  1. Don't act like you did not want BA to win, you go there. Your the student w/ the electronic megaphone and the big mouth. Am I mistaken on that??
  2. The score of this game was not indicative of how MBA domanted this game. I left the game at the start of the 4th, but all the credit (not all but most) needs to go to the MBA O-line and Defense. The O-line punushed BAs defensive line and opened some huge holes for all the running backs. Congrats to both teams who are the two best teams in DII. And to MBA, what a great season (13-0), congrats to the coaching staff and team. Well done!
  3. Hadoucken, please spare us your prediction (you stink at it)! I think your dislike for MBA has blinded you to reality. BA could win this game, but it sure is not a given. Both teams deserve to have a shot at the State Championship. If you take off your blinders you may be able to enjoy a classic High School football game / match up. Relax and enjoy.
  4. Next weeks match up should be a classic, both teams seemed to have peeked over the lasts couple of weeks (strong all season). Hope the Wx holds up, I will not miss this game. Still going w/ MBA, by 3 points.
  5. It's a great night for playoff football! Anyone want to change their prediction??
  6. I would think that's a mistake if it's true. Good luck to both teams. I'm sticking with me previous prediction (right or wrong). I think that's it?? MBA 20 FR 7
  7. Vandy beating Tennessee was an anomaly, but I will not go there cause this is a HS board. I just could not let that pass by. I don't think FR will win, but anything can happen. IF MBA comes in over confident (not playing fundamentally sound, physical play etc.), or looking toward the big game, they could get beat. I've been very impressed with how focussed they been all year. I don't see that changing. MBA 20 FR 7
  8. Did not know you were the holder of the truth??
  9. This isn't an English / poetry class, please spare us all and keep your comments to football! What has this thread come to??
  10. Not this year, Hillsboro has too much offense and overall team speed. Should be a good game after last years loss, additional motivation for MJ (just not enough for a win).
  11. Leaving BA out of it, I read the threads last week from CBHS and there was no way EHS was going to win the game. Was CB soft all year long, or just last week? That's an awful lot of arm tackes he ran through, 250+ yards worth. I would have to think that the O-line has to get "some credit" for blowing open some rather large holes?? Did Melrose or the other inner-city team @@@@ up those type numbers on your D-fense (maybe they did?)? Just curious
  12. If that is true - I would not have expected anything other that what happened (42-10). Correct me if I'm wrong, did Ensworth only have a Frosh. and Soph class at that time?? According to previous posts they probably had a total of no more than 80 boys at the school in 2005. If there is an upside for EHS, it's that the team has gotten a lot of playing time under Bower's system (3 or 4 years). I'm not saying EHS will win this game, but if BA overlooks them like CBHS seemed too - it could be a very interesting game (remember the Mich. game). The last thing you want to do is let a underdog start believing in themselves, if it's close in the 4th qtr. anything can happen. EHS can not afford any injuries during this game (depth is an issue). On paper BA is the winner, let it be won on the field! Good luck to each team, hope it's a game both fans can be proud of.
  13. I think MBA was the one Laughing Out Load after the first BA game. BA "may" take the next match up if they both play for the title, but you can't take the first victory away from them no matter how many excuses you give! You are the one that has to prove you can beat them.
  14. Last year is over, everyone needs to get over it! Concentrate on this weeks game, after all it is the most important game each side has coming up. I did not make the last game between the two games, but hope to this week. Can anyone give a synopsis of game?
  15. Why weren't they ready to play the first game?? That was a big game, sounds like more excuses. They have another chance, let's see what happens. MBA wins again
  16. What kind of speed does he have (40 time)??
  17. Can you go more in depth as to why it will not be a close game and why they will be dominated physically? Your thought process should make for good analysis.
  18. Jefferson would definitely help, but they said the same thing prior to the CBHS game. Don't get me wrong, CBHS is not a BA, but EHS was able to run up 300+ yards against the #1 defense (statistically) in DII. Should be a good game, EHS has convinced me that no team should over look them.
  19. I'm too lazy to go back and find the CB post (one individual not all) that was ready to start the pary after the BA game. Bet you have a real hangover now. Please learn from your mistakes, take the high road and don't talk so much trash! Good luck next year, maybe you will get another shot at EHS. For the CB fans that did not agree w/ his (or her) post, sorry I just had to do it! For the CB fan that called the individual out, thanks. Every team has a fan or two that make everyone look bad.
  20. Not so fast my friend! I do agree that MBA and BA are the two best teams, but the best teams don't always end up playing each other. If that's the case lets just go to the finals, lets make them earn it next friday night. There are other games that would be just as exciting.
  21. On target post: The O line deserves a lot of credit!! They were blowing a bigger D-line off the ball and allowed Orleans and Anderson the opportunity to get into open field. Great job O-line and Ed Caudil (sp) who has had them ready to play every week. I was impressed w/ #1 for CB, he is extremely quick and fast (great vision). I was not impressed with his arm, he did not hurt EHS through the air! I was surprised at the easy in which EHS ran the ball, against the number one defense (statistically) in DII. Defense also played well given the amount of time they were on the field during the 1st half. 14 points (CBHS) coming after two EHS fumbles inside their own 35-40 yard line. I wonder if that fan from CBHS is still going to have his party after the BA game, or has that now been called off?? BA will be a monumental task, but EHS has proven they can compete w/ anyone in DII. I'm hoping I can make the BA vs EHS game next week. What will BA be favored by??
  22. I'm afraid FR will get smoked again by MBA, they are just too much to handle (both offense and defense).
  23. WOW, EHS is a better offense with Jefferson (and the others)!! Yes, Orleans and Anderson are formidable backs, but you can't take Jefferson out of the mix and think they are a better offense (your right - he will be missed). He not only lined up as TB, but also put pressure on the defense by linging up at QB. They all have diff. running styles which also throughs the defense off. My only point is that w/o Jefferson they don't have the same punch they did with him. For EHS to be successful both Orleans and Anderson will have to have big games. I do agree that EHS will not go down the tubes cause Jeffeson is out, but certainly they are a better offense with him playing. If you disagree with that I would hate to see your fantasy draft picks! EHS upsets CBHS in a very tight hard hitting game.
  24. I agree with your comments about Jefferson being out (that is a blow to the offense) and the depth issue. I'm not as concerned with the size issue, EHS has played a number of teams that have a size advantage and have managed well. I think Bowers et al has done a great preparing the team all season lang and the players believe they can win. They have over acheive this year, but if CBHS thinks EHS is going to roll over, they will get beat. If some of the posters from CB are a reflection of the players attitudes, an upset is in the making! Good luck to both teams - can't wait to see the final score.
