  1. but im super excited to see how Soddys QB Parrot is a good player anybody think he is college good? somethin like 6'3'' 195 so he is college size 26 tds i think and like 2500 passing yards
  2. Good job to both teams. i now am an owls fan for the rest of the year. but come next year its TROJAN TIME!! But congrats to both teams. Soddy- you really turned things around. makes me wonder what things woulda been like if Weathers :/ wouldnt of been at soddy. but you guys showed alot of heart, nothin to be ashamed of. Owls- Incredible team. now that you all knocked us out you better go get that ring. Hopefully Hooterville will be rockin a few weeks from now when the Owls roll back into town holdin some hardware. Congrats. Go 2 5A
  3. if i had 4 rings, i'd wear them everyday. im sure those kids will be talkin about those special days and that extraordinary accomplishment for decades to come. when i played before every game we used to hear about a past game. one such game was in i believe 1970's. Ooltewah Vs. Soddy. big time game, rainy, muddy, playoff implications. Ooltewah was the better team, lead in the first half, came out, soddy was a different team and ended up winning the game. this rivalry has had some strange things happen from what i have heard. lets just hope that this Friday is a good, SAFE game. GO TROJANS
  4. and what does fat cheerleaders have to do with the fact that you want a running team to throw the ball? but i guess im the lone soddy fan talkin on here. maybe yall dont have the problem that we do. its fall now and everybody in soddy has about 115456486158645642481656454 pounds of leaves to clean up outta their yard. spent 2 hours after i got home from work yesterday doin them. cant even tell i did them now. dont think soddy has any injuries. passing game worked well against the bulldogs last week. defense came out in the second half playing hard. i dont think they gave up any points in the second half (dont hold me to that). but i really dont think that this be a 38-0 or a 41-7 that everybody is talkin about. im thinkin that it could be a 24-21 and a toss-up as to who the winner is. we know what ooltewah will do, they are gonna pass the ball like crazy. i mean no point in running it when they have the best rb in the area right? *note sarcasm* so if Soddy can stop Polk(easier said than done) than Reed will have to pick it up. and your not gonna throw too much on Haney*extremely athletic* and Smith*one of the area leaders in INTs* (Soddy SS and FS) while e.k WILL find a way to put points on the board. i cant remember a game between now and his years at red bank he hasnt been able to score. so saying he will be shut-out is stupid. but either way this should be two things: 1) a great showcase of Chattanooga football and 2) great showing of community pride. both cities are behind these teams. and that provides alot of motivation. whoever wins will represent chattanooga well in the 3rd round. I pray for no injuries and a great game. GO TROJANS Im gonna go do leaves now
  5. although i dont like ooltewah, i have to agree. you got to the playoffs by being a physical team at the line, running past defenders, and playing smash-mouth football on defense. you dont change what your doin once you get to the playoffs. coach weathers told me one time that the best coach he has ever coached agains was coach monroe. at the same time i can see in the not too distant future coach e.k slaughter becoming one of those coaches too. they won as many games this year as they have in the last 3 years total. i cant help but to think the back breaking practices the players have been going through to prepare for this game. i keep thinking that both coaches will ensure this isnt a blowout. i know this sounds defeatus to say, but i hope its a close game. and i think whoever wins will represent this area very well in the third round. but with that being said GO TROJANS /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  6. this is gonna be a great game, my prediction is a closer game than the first meeting. both teams know what each other can do. Soddy now knows that the Owls RB is a beast and doesnt stop pounding out yards. and they also know that they have to come out in the second half as hard as they do in the first half, cause the Owls will. i dont think that the RB for Ooltewah will run wild like he did in the first game. and i think E.K will find a way to ensure his passing game doesnt slow down. Brady Reed has all the ability to pick up any slack that the running game leaves (in my opinion). im really lookin forward to this one. i say whoever wins, probably wins by a td or so.
  7. haha, i wouldnt suggest that around soddy. way to many people own guns. actually..... tell them to go ahead and try their luck /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" />
  8. i was gone for the past few weeks and didnt get to post. but in the heat of the moment. even those who are bashing the kid for doin that would celebrate. your just happy to have made a play. kid is in high school, give him a break. but with the talent on ooltewah they should go deep in the playoffs. Congrats owls. hopefully soddy can win and make it past the 2nd round as it seems to be trouble with soddy football history.
  9. quick question. is the fuss over the fact that you dont know where your money is going? cause i know where mine is going when i pay the 3 at soddy. so it doesnt bother me. just wonderin
  10. i told him they were gonna lose. so i think my homework was right. but i saw we let him move on. he probably stays up at night crying over this.
  11. i would make a prediction. but i think ill go do my homework first. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  12. kinda offsides on that extra point. but moffet for rhea is an exceptional football player. i was at both games for soddy. the rhea team seemed to have a much better pass d. maybe it was that red bank had no film or it was the start of the season. but also rhea can eat you up with those short plays. i dont know the stats but the 3rd down conversion for rhea has to be very high. saw alot of promise for red bank. but the protection seemed suspect. while the rhea pressure seemed pretty good. my shot in the dark says that rhea SHOULD win. but red bank always finds a way to win.
  13. the trip to Farragut is nice. the baseball field is amazing. next 3 games will be good games for soddy. good meaning interesting. wonder if Tribefan 1 comes on here and talks about how we dont know football anymore
  14. yeah, he seemed like he had eyes in the back of his head
  15. Scott Parrot 6' 3" 195 from Soddy Daisy. One of the leading passers in the chattanooga area
  16. man, i watched the Admirals the other day on CSS against WB. man that qb is good
  17. so.... Tribefan1..... if you did your homework. what grade would you give yourself?? id give you a............. 10. i dont know why the number 10 pops out in my mind. good luck the rest of the season though /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  18. according to the soddy football website it costs aprox. $1000 per player to put a team on the field. i know that soddy parking fees went to the JROTC program to pay for uniforms, buses for competitions, ect. those expensive signs around the score board pay for the TSSAA fees a team must pay and for the standard field costs (lights, watering, seed, gas to mow, paint). jerseys are about $35-$50 each. $300-$500 per bus. each season you have to pay for the helmets to get recertified [sp], painted and the decals. food if the team does that. practice field upkeep. but one question. does the cost of the coaches come out of a football budget? and if so is there a limit to what a coach can be paid at a public school?
  19. they dug it all up about 5 years ago and started all over. very nice grass. short grass. new away stands. heard that many more renovations are coming
  20. well if your into stats than maybe you misses the stats that say Scott Parrot is the leading passer in the area. and how Barnes and Haney have 9 and 8 tds. and that Smith has 4 int. but none the less. good game is comin tonight.
  21. ive never seen a kid talk more trash about his 2 yard runs. but he has talent no doubt.
  22. Good job Palin in avoiding the point. i responded to the special teams question. and you moved on to something different. and go ask the rhea county fans. soddy shoulda made the extra point cause rhea was way offsides. but a loss is a loss either way. lookin forward to a good game either way. does #34 still play for McMinn?
  23. well its clear you know nothing about the soddy special teams. Haney, Barnes, and Hubbard(who all play both ways) are the returners. we dont get returns for tds anymore cause we cant find a team with the intestinal fortitude to kick it to Haney. Haney touches the ball on average 7-10 times a game, and scores usually 2 or 3 times. we dont kick field goals, they like to score tds. they dont punt that much either. they tend to prefer first downs. when the kicker actually kicks it to him, we average 47 ish yard line starting position. oh, that would be the other 47 yard line.
  24. i love the quote from talladega nights. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> i think if it comes down to special teams, soddy has the advantage. bubba haney would be the one to break the game open. and after last week i think he showed he can really take a hit
