that's exactly why they are number one every year.... everyone gives em to much respect and treats em like an all-world football team. your right they are very good but until a team decides to step up and punch riverdale right back nobody will beat them. I give riverdale alot of props but I'm tired of everyone always talking about how good they are. That list doesn't have very many competitive games but where is the one game that matters? the one last year. It's about the gold ball not about scores.

i'm not sure but i think if you win by 1 or by 49 a win is a win.

smyrna should fill a whole lineup this year also and they have about 5 or 6 good wrestlers returning and three state qualifiers. the 215 was 2 points away from state last year and Matt martin should contend to win region at 135 or 140. Kyle saunders who was 145 last year got third as a freshman and should win region at 160 this year. Frazier is either going 171 or 189 depending on where his weight is at after football. two time region medalist at 160.

i thought everybody was sayin jaeckel was going 171. Region 8 might not be that strong but it ain't no cakewalk. i'm sure a bunch of teams have some studs on their team who are ready to show out. werazzlin might agree that just because a team wasn't super strong last year don't automatically write h-ville up as region champs again.

thats what i'm thinkin personally it should be interesting. It seems to me like WC has their stuff together and are starting to come together at just the right time. 21- wilson central 17- riverdale

He is a standout athlete for Oakland who was playin qb for them on one particular play and got hit by Smyrna's ss Cammon. He broke like three vertabrea in his neck and is in a halo. When he got hit i didn't think he was seriously injured because i was right beside him and he got up and walked off. But that's the story i got and i think the person you need to ask is 2priceless.

very true.... Like i said on the Smyrna vs. Lincoln County board friday night is one team versus another. Especially in the playoffs throw out the past and throw out records and what people say. Riverdale better believe that Wilson Central will show up this time.

Smyrna put up 30+ on riverdale and twenty eight on Wilson Central aren't they some of the top defenses around. And the whole spankee and spanker thing is dumb anybody can play a terrible half or one team can play a magical half. Friday nights are about one team vs. the other not who beat who and the spankee and so on......

Lincoln County does have some big boys but just about everybody in region 4 has big boys. Siegel was huge and finished 5th.

You have to think though Smyrna has played Riverdale and oakland and Wilson Central who predominately run the ball and then Lavergne and Blackman and Gallatin and Siegal who all threw it more. I'm just wondering but who all has Lincoln county played that matches up with that schedule? oh yeah and Brentwood and Brentwood Academy

Is it magic that riverdale had 500 yards of total offense the first game last year but MAGICALLY only scored one touchdown in the second game. Playoffs are totally different, after the regular season teams pick up the intensity and start playing more physical. Just because you guys beat WC a couple weeks ago don't write them off because they are a good team and might suprise some people.

yeah more than half of smyrna's team is playing football from freshman to jv to varsity. That includes a couple starters

your right... I do feel bad for the Cookeville seniors because they were nice guys. you hate to end anybodys football career but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Actually for the four years I have been involved at Smyrna 82cat has done nothing but help our program evolve. From fundraising to extra coaches to organizing every pre game meal and friday breakfast every other school in the county and across the state would love to have 82cat as their qb club president. So choosenone i'm sorry your so down about our program but you must be from LaVergne so it's understandable what is it 20-1 now

why didn't they wrestle each other today? does patton have the strength and power to contend with quick? to a certain extent technique helps but against the big boys you have to be strong.

what about bryson or sanders or hagar or torres or hendricks or meadows or king or frazier or gardner.... can you stop all the dogs

I think Smyrna is good at ending streaks also. Two weeks ago beat Wilson Central no more home games for those guys. Last week beat Cookeville no more games for those seniors.. what about those streaks
