Hey hawkman, I'm glad to see you can type a little more than 3 word sentences. I know most Hamptonites have trouble with that. I would'nt be so sure that week ten is a given if I were you.

Well, my wife is running a fever. If she ain't any better by tommorrow, I won't get to make it up there. I'll have to give my taters and deer steaks to 91LANDERS to take up there.

I didn't take them as harsh. I took them as yelps from a little Hampton puppy tied up on the porch.

I remember a young Hampton team that went 3-7 in 1994. They had a bunch of young freshman and sophomores that year. The same bunch went to the quarterfinals in 1996. Youth has a lot to do with how good a team is. Every now and then you get freshmen like Mark Byrd who was better than a lot of seniors. That Hampton team improved over the course of 3 seasons. I've seen Cloudland do it too. They were young in 1997 when they went 2-8. The next year, they turned it into 8-2. Young kids have to grow physically and learn more about the sport mentally as well. Most freshman and soph. are only average and they are not going to compete with the older kids. I'm sure BigBlue and his staff will work with these young kids and they will get better. Sometimes people need to think about what it would be like if the shoe was on the other foot.

I think this topic should steer back to Cloudland and Avery tommorrow night. Hampton and Cosby done played their game. Hampton won big. Really not much more to talk about. I know coach Shelton will field more teams capable of beating the Bulldogs and a lot of other teams in the future and coach Turbyfill will also field teams that will beat the Bulldogs and alot of other teams in the future.

Bigblue, Cloudland's staff respects everyone they play and prepares like it is the biggest game of the year. You coaches have nothing to be ashamed of after what you have done at Cosby. Coach Robbie has saved our program as well. I think they all should be commended on the dedication to being successful.

I think Cloudland is a very good football team. I'm just trying to give the other teams a little respect unlike I used to. Avery will be a challenge. I also gave West Greene respect before we played them. I even think it will be tough against the Creekers. Sometimes I think people liked me better when I talked trash.

I hope we do win big, but in my opinion I think Cosby's kids will fight us hard. They will be on their home field and there coaches will have them fired up. I'd rather respect them than make bold predictions on here.

Man, I know I was frustrated after the West Greene game. We were almost as good as them and got beat by 3 TDs. Our offense is so basic now that we can't afford any mistakes at all. We no longer have the running threat at QB so that takes away the option that worked so well for us the last 2 years. Now we just line up and come at you. I tell everyone I talk to that the Cosby and Cloudland game will be closer than most think. I know coach Shelton and you guys will only get better and better as the season goes. P.S. I hope everything goes well for your family and I hope the new little one will be healthy.

The only games I think Hampton could lose are to HV and Johnson Co. up yonder. Other than that, I reckon it would be a huge upset for Cloudland to knock them off. On paper and comparison to other teams we don't have a chance but I'm glad the game is played on the field where more shocking things have happened.

Cosby's coaches have alot of passion. We could use more of that type of excitement.

I have a hard time believing that Coach Shelton would taunt players. Correct them, maybe, but not taunt them. I'm sure that if coach Lunsford found out one of his players was running his mouth on the opposing sideline, then that player would be benched for a couple of games.

I think Cloudland wins this one by at least 2 TD's. Avery is very young and don't like it to get too physical. Granted, Avery has some very talented skill players. It will be a challenge to the Highlander defense.

We got Avery Co. up there. They are hard to beat at home. They don't like playing run defense, so I think we should dominate. Hampton ran for 250 yards in one quarter against them.

I heard which crew did the officiating and if them refs are reading this, you all need to keep your day jobs. Every where this crew goes, they throw 700 flags. You all are a bunch of idiots who need to give it up.

Hey Rusty, tell your dad I said hello. Hope little brother or should I say big brother has a good year. You all will have your hands full with WG. They like to run alot of crack backs. Your defensive ends will have to play well or they will get outside on you all night. No. 12 loves to get outside. He is hard to tackle once he gets out there. They like to overload one side and they run a lot of delays. They had good success against us with the delay. They like to throw a quick pass to their slot man when they get the right coverage. They scored on us with this play. I think it is no. 15 that they like to throw it to. The QB likes to roll to the left and throw down field. Defensively, you have to get No. 40 blocked or he will kill your skill people. I think his name is Clark and he is a stud. He disrupted our offense quit a bit. You guys will have to be able to run the football to win the game. If you don't run for a 100 yards then you're beat. You'll never open up a passing game against WG unless you can run the ball. I think Hampton will win 28-14. Unicoi always plays them tough.

You all will be beaten into submission by West Greene. They are physical and strong up front. I say they beat the Rangers at least 28-7.

I hate it for Coach Brewer. He is a classy person. He's even gonna let us bring our food up there and set up. If Avery cans him at the of the season, I heard he may wind up running the defense at Cloudland. I wonder if their is any truth to it?
