  1. HOWARD WILL WIN THIS ONE, GOOD LUCK HOWARD AND HOPEFULLY IT WILL COME DOWN TO MEIGS VS HOWARD IN 2ND ROUND
  2. IM TAKING MCMINN CENTRAL IN A LATE COMEBACK TO WIN THIS ONE 21-17
  3. SO WILL THAT BE 8:30 EASTERN TIME? AND BY THE WAY, WHICH WAY WOULD IT BE BEST TO TAKE COMING FROM MEIGS? WOULD IT BE QUICKER TO GO THROUGH KINGSTON AND HIT I40, OR GO THROUGH CROSSVILLE AND HIT I40?
  4. Its according which Meigs team shows up to play. If the Meigs team that played Howard the first half shows up, Meigs has a good chance. If the Meigs team that played Sequoyah the first half, then Station Camp will have a field day...Agree?
  5. I think Meigs pulls the upset and wins in OT by one point, considering they always go for 2pt conversions. I think Central will win against Greenbrier and second round will come down to Meigs vs Central. Dont let the rankings in region 3-3a fool you. Any of the top four teams are pretty well even, losing by one or two points to each one. So playing Meigs being forth, is like playing Central the 1st place team, they are all pretty well even
  6. If Meigs loses, they still have a shot to be in playoffs. Notre Dame would have to beat Polk and Meigs would have to lose to Sequoyah to knock Meigs out of running. Am I right?>
  7. Meigs had Howard 14-6 in the fourth quarter headed for another touchdown, but got stopped short and that gave howard the momentum to take it into overtime. All four teams in this region are tough, all losing by 1-2 points on each other. I think region 3-3a may make some noise in the playoffs. wouldnt it be nice to sweep the region
  8. If Howard can get through Meigs, then they will beat Central also because of such momentum. I feel if Meigs beats Howard, then Central will beat them also. I say if Meigs beats Polk, in which I think they will, they will beat Howard and end the season with one season loss, possibly winning the region if....and this is a big if.... if central loses to polk and howard. If Meigs wins rest of games, and Central loses to one or both teams, Meigs will finish either first or second in region. If Meigs loses to Polk, then I think Meigs will end up in fourth, possibly helping Central if Meigs can beat Howard. Who knows , but my prediction stands at: 1) Meigs wins rest of region games, captures region again 2)Howard finishes second, only loss being to Meigs 3) Polk finishes 3rd, losing to Howard and getting upset by Meigs 4) Central falls to 4th, losing to Howard and Polk. They also lose to a decent Grundy team, by over-looking them. If Meigs loses to Polk this week, they will lose to Howard too. That will drop them to 4th in region. Polk will be settled in 3rd place, with the region coming down to last game of the year between Howard and Central.(Just like in 05 between Polk/Notre Dame) It will all tell when the score of the Meigs/Polk game is over.
  9. sounds like an excellent candidate to me.
  10. well im only a recruiter for 3-3a and 4-3a but my good friend that recruits west tennessee will be interested in all these stats, i will copy and email them to him. Thanks buddy. And as far as the Boyd/S Pitt game, thats not my region neither. Im going to the Polk/Meigs game Friday. I think Tim(the recruiter from that region) is planning on going to that game. Any other news on players I can pass on?
  11. Coach Allison has his struggles at times, but he will get it turned around one day. They have some very good assistant coaches too. Look for the program to start slowly turning around
  12. This game is making me more excited every day as it gets closer to us. Can't wait to see what kind of kicker Polk has. Good luck to both teams
  13. I'm so excited about this game, can't wait to watch it
  14. Not by all means, I have just been a big fan of Meigs and Polk football playing style. I moved here from Alabama about 4 years ago. Went to a little highschool outside of Talladega. I played 4 yrs at Troy where I then went on the coaching staff. Just recently me and my family moved up here and my little girl is now a freshmen at Chatt Central. I used to follow Polk Co alot in the 05 season. I really thought they would of won the region. Every since Hamby graduated I have fell back to the next similar back which is Mobriant. I was shocked Hamby didn't get a ride somewhere. I'm not a native of any team in this area, let alone the state. I have been on the Moc's faculty for two years with this year getting promoted as a recruiter. I just watch around pile stats together, and put together the players in which me and the other coaches will contact to see how grades are compiling. So next year I will probably be a fan of the next back similar to Mobriant. I'm definitlely looking at the kicker from Polk. Who does Howard or someone have that is a good scout pick. Just because I'm scouting them don't mean I will take on the job to recruit them. Im just in charge of this region and I don't have nothing to do with the other regions and divisions in state. So just because I'm so interested in Mobriant don't mean he will get scholarship here because a west or middle tenn team may have a better back that plays as hard as Mobriant ya know. Quick question though, I heard that White House had some major lineman the past two seasons, does anyone know anything about them? Or is there any linemen in this region worth giving looks to? Im not here to hate on any team...I was a success in recruits at Troy and hopefully I can bring some good recruits into chatt area
  15. This is my first year buddy so I didnt have nothin to do with 05
  16. Because Meigs defense had one of the best games of the year last week
  17. Legend you really know your football dont ya? You have almost been right on every thread you have predicted. Lol you need a recruiting job lol. I say Meigs in this one too
  18. not a coach, just on the recruiting staff . This is my first year. Im specified to only look into regions 3-3a and 4-3a . There are eight others lookin at different regions in tn.
  19. I believe if Meigs beats Polk this week, that will give them enough confidence to beat Howard the following week. SO if Meigs wins in the Polk game, I believe Meigs will be in the top two spots in playoffs, possibly winning region. So if Meigs loses Polk, Meigs will fall in the back seat in 4th position and go into playoffs. But think about it in recent years. The past two years, the fourth place team in the region always comes close to beating the first place team in nashville area. Meigs was down 7-0 in 4th quarter in 2005 when they got stopped inside 5yd line. Greenbrier was almost defeated. Then last year our 4th place team in our region held is close to Station Camp....so who knows it will be a wild finish and after polk/meigs game will start sorting the playoffs out a little better
  20. I think most defenses would rather play the running back from Howard any day rather than Mobriant. The defenses get tired of getting run over the first half by him. Meigs has the most physical running back in the region. And by the way, Mobriant didn't take a back seat to nobody. When he arrived in 9th grade, he was already in the action. Imagine if Meigs had a bigger line what the damage Mobriant could do. He basically has to fight for his yardage himself. Dont get me wrong, Meigs linemen have heart but no size and speed. He may not be the fastest with the best moves, but he is a country boy thats not afraid to lower his head and run over you
  21. lol funny, buddy I do get paid for these things. If you think there is another back in the region that has had as much success as this one has your crazy
  22. I agree with you, football is a game, nobody should get on here and bash somebodys son. If somebody bashed my son, I would be on them. Lets just keep this a friendly topic and see what peoples outlook on the Meigs/Polk game will be
  23. His brother Charlie Mobriant, an all-state player 3 years in a row at mlb, was getting looks from Georgia Tech his junior year, but I think his little brother Tyler is a little better
