and pass interference calls. Pretty sloppy game penalty wise by both teams I thought. I agree on the strategy though. Although Hville didn't get many sacks, they still got a ton of pressure and had good containment to keep Antioch's O off balance in the second half.
